Comm Toww scam towing at Garden Walk

My wifes car was also towed from that spot. My daughter was visiting a friend there. Parked in a designated "guest" spot. Was towed with no sign out front (verified by the police). This is in violation of statute 715.07. Now we are trying to get our $216.00 back that it cost us to get it out of the tow yard. I have a feeling we will be filing a small claims lawsuit in order to get a refund. I would stay away from this place!...Tried to contact the apartment / condo complex...no answer...what a surprise!

Tow scam

1/14/2013 First to ReviewGarden Walk Development on 26th st west bradentonWatch out for this place, they have tow away signs that if you aren't paying attention to or looking out for, will get you towed. I spoke to the leasing office and they said the towing company has the right to tow your car at all times of the day. I dropped a friend off at his uncles house last night at 10:30 and was invited in for a quick game of nba2k13 and the game was over before 11:30 and after the game i went outside to leave only to find my car stolen. I wasn't parked in any tow away zones or anything. There was countless empty parking spaces. Its almost like they watched me arrive and as soon as i wasn't around came and towed it away. Keep in mind i have a very young child and a lot of her items were in the car along with my cell phone and other things. I called the police and they said it was towed away. When you arrive to the gardenwalk apts there is a tow sign at the front entrance and if you aren't aware of it, or just droppping someone off and not paying any mind you'll miss it as its close to high bushes. If you're in a car you'd have to look down as you enter and you'll see it. There are no lights around the sign so if you enter the area at night you'll more than likely not see it. There is also a second sign at the first stop sign. At the sign you can see tow away, but everything else is in small text and there is no light for you to read it. The tow company wouldn't allow me to get any items out of my car without paying even more money then they are already ripping me off for. The apartment complex is less than 3 miles from the tow away place, and they changed me $191 for being parked in a spot next to 6 other cars and no tow away sign in sight at all. Its a big scam. The only way you'll know that you can get towed is if the people you visit let you know. WTF kind of rule is that. So because my friends uncle forgot to mention or give me any parking pass i'm stuck paying money that i need to pay real bills with. Its a scam, i won't ever go back there for risk of being towed the second you enter the apartments. Not a friendly place for people who don't live there. This means you can go there to look at apartments and while you're being showed around the tow *** boys can come tow your car. I'd look to live somewhere else before this place. The apartment complex put all the blame on the people who live there. No warning at all. My car has never been in that apartment complex and at first sight of no parking pass i'm towed. Im telling you i was there less than a hour and towed away from a spot with 0 no parking or tow away signs. SCAM
