1-17-25 problems at Frontier in Central
We have always enjoyed going to the Frontier on Central. After shows at Pooejoy and for a special treat on other days.
We wanted to go in today (1-17-25) to have a meal.
Everything went well until a street person sat opposite us and began to drink a coffee that was on the table. After about 5 minutes, another man, who had been sitting there previously, returned to the table. He was outraged and told this other man sitting there that this was his table and he was not finished using it. The person who looked like a vagrant got up and lunged at the guy who was trying to get his table back.
I thought sure they were going to start a physical fight and land on our table.
I tried to scoot out of the way and my husband was ready to take on the vagrant if he came at us. The guy trying to get his table back went to the people behind the counter for help, explaining what had happened. Finally, someone came to this person who had taken over the table and asked for his sales slip. That's when this crazy guy got up and really was freaking out.
He grabbed the tray on the table and went up to the counter people and yelled at them. Then he finally decided to throw the tray on the floor and left. Then about 5 minutes later he came back looking for a bag that he had left under the table. It was not there and he continued to yell and left again.
About 10 minutes later another vagrant type person came up to us and wanted us to buy him something to eat - we declined. He was going around to others in the restaurant asking for a handout. This should not be happening to the patrons of this restaurant.
I am very disappointed in what happened today. We have never seen this before.
We have been hearing stories about people being attacked for their purses, etc, right outside the Frontier. We are an older couple and we felt very threatened by this.
You should have security guards posted at this restaurant. The staff there should not be liable for confronting this type of person. They are not trained for this .
I don't think we will be coming back to the Frontier any time soon.
We did not feel safe there any longer.

They loud scraped the white glass plates and I don’t like it and I can’t stand eating inside anymore because of it
