Junk product ripoff company beware

Brand new out of the bundle some while roof job not even completed balding shingles new defective gaf does not admit to issue .let me make this short I met someone from gaf who confirmed what i quesed what was going on the equipment breaks down often therefore temperature not correct but they keep on making them that's why about my roof has 15% defect but also loosing granules after 4years looks 20 plus years old and mold/discoloration already just junk.

Needed a roof

I dont know anything about the shingles. The roof was just installed a week and a half ago. I cant rate it I dont know the pros and cons or the wear and tear of the roof now The roofer did an excellent job, and the color and design of the shingles enhance the appearance of our house

Weve lost singles six times on two months. Ive called GAF and written via email but they have not responded. Terrible follow up and customer service.

In 2008 I contracted with a company to put a new roof on my home. They recommended a Timberline Ultra Lifetime Shingle. I recently had a chimney inspection and when the worker came down from the roof he said the roof is degrading. I had a Home Inspection Service look at the roof they took pictures and agreed that the roof shingles are degrading and new shingles are needed. The gutters are full of grit or pieces of the shingles.

Failure to issue refund, difficulty getting back on website

I have no problem with the materials. But I used GAF Services to get a GPS estimate of the roof dimensions and materials list to re-roof my home. They charged $28 up front to give me a detailed report but reported back quickly that they couldn't do it and would issue a refund. Ten days later, no refund. I called the two GAF phone numbers listed on the transaction in my credit card account, and both were not in service. I tried to get on the online account I set up with GAF to ask where my credit was, and it said my account was temporarily disabled. So, I called my bank and submitted a complaint, disputing the charge.

Bought a stain blocker to coat roof. It bled through. Filed a warranty claim. No response for two weeks and when I got response upon my inquiry some jerk sends me letter via email telling me there is nothing wrong with their product. How convenient. It does not do what it should and I get screwed because company is not taking responsibility to do what's right when the product does not by.

GAF Timberline Shingles are falling off our roof after only 11 years and are guaranteed for 25 years! They are supposed to be a "high quality" shingle and they are ***!

We contacted GAF because our shingles started falling off. They have a 25 year warranty and have only been on the house 11 years. We contacted GAF in June, it is now December and they have finally told us they will not stand behind their product, we "over nailed" the shingle. The shingle never adhered to the roof!!! And if they were "over nailed" then how could they be falling off! We sent them 2 shingles and filled out 15 pages of documentation and pictures that they required. They kept telling us it would take 30 days. It is now 5 months later and I again had to call them to find out what was happening. Not only do they not stand behind their product, they will not contact you to tell you that! GAF has been the biggest mistake we made when we built the house! We should NEVER have used GAF shingles. They are a joke and the company that stands behind them should be ashamed of themselves.

I had similar experience. I hired one of their "Master Elite Contractors" to install new roof.

After 18 months roof is leaking everywhere! The ELITE contractor will not stand behind his warranty and GAF won't either.I filed a complaint, like you, I did hear back but they said it wasn't their product. No reasoning why its leaking or why it wasn't their product. Not even a suggestion how to repair it.

$18,0000 later I still have a leaking roof! For the largest roofing company in the world I can't believe how they treat their customers!
