Failure to deliver as promised

First told it would be 2-3 wks. After 3 wks I'm told it would be another month.

I fussed and was told it would be the 5th instead of the 21st. Then get a call saying it would be the 12th. That's 6 wks Ive waited when told it would be 2-3.

I will NEVER buy from this company again. I've had two friends buy sofas elsewhere and they had them in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS.WEEKS.

Fabulous

The staff at Furniture World on Marilyn Pkwy went out of there way to help us. Jacky was so diligent and persistent in helping me find the lowest credit payments, and i dont have any credit.

They were knowledgabe and not pushy. They gave us the time we needed to look around and decide on what was best for us. And then they made arrangements for us to be able to pick it up on a day they are normally closed.

I will definitely be back, and I have recommended them to all my friends. I give them

Furniture World (NE) Consett

I recently bought an item of furniture from these people,and after spending a good few hundred pounds i am not a happy bunny.The wood was warped, supplied with missing parts,and wrong fittings and at a later date i found evidence of live woodworm which i took digital pictures of to prove it........and all they did was make excuses,deny that there was anything wrong with the purchased item and just tried to get out of their legal obligations under trading standards laws.In a nutshell this company are not worth bothering with they are quick to take your money then their customer service is rubbish.....AVOID THEM AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE !

RIPPED OFF

MY WIFE AND I PURCHASED A BED THROUGH THIS RETAILER. WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE KING SIZED "AKITA" PLATFORM BED IS MAKE IN USA.

HAD TO ORDER THE BED, IT CAME 5 DAYS LATER THAN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO, CAME IN A TRASHED BOX FROM VIETNAM.I CALLEDTHE SALESLADY UP AND ASKED HER WHY SHE TOLD ME IT WAS MADE IN AMERICA, WHEN CLEARLY MARKED ON THE BOX IT IS MADE IN VIETNAM.

IM VERY DISTRAUGHT NOW, I FEEL LIKE BURNING THE WHOLE BED. POOR QUALITY, POOR SALEMANSHIP, ETC.........

SHY AWAY FROM FURNITURE WORLD OF VERMONT.I ASKED TO RETURN THIS BED AND THEY TOLD ME NO, CANT DO......IT WAS SPECIAL ORDER.

JUNK BED QUALITY AS WELL.

The husband and wife team of owners have no concept of customer service and will say ANYTHING to get the sale...then blame any issues on the customers! People need to boycott this place and let them learn the true power of the consumer!!

Report them to Angie's List, the State's Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau! People like this need to get a hobby other than retail!

Vermont-"Furniture World"

I went to Furniture World in Vermont to purchase a mattress for my king size bed. I was looking at Sealy.

I have to admit that I went shopping without doing enough research on mattresses. The owner of Furniture World suggested I purchase this Symbol brand pillow top mattress. She said she had NEVER had any of them return compared to the Sealy's. I bought right into her story.

She told me it was a local company that did not advertise much but had a wonderful product(another lie)... I received the mattress. After only a few nights I noticed it already had started to sink where I was sleeping. My back was aching.

In disbelief, I took the sheets down to check the sinking. The stitching was coming apart all the way around the mattress top. It was total junk. I went back to the store and wanted to give her back the mattress and purchase somewhere else.

I was very upset that she sold me a real piece of junk. She had lost my trust. Because it was a quality issue, I felt that I should have been able to return the mattress for refund. She would not let me do that.

So, I decided to swap it for a Sealy instead. She charged me almost 50.00 delivery for the second mattress!! What a joke! I am disputing the charge and she literally LIED to the credit card company.

She said there was no stitching problems, etc etc. Little did she know that I took photos of the stitching problems! I would NOT do business with this company. Her own salesman told me that he couldn't believe she sold me a Symbol mattress with a bad back!

Do not do business with this company.

They are not nice people at all.
