I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT THE *** I AM HEARING !!!! I AM LOST FOR WORDS .

I COULD NOT GET A DIRECT ANSWER FROM ANYONE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT MY CAR WAS NOT DIAGNOSE PROPERLY THE FIRST DAMN TIME & IF IT WAS IT WOULD HAVE NOT BROKE DOWN ON ME & DONE THE EXACT SAME THING IT DID THE VERY FIRST TIME BEFORE I EVER TOOK IT TO GARY MATHEWS & NOW THEY WANT TO MILK SOMEONE !!!!

We are from Louisiana was visiting Tennessee as a vacation when Our Dodge Caliber 2007 started giving us a problem a pose came up staying throttle body so we repair and replaced it.. After a few days the code still remains so we contacted these company after .they charged $95 to look at it they wanted to charge an additional $750 to change a brand new throttle body stating that that was still the issue..

I do not believe this company actually took the time to actually view problem before they came up with this conclusion. This will definitely not be a company that I will refer anyone to and I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as a Federal Trade Commission in regards to the issue that we have endured dealing with this company.. they're completely overpriced without trying to resolve an issue!

Please don't go there!! fast before you go there!!

Liars to overcharge

Brought Jeep in for replacement of a compressor under warranty. I had been told that the compressor is bad and has caused other damge to other components such as the expansion valve.

The tech Ryan tells me yes the compressor metal shavings have likely damaged the expansion valve etc but Chyrsler will not cover the damage. I complain to Chysler they report that they would and then Ryan changes his story, very weird why is the expansion valve the issue now?

So you can claim compressor warranty and charge 1400 for expansion valve and other components? Very disappointed with the Service Department and the dealership I will be lodging complaint with the owners as well!

GARY MATTHEWS PARTS AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT ARE CROOKS!!!!!!!Tried to sell me a $4,500 transmission when there was nothing wrong with my old.

Long story short, took my Avenger in to Gary Matthews get the transmission looked at as it was shuddering when switching gears. They found "metal" in my transmission pan and said that the transmission needed to be tore down to find the cause of "failure".

Found out that i would need to pay $4500 for a refurb transmission. I couldn't afford that as I just bought the car. I had the car towed to another repair shop and the "machanics" just threw my transmission in pieces in my back seat with no kind of cover on my seats!

THEN, I take it to the new shop and he says there is absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission and that the problem could have been fixed with the software!! GARY MATTHEWS PARTS AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT ARE CROOKS!!!!!

Jeeps from Gary Mathews are financial death traps!!!!!

I bought a used Jeep wrangler from Gary Mathews on the river have had a financial nightmare ever since. I am in the military and they suckered me in real good.

I was told that the jeep was in great shape. ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME??? The clutch has gone out on it after having it for less than a year and also the steering is way jacked up. brakes arent a really big problem.

those just wear out. But what torques My jaw the most is that when i went in to get it checked out i was approached by one the salesmen there and was already trying to sell me a newer model jeep. i aint been in the building more than ten minutes.

Soldiers and Civilians be warned. Gary Mathews is not a good place for business.

Ford F150 Review

Traded a dodge ram for a ford f150. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS.

Back door locks had to be replaced, ac doesnt work correctly, needs new shocks and check enginelight is on. All this withinone week of owning truck. They did a very good job of covering up issues. They spray painted the shocks to make them llok new, they replaced back door lock so now they work, recharged the ac but did not fix the leak on the ac valve and the check engine light is to be determined.

Service department is slow and rude as ***.

My husband is stationed at ft camlbell and we are seriously considering consulting jag. IF YOU ARE A SOLDIER OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM GARY MATHEWS AS POSSIBLE.

DO NOT BUY FROM GARY MATHEWS CLARKSVILLE TENNESSEE

I bought a Jeep from Gary Mathews back in May 2013 this is now August 2013 the Jeep has been in the shop ever since I had it. Well 2 weeks after I got it.

They customer service there is terrible. Pete the manager came out and said, "oh well not our problem and we're not doing nothing guess it's your problem now" I have contacted the BBB and they are trying to help me on this but so far nothing.

So far the bill in getting this Jeep fixed is up to $1,900.00 and building. This is our 4th car we have bought from this dealership never had a problem before until now, but we are telling everyone we know to go else wheres.

Lousy used car service, buy somewhere else

Bought a used truck from Gary mattews on Saturday. They agreed to replace the tires, give the truck an alignment and fill the gas tank - all good so far, that was Saturday.

Tuesday the wife called to see if the truck was ready, they said it was being aligned and would be ready that evening, if not they would call and let us know. We live an hour and a half from the dealer, so after getting home from work at 17:00hrs (5:00pm) we loaded up our 15 month old and headed to Gary Mathews in Clarksville, TN when we arrived our truck was not at the dealership. We found our salesman who didn't seem to care about us driving an hour and a half to pick up a vehicle that wasn't ready. He did finally offer to meet us half way the next day with the vehicle.

Last night we met half way and picked up our truck. The first thing we noticed was that the Firestone tire he promised were some cheap off brand and not Firestone, next we notice that the full tank of gas was actually nearly empty, we had to fill up to get home, then we noticed the battery in the key was dead, they had said they would replace it, they didn't. After we got home we noticed that the GPS that was in the truck when we test drove it had been removed. We are not happy at all with Gary Mathews and will recomend that you take your business elsewhere.

Last time we bought a truck, the dealer took care of everything they said they would, even things not in writing. Gary Mathews will never again get any of our business.

Gouging there auto parts

I have a 2005 crossfire and my ignition switch locked up. I took it

too GARY MATTHEWS on Ashland city rd in clarsville tn. They where

gonna charge me 1,700.00 to fix my car. Also requesting I pay for

the parts first .in advance. I needed 2 parts one they said it cost

810.00 and the other part cost 325.00. I called 4 Chrysler dealers and

all 4 said 1 part was 482.00 and the other part was 250.00. I told them

about the price difference so they tried to lower there price a little less

Than what they told me before. Not what the other dealers where charging

I told them I don't know why the price is so different . So they see I wasn't

going for that, so they changed there price to what everyone else had.

That was a $600 difference. I didn't let them fix my car. They are a bunch of

CROOKS ! Advice to anyone if your getting your car fixed by a major car

dealer. Call around too at least 3 dealers to compare prices.

Gary Matthews Motors

While checking places in Clarksville to get my wife's 2008 JEEP Commander repaired, I found Gary Matthews & figured the service department for a dealer would be more reputable than a local garage.

They wanted to charge us over $100 just to do a diagnostic and NOT apply that money to the repair cost.

I did some more calling around and found that Sisk Auto Mall (another local JEEP dealer) in Hopkinsville charges less than the Gary Matthews service department AND applied the diagnostic to the repair cost.

Anyone care to guess which service center will be getting my business?

You my friend were dupped. I worked at Sisk and assure you that you paid diagnostics.

They just word it to where you think it's part of the repair. If any repair shop tells you they don't charge for diagnostics, they are lying or getting ready to *** over.

There are transmission shops who advertise free diagnostics, but at that point your trans. is on the bench in 500 pieces leaving you little choice.

I completely disagree with Supratech. While the diagnostic is important to any shop to make sure that they don't tell you what is wrong and then not get the business to fix it.

Gary Mathews service department is infamous in Clarksville for screwing people over.

They will diagnose the problem as one thing and will not actually fix what the issue is. I will never take my auto to them.

Worst service ever!!! Ripped off!!!

Gary Matthews had my car for 4 months ran $900 over quote and then I call to tell them I'm coming to pick up my car 4 days in advance and arrive to find the car not even completely put together yet. They never even bothered to look at it before they told me it was good to go.

The parts were in the trunk. So I take the car home mad and get home to find that they did'nt even have all the parts in the trunk. They are an hour and a half from me so now I have to make another 3 hour round trip to get the parts so I can put it back together after paying them so much money.

Not only was I overcharged to fix this car but I'm now having to do the work myself. They made no attempt to remedy this situation other than saying, "we'll see if we can schedule it in to get it looked at." Yeah, cause I haven't allready waited long enough!!!!!

RIPPED OFF!!

Items were stolen from my car at the dealer's shop while it was there for repairs.

When my husband talked to the service mgr. about it I felt like he insinuated my husband was lying.

We had a Tom-Tom GPS on the car dashboard when we took it to the shop...then when we picked the car up three days later , when repairs were completed ....There was no Tom-Tom to be found.

There also were 8 to 10 of my husband's cigars taken from the driver's door storage pouch that he missed first...that's when he started to look more closely; at which point he noticed the GPS was missing, also.

We have made two or three requests to this dealer for a replacement..all to no avail!!!!

HELP!!!! What is our next step??? Should we contact the auto parent company??

Unhelpful Service Center

Today I went to Gary Matthews on the 41A Bypass in Clarksville to see if they could help with a simple problem. I own a 2005 Jeep Wrangler and was installing a hood rack for my jack. While removing the hood hinge screws I stripped the head of the 6th and final screw and was unable to get it out. Being a Jeep I brought to Gary Matthews Service Dept. to see if they could assist me. The first man I saw was "helpful" in that he was actually attentive to my problem. A female service manager came out to see the problem, and within 1 second had identified that there was nothing they could do, walked away and offered no further assistance, ideas or even a hello/goodbye. So the "helpful guy and I stood there staring at each other. Finally I asked "well, is there anything else we can do?" He took me to one of the other service managers who, after taking care of more pressing issues, came to see my Jeep. After about 30 seconds he stated that at this time (it was about 4 pm on Friday) they were unable to help me, but that they would be more than willing to set up an appointment for me on Monday. Me, being the smart guy that I am, realized that there is no way this can be more than a 10 minute fix so I told them thanks for nothing, I will go elsewhere.

I ended up going to the Sears auto center in Clarksville. They, after about 10 minutes had the screw out and had me on my way....FREE OF CHARGE!! I ahve no doubt that had I brought it Gary Mattews to fix on Monday they would have taken over an hour and would have charged a hefty service fee. This was not the first time that I have brought my Jeep to G.M. for service, but I assure you it will be the last time! I have never left their service center happy and recommend anyone that is new to Clarksville to STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS! They are never helpful but always willing to take your $$.

my wife took her jeep liberty to gary mathews for a wondow cable replacement since ours broke and we had to tape the window up to keep it from falling down and breaking. after many hours later, she received a call that the repair was completed and still warrantied and was ready for her to come get.

once there she was approached by a woman from the service area telling her the brakes need replaced and the transmission was leaking and wanted to repair it. long story short, i have a concrete drive and no leaking transmission oil is in a puddle and the brakes were replaced by me 3 weeks before it went to get a window cable replaced that took 6 hours. they rummaged through the jeep while it was there and knowing they lied to my wife to try to get more money from her, kiss my ***. another window cable broke a couple weeks later, i went to hopkinsville at sisk auto, bought the cable and replaced it myself in about 15 minutes.

don't do ANY business with this fool! that's my soapbox rant.

I think you're all just a bunch of ***.

My problems came from Gary Mathews Nissan on Hwy 76. Long story short, my 05 pathfinder would noy start.

They replaced a good battery, spark plugs, and charged mw 4.5 hrs labor so they could call me up to tell me they got the truck to start but it won't run.(I'm thinking it's not started then) Then they replaced the IPDM board and got the truck started where it died a few miles later. Finally they wanted to replace the transmission and the radiator. So we had it towed to Nashville Nissan where they cleaned a bug off the air flow sensor. I know this may sound as no big deal but for $1000 all we got were countless lies trying to get us to understand why they did what they did.

Like when I told them the battery was good we had it tested. Their reply was "We tested it on a regular tester also where it tested good but on the Nissan tester it would not hold a charge."

Kinda seems like Gary Mathews = Bad Service. Makes you wonder if Mr.

Mathews knows his lots are like that and just don't care. Oh well I post bad comments on craigslist trying to get a response because I can not get Tom Harris (service manager)to answere the phone or call me back, but all the feedback I am getting is others that have been screwed with the exception of one older guy that follows my posts and flags them on a pretty regular basis.(sometimes twice a day)

I recently took my 2006 Jeep Cherokee for a transmision leak. When I went to pick it up the check engine light was on and trans was not shifting at all hadn't even drove off the lot and they wanted to charge me to scan it.

Guest

I recently had my Jeep in there for a "check engine light" issue (which turned out to be a poorly sealing gas cap and, as they tell it, a problem with a fuel line). While the Jeep was in the shop, they "uncovered" several other problems including a battery leaking acid and front brakes/rotors that needed replacing.

All told, I spent about $850 there.

Less than 1 week later, my Jeep redlined and overheated. I would have thought that while ferreting out these other problems they would have uncovered this (my Jeep has NEVER overheated and I always maintain coolant levels) so I thought it was kinda funny. I called them and, of course, they offered to run yet another diagnostic (for an additional $80).

I don't think I'll be going back there again. Good customer service would have been for them to check it out and tell me what was wrong FOR FREE since they just had the vehicle in there.

I'd been warned in the past to steer clear...guess I'll look for a new mechanic now.

Guest

I have heard this before about Gary Matthews. I work at a place that is located near them.

I have heard nothing but bad things regarding these guys. They have a bad reputation with the people who have had dealings with them.
