Discontent with Fresensius dialysis
I began Fresensius dialysis 4 treatments ago and it has been a very poor experience. Even dangerous when I had hypothermia for 30 minutes during disconnection as my worker simply threw my blanket at me indifferently and then presented a do not resuscitate order I did not want to sign at that agonizing time.
Main pain problem is coldness. Not a thermostat problem and ordinary blankets make little difference. Body chills when blood out of the body during disconnect and maybe anemia. But hypothermia a dangerous result of Fresensius being too cheap to have heated blankets.
Or staff to be able to increase temperature 1/2 a centigrade. No interest at all.
This place relates to machines and numbers, not patients. We can barely talk to staff, who can't be reached by buzzers. It would be so nice to have a cup of coffee available at treatment end.
But nice is not Fresensius is not. Do not trust the staff at all. They spent 1,/2 their time unloading and storing the contents of cardboard boxes and folding down the emptied cardboard boxes, which is hardly consistent with skilled staff if there are any.
This place is a multinational corporation making a fortune in virtual monopoly with no interest in patients at all. Or in dedicated workers
