My name is Tim Turner. Several years ago, I had posted a very negative complaint about further options and Scott Darnell. it was posted in the heat of the moment. since I posted that complain, I could not have been more wrong about further options or Scott Darnell. He has addressed all my complaints and been incredibly helpful. He has bent over backwardsto address each and every concern. in fact, I consider Scott A dear friend.

Further Options, Inc.
Further Options is an extremely expensive conversion that does not work. Further Options concepts do not work in reality. They have zero customer service and integrity. Google "further options ripoff" for my experience with this company. I've had my conversion for 8 months. It has been a catastrophe since day 1. Mr. Darnell has taken my practically new pickup, and installed his "conversion". This has left me with a $45,000 piece of *** that is, essentially, worthless. Further Options is not a business. It is a hobby for the owner. He uses his sales to support his hobby and, once paid, he could care less about his customers' issues.

Further Options, Inc. is an extremely expensive ripoff
Being wheelchair-bound from MS, I was searching for something other than a wheelchair-accessible van to drive. Through my research, I found several companies that could modify pickup trucks so that a wheelchair-bound individual, like myself, could drive the truck from my wheelchair. One of the companies and the one I, unfortunately, chose was Scott Darnell and Further Options, Inc. Since I live on a fixed disability income, friends and family rallied to make the truck and conversion possible. The conversion of my truck has been a catastrophe since day one. Conceptually, Scott and his Further Options are, seemingly, on the cutting edge of transportation solutions for the disabled. In actuality, his designs DO NOT WORK ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS. The system has given me me nothing but headache after headache in the form of the lift system, endless leaks in the air system, and a continuous drain on the electrical system with the battery going dead overnight. In addition, since the day Scott was paid, he has refused to do ANYTHING to rectify my situation. I have had to hire my own mechanic to address issue after issue for the, approximately, 7 months that I'v had the conversion, with no end in sight. This is another expense that I cannot afford. When asked about reimbursing my mechanic's expenses, since Further Options does not have the infrastructure (or care) to service their product, Scott says "he can't afford it". However, one look at your website shows that you have plenty of money to develop new concepts, invest in demos of those concepts, and attend trade shows. All the while, I am stuck with a vehiclhat I can depend on about 40% .of the time and often leaves me stranded. I hope that my experience will give cautlon to anyone evaluating various-accc

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to explain. You have taken my beautiful, black, practically new GMC pickup and,, through adding your conversion.,have turned iinto a worthless, unusable, pile of ***. Case in point was last night. Been in physical rehab over 3 months. Was so looking forward to a break to go see my 14 year-old daughter's dance recital, my first outing in 3 months.
Unfortunately, The person they usually assist me in using your conversion
Unfortunately, my friend who usually assists me when using your conversion ( Assistance is always needed) had to cancel at the last minute. Extremely long and extremely frustrating story short, I missed the recital bc of your conversion.
Scott, Further Options is your hobby. It is not a business. A business would find a way to fix my problems
Please don't sucker anyone else into your hobby.
My name is Scott Darnell. I am responding to this posting to address the concerns raised by Tim Turner. I can be reached by email or phone to address any further concerns - for my contact information, please visit www.further-options.com.
To say the least, this web posting comes as a grave disappointment to me. I have a great deal of empathy for Mr. Turner and his plight -- and since suffering my own spinal injury more than 20 years ago, I have dedicated my life to helping people like myself and Mr. Turner get back on the road in style.
To be perfectly honest, this dedication has come at a very high price to me personally. Equipping vehicles for drivers "like us" is both science and art. Each customer is unique…each set of circumstances requires a different dance in order to get approvals and to dial-in a solution that will work.
We are very proud to have earned Mr. Turner's initial trust and hope to regain it through our sustained commitment. We truly cherish his dreams as much as anyone, and seeing them become reality has kept me awake for countless nights over the past year! Worth noting is the fact that our work for any customer is facilitated through various governmental agencies, and in this case, that means the Mississippi Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and the respective regional driving evaluators for Mr. Turner himself. Across the board, those representing these facilitators have commended us for our work for Mr. Turner and given us the highest marks for service in what has been a very challenging set of circumstances.
There are more particulars that could be shared, but in our defense, I must point out that we are priced competitively with other mobility options, that we have attended no trade shows for more than two years, and that no individual involved with Further OPTIONS has ever drawn a salary. In fact, there has been no monetary compensation for the thousands of hours of time my partner and I have invested in order to underwrite the dreams of Mr. Turner and the other customers we have done our best to serve. Nonetheless, I remain committed to supporting Mr. Turner to the best of my abilities and resources - and have never left him without a clear path as to how to contact me.
Sincerely -- Scott Darnell
