Freedom Forever

Freedom Forever offered to install a solar system for me, with no down payment and 100% financing at 25 years monthly payment. They were very professional and easy-going at this stage, so I signed the contract.

The first important milestone was supposed to be a technical due diligence they performed on my roof to determine if it was suitable for the installation. After they confirmed that the roof was in perfect condition to begin the installation, the contract was binding, and they began the work. Once they started to install the solar panels (only 6 of more than 60 in total they were supposed to install), my house began to experience leaks wherever they had worked. I contacted them and asked to stop the installation until they could repair the damage they had caused, both outside and inside (my ceiling and my walls were damaged and my floors were flooded).

They hired a local company to perform the repairs, but they took a long time to approve the quotes and the scope of the work for this company. Once the company started to repair, Freedom Forever took a long time to pay them, so they took breaks between one repair and another. The company then put a lien on my property because Freedom Forever did not pay the total cost of the repair work they performed on my property. These repairs took more than a year and a half to finish because they were constantly going back and forth with the approval of work scopes and payment delays from Freedom Forever.

Once they finished the repair work, a Freedom Forever representative told me that the best option for us at that point was to replace the roof with a new one because the roof was too old, and that was why the leaks started when they worked on it (this was a completely different statement from what they had told me when I signed the contract and they started the work). Now we have to replace the roof at our own expense, but we don't want to continue with Freedom Forever anymore.

We want to cancel the contract because they have shown no ethical business practices, no financial backing to resolve the payment issue with the local contractor who repaired the damage, and their customer support is worthless. They only take complaints but do nothing to provide a solution.

SHOULD BE 0 STARS. Freedom Forever showed up on my doorstep in March.

That's when the sales reps lies and deception started. First I was told I would save a ton of money and FPL would be eliminated. The solar panels were installed for Sunrun and the system couldn't produce enough, I was now paying 2 electric bills. Sunrun $97.00 and over $80.00 to FPL.

I was told by Freedom Forever all I needed was more panels,BUT forgot to mention it was another contract with Mosiac. Now I'm paying 3 electric bills Sunrun $97.00, Mosiac $60.00, and still over $60.00 to FPL. NOTHING BUT LIES AND DECEPTION. When I complained and asked to cancel all the garbage they sold me I was told by Freedom that it's in their contract, they do not guarantee you will save money.

STAY AWAY FROM FREEDOM FOREVER SOLAR LLC. NOTHING BUT LIES AND DECEPTION. WILL NOT SAVE YOU MONEY.

MY ELECTRIC COSTS DOUBLED. FREEDOM FOREVER SOLAR LLC IS A VERY BAD COMPANY.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Install August of 2022 and took until Feb of 2023 to get permission to operate.

Now, 8 months later, I've had a panel out for 3 months and have had TWO appointments scheduled for repair. I've taken 2 days off work and BOTH times, no call, no show. I've called customer service at least 15 times over the last 2 months, spoked to 2 supervisors and no one calls back. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced.

Large company that doesn't give a crap about is customers after install. I can't say enough about what a terrible experience this has been and I've wasted 2 days off from work and probably another full day of my time making phone calls to them. I even wrote a negative review for the local office and the canned response was "we'd like to turn you experience into a 5 star review, someone will reach out within 72 hrs".

Think that ever happened??? What a joke, I would never recommend them to anyone!!

Freedom Forever installed panels on my detached garage last year. Their electrical conduit was against code, and a safety hazard as it could be ripped out of the garage wall, but they blew me off and never corrected the issue when I tried to get into contact with them repeatedly.

Worse issues arose when I listed my home, had a buyer and in the home inspection report, it was shown that the garage roof was buckling under the weight of the panels, as evidently it was not structurally sound enough to support as many panels as they put on. Freedom Forever again tried to blow me off, and after two weeks, we finally got through to a manager, and there was zero open case about this huge issue, and upon reading the report, tried to say they were not going to help resolve the issue as nothing was wrong with the main residences roof, though this has nothing to do with the situation as the panels are on the detached garage. Them not knowing this despite their records, and how many times it was reiterated on the phone is concerning in itself. Their handling of the situation may cause the deal to go through, has caused immense structural damage to my home, and caused my PTSD and mental health issues from the Army to act up.

Freedom Forever has caused me so much damage physically, economically, emotionally and otherwise, and their refusal to take any accountability has lead me to no choice but legal action. Avoid this company at any and all costs!

NO SOLAR SERVICE. WE ARE SENIOR CITIZENS BOTH ON SSI BENEFITS AND ARE HAVING TO PAY CPS AND TODAY SERVED WITH LETTER FROM A DEBT COLLECTOR FOR OVERDUE PAYMENT OF $288.00.

SOLAR PANELS ARE IN PLACE BUT NOT TURNED ON. FINANCING WENT THRU A YEAR AGO AND TOOK OVER 6 MONTHS TO INSTALL. MY CREDIT SCORE IS BEING AFFECTED BY FREEDOM. WE CAN'T AFFORD TWO BILLS FOR LIGHT AND FREEDOM DOES NOT COMPLY??

WE CALL BUT NO DEFINITE. DATE TO TURN ON SOLAR. FREEDOM QUICK TO FINANCE AND COLLECT AND WE FEEL LIKE WE ARE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AS OLDER SENIORS. NOT SATISFIED AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND FREEDOM AT ALL!!
