  • - 13+ year old dog had eye exam for cataracts.
  • - Three students checked eyes without permission.
  • - The specialist did tear and pressure tests; billed $329.

I took my 13+ year dog for an eye exam because I thought she might have had cataracts. Three students checked her eyes without asking my permission.

20 minutes later the eye specialist came in and examined her eyes and did a tear and pressure test. I received a bill for $329.00 dollars.

User's recommendation: Don't use Garden State Veterinary. They are a ripoff.

Disappointing

AI Highlights
  • - 12-year-old indoor cat with a dislocated hip; arthritis noted.
  • - Phone said relocation was possible, but on visit surgery was required; price $900.

I had to take my twelve year old, indoor cat to them because of an injury.

She's old and damaged her hip, the arthritis did nothing to help her either but that IS NOT MY FAULT. I cannot PREVENT ARTHRITIS.

It just so happened to be dislocated. I was told to go see these people. I asked over the phone if they can relocate the hip, i was told yes. When I get there with my in pain cat, distressed as she was, I am told they cannot relocate the hip and that I would HAVE to have her undergo closed reduction surgery to the hip/femur.

I was told it would cost about $900.00 and that was just for the surgery, my own vet did x-rays in order to determine whether or not it was broken.

Lo and behold, I now am arguing with CareCredit, (thanks for ruining my line guys) because I was charged over 2,000.00 and so was my sister for the SAME cat and SAME PROCEDURE!

Amazing how $900 shot up to 4k. Glad you got paid while we were lied to and in case you were wondering, she's doing fine.

Cons:
  • Pricing was not transparent
