They want me to tow it back up there 100 mi and let the same incompetent person work on it. I'm not willing to do that so for anybody out there wanting to use freedom RV stay away stay very far away look it up on YouTube you can do most of the stuff yourself.

Original review Nov 28, 2023

Took my pop up in for warranty work to find out that they've caused more problems and more headaches than what it was worth they changed the lift motor to pick the top up it is so loud now and it doesn't even hold the top up the top drops down when you close it it doesn't even close all the way it stops 2 in before it closes which will allow bugs water dirt and everything else inside if I were you I would avoid freedom RV not only with this I had them not do anything with the microwave and two screws are missing out of my microwave and it's pushed in where I had them look for a water leak they couldn't even put the screws back in the panel so they left it out the panels hanging open the seal on the top lid that was supposedly fixed I get it back and it still hanging in the same exact spot where it was when I took it in I get a call from customer service and I get every excuse under the Sun as to why they could not or did not do their job and that was the way that it's supposed to be every pop up in the world is like that I got news for you you're full of *** I talked to the factory it's noisy and it drops and doesn't close all the way because you don't have it adjusted correctly and when I called and talked to customer service let's just say he's an *** My recommendation is take it back to lazy Days in Loveland Colorado. You can go ahead and close free tomorrow v in Tucson read your reviews I'm not the only one complaining about this how you have four stars is Way beyond anybody's belief

Terrible service writer

AI Highlights
  • - They lied about the work done.
  • - Only oil change and two shocks were done; fridge, generator, battery caps, and air filter issues remain.

Basically lied about the work that supposedly was done. They had RV for a week and only changed engine oil and replaced 2 shocks.

Vehicle still drives the same & was told that it just needed 2shocks. Refrigerator doesnt work, generator wasnt touched and battery caps were loose along with air filter canister fell off because it wasnt installed properly.

Who knows if any of the plumbing works because she never said . Im supposed to be leaving tomorrow and I really dont feel comfortable driving it because I dont know what they really accomplished in a week other than oil change & 2 shocks!!!

Im pissed!!!

User's recommendation: Steer clear of this place!

Horrible service

AI Highlights
  • - Bought a used RV with defects; salesman promised fixes.
  • - Service delays were prolonged and little was repaired, with no status update.

Purchased a used RV in DEC. Had numerous issues and defects when we purchased and was assured by the salesman that the RV would be fixed.

I gave them 30 days. Got a call from them 26 days later asking me to bring the RV back because they failed to get emissions. (should have been my first clue that the service dept was MIS managed). After the confusion was sorted I returned on the 30th day to get the RV because we had a trip planned.

Spoke to the service MGR, and he stated almost all was completed except the refridge door, and it would be back from the 3rd party source that was doing engine checks and replacing tires. I returned 4 days later and looked at the RV and saw that nothing except the 3rd party work had been accomplished...after 34 days.... The service MGR then told me that he had originally said nothing was done. (complete lie and second clue that the facility is not managed correctly) I did an inspection and noticed holes in the side of the RV.

The MGR stated they removed the awnings to be replaced, and they were due in soon. I had a trip planned, so I took the RV to Lake Havasu for 3 days. (had the RV for 14 days doing entertainment work since nothing worked with the video system except audio) I returned the RV on Feb 12th (or 13th) with a list of defects. I returned several times within the next 2 weeks and absolutely nothing had been touched.

It is now Mar 13, and we have contacted the facility only to be told they do not know the status of the repairs, but they will look into our EXTENDED WARRANTY .... WTH. These are purchase defects and even if it was extended warranty why are they looking into it a month later ?

(third clue which convinces me that the service department has no leadership) The staff stated someone would call and yep... No call I have another trip planned, and I have no RV to use.

Cons:
  • Beyond poor service

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

User's recommendation: If you purchase a used RV have it repaired before you purchase it because its a looney bin at the service Department

Helpful Service Team

AI Highlights
  • - LMRV made us feel ignored.
  • - Freedom RV could take us in on Tuesday.
  • - Dusty was helpful and courteous and had previously worked at LMRV.

We bought our RV from LMRV and they act like we don't matter. "Make an appointment 2.5 to 3-weeks out." That's hard to do when you're travelling through with a problem.

Went by Freedom RV in Tucson on Friday afternoon because they were nearby. They could take us in on Tues but too late today. Issue was house system not holding a charge. Service manager tested the batteries.

They weren't charged enough to make it a valid test. But, he was kind enough to stop and check them for us. Dusty, the service advisor was so helpful and courteous. Had all kinds of advice and insight for us to take a look at.

BTW, she used to be at LMRV and gave me more than enough insights not to return there. If I can head back that way, I'll make arrangements for an appointment. Andy, their glass guy, was able to take care of a stone chip in our windshield while we were there.

Nice guy and very informative. THANKS Freedom.

Worst Experience Ever

AI Highlights
  • - Paid $1,773 for title/registration; months of delay.
  • - Inconsistent updates; ADOT had no record.
  • - Paperwork delays; five months.

In January 2016 we purchased an RV from Freedom RV. We paid $ 1,773. for the title, registration and license plate. We contacted Freedom RV in February and the advised that it takes three months. We made plans to go on vacation from May 13 to June 21, with our new RV. We called Freedom RV in April and were advised that they were being processed and we would receive them in 2 weeks. We contacted ADOT the first week in May and they advised they had no record of it. That means the employee at Freedom RV either lied or hadn’t followed up. When we spoke to Freedom RV they advised that the paper work was not filled out correctly and that she had completed them and overnighted them. This means that the paperwork was not completed correctly for four months, yet the employee had advised it was being processed again either a lie or no one was following up.

We spoke with the sales manager, at Freedom RV, two weeks later and he advised they hired a title company on May 11, 2016. He advised we would receive the title, registration and license plate the next day. The sales manager had also advised the BBB that the complaint was settled on day it was made in May, another untruth. We advised the sales manager that we had made plans for a vacation to use the RV and should be compensated for loss of because it cost us more for places to stay and to eat our meals out instead of being able to use our RV. He laughed at us. We made the statement maybe he sold us stolen property, again he laughed. We said this constitutes fraud against the elderly, again he laughed. We suggested we would return the RV to Quartsite where we purchased it for a full refund, he laughed. This is the worst customer service we have ever received.

We contacted ADOT in June and again they advised they had no record. We contacted the title company and they advised that the paper work still was not completed correctly. He also advised they have had other complaints about Freedom RV. Again Freedom RV did not tell the truth or follow-up. This now made it 5 months.

We paid $1,773.00 and ADOT charged $ 982.36, which included the penalty for late filing. That makes a $ 790.64 difference for incompetent service. We feel we should receive the difference back along with compensation for loss of use.

We filed a complaint with the office of the States Attorney in Washington and they advised we have a valid complaint. Freedom RV never replied to their inquiries and advised us that if we wanted to continue that we need to retain an attorney.

Seems they sold the RV without the title in hand which is illegal in AZ.

AI Highlights
  • - The used RV was junk.
  • - The salesman prioritized getting me there.
  • - I must buy or forfeit a $2,800 down payment.
  • - Washington has no cooling-off period.

Went to a rv dealership to look at a used rv. It was junk but a conversation prior to even going there, the salesman mentioned that getting me there was more important.

The rv was junk, started the looking rv show. One thing led to another and we got involved with a pull trailer, caught up in the moment, we decided to purchase the rv. Washington does not have a cooling off period, I am on disabilty, cannot really afford the rv and they have chosen money over customer satisfaction. I have to buy the rv or lose my 2800.00 down payment.

They did not disclose the clause, I am from another state. I am being held hostage for their greed.
