Denial of Medicine
They constantly refer to the state rather than paying. Drives me and my physician crazy. They wont approve anything.

Shambles unprofessional avoid
Took on case to complex for theme so passed it to another solicitor just as bad been going on know for two years solicitors to frightens to go against company for fear of loosing contract Spineless .
The silent solicitor
I was passed to this firm through the council following a claim i made directly to them for a pole hole that they were aware about that had damaged my car. I was not informed the claim would be passed to this firm.
I received a letter 3 months after the incident informing me that they will now be dealing with the claim and that they had a back log and would be in touch.
We are now 6 months down the line and i have called/emailed and i have not heard a thing.
I can see why people have given up on making claims for this sort of thing, but reality is - the roads are so bad in my area you're constantly dodging pot holes and the damage to my car was very expensive and caused me real inconvenience. I should have my money back.
Preferred solution: response to my claim
Shockingly bad.
This company do not call you or update you and instead leave you to constantly chase them up by calling their premium rate number. This makes them and cost me a fortune..
Tamworth office - can't communicate with people
Most uncommunicative company I have ever known. Not only do they do half a job, but when you try and find out why or appeal - all goes silent on the Gallagher Bassett front.
And the claims adjuster Emma Poole - not even sure she exists she's like a ghost. Sends you an email from the depths of this company and then is never heard from again - especially when you want an answer off her. Wouldn't even give them one star but unfortunately have to in order to review them!!! Steer Clear, unless you like ignorant people, then they're the company for you!
They had a claim given to them from my son, and couldn't be bothered to contact the independent witnesses, just decided to go with what the council said.
Now, I thought an independent witness had nothing to gain from either party, so therefore, would be questioned but obviously not.
The people who live at the crash site, obviously wouldn't know what has been going on! Then when you ask about a complaints procedure or an appeal process, those at Gallagher Bassett just can't be bothered to answer you.
In my opinion very biased towards fife council
My wife my daughter and myself recently moved into a fife council house after a period of being homeless,when we moved to the new address the carpet fitters were coming the same day we moved in.we had left a whole lot of belongings in the safety and security of our back garden ( we thought).unknown to us fife council had arranged a garden clearance,so the contractor came and cleared the garden including our belongings.on contacting fife council the housing officer sad she forgot to cancel/tell us contractors were coming.Tried to claim the loss against this company but the claim was refused on the grounds that the council didn't ask us to leave our stuff outside and we didn't inform fife council that we had stuff outside.I didn't feel we had to inform them as it was our things in our garden which couldn't be seen from the road.Had we known about the garden clearance obviously we would have been prepared .So Gallagher Basset you ought to be ashamed of yourselves

I am in the UK and have a claim which will be taken to court when I have the finance to carry that out. It's now two years since my boat came off the car due to a large dangerous collection of potholes on an A road under the highways dept of Wrexham - Wales.
It took 6 months to obtain that damning report from the council that stated --- Dangerous delamination of the highway surface that has happened since temporary repair was done. Three months earlier was that report from the accident happening and the repair was not done after that date but Gallagher Bassett employee said that the council was not liable due to them complying with the national criteria. She lied in the letter she wrote to me.
Apparently Gallagher Bassett UK will not pay out at all unless the matter is taken to court ---- in this case it will be taken to the small claims court. Gallagher Bassett are full of *** and are liars.
Appalling Customer Service !!!!
A mains water pipe burst which flooded my back garden and extension area were i was storing numerous boxes from a recent house move,Severn Trent Water admitted complete liability,this should of been a simple claim for the items which had been deemed unfit for use by the clear up team and myself,i had numerous baby items damaged by the flood and was assured by the clear up team and head of operations for Severn Trent the matter would be dealt with quickly and i would be compansated fairly,7 weeks later,and after 2 rude and difficult phone calls to Gallagher Bassett i have recieved an e mail saying they have lost my docuements which i sent to them by recorded post,i phoned a Miss Shelley Mabbott the lady dealing with my case,and i have never had such a in human person speak to me before!She is rude,unhelpful and difficult,i felt like a criminal for simply asking for the compansation im entitled too!She even said ' Why should i do what you want ' and went on to say she thought my baby should use the water damaged items that had been stood in stagnant water for 2 days and nights,disgusting attitude and appaling custumer service,i am beginning to feel quite ill with all the stress,i was shocked to read the other reviews on here and feel its going to be a very long road ahead.

Kent police lost a tray of our Gold in 2013.
Gallagher bassett are the claims Handlers I found out today they are not registered with the ministry of Justice.
They had not returned call emails, we have now had to sell our home in order to keep one shop if any one would like to email me its patrickpurcell6@***.com.
I will tell you what I was told to do next.
In this country you have to have a govening body someone that you can go to if something goes wrong. Like the ombudsman I went to the legal omsudsman who told me they were not registered I said could they look again they are a big company, they must be registered I then went on the goverment site and filled the form in again they were not registered
Refused claim
They took three months to review a claim ignored and after loads of emails and phone calls with the relevant information and then rejected it in an appalling letter they are unprofessional and incompetent and they lied
Even though the police admitted they had done wrong they refused a claim saying they had not broken the law so it was OK
They are paid by the police just to reject claims a total waste of money and ***
The MD said he would review the claim then just reconfirmed the decision 24 hours later

So this is not fully about G&B but from reading some of the posts I can see they're not very reliable. My grievance is with Fife Council but they have passed my claim onto G&B and i wanted to research their credibility.
I am taking on he claim myself so to avoid lawyer fees, but from looks of it im going to have my work cut out for me with these guys. In their response to my claim I had to fill out a form allowing them access to medical notes which I already sent. Anyways I worked out roughly posting days etc and I believe they've refused my claim before I even licked the envelope on my agreement to access medical notes.
So basically what I would like to know how to take these f*****s on!! Not surprised council has incompetent *** like this working with them!.....
Took option for Room Cancellation insurance
Guess what, Claims Advisor not interested, due to the fact my reasons were not valid enough I.e. No death in the family, no funeral to go to, no serious illness etc.
My hotel booking at Travelodge in Harlow was for a Wedding, sadly I'am not able to attend so used my cancellation option, but to no avail, my reasons are not acceptable so no cigar, Claims Advisor Rani Kaur just wasn't convincing enough she made this judgement uni-laterally, I find this incredible what was the point of taking the option of insurance to protect myself under any circumstances and all for £76.70 for 2 rooms. What a *** Gallagher Bassett....yeeeesh

I have had a similare nightmare with them and the adjusters are Anne Chow and Joleen Banta. This company does not work in the injuried parties best interest, they do NOT care about your pain or to even bother with you.
The customer they care about is the employer and the mission of the injured should be to bother the CEO of the company and G&B every day...... The other thing is if enough people are willing is to bring this to the attention of the media.
The more people whom start complaining for change the better it is.
