Not managed correctly

Incorrectly priced items ,store not opening on time,store closing early,products around store open,baskets in poor condition employees fussing about management.this has been happening over past 2 months

Lack of management

Disappointing

I used to frequent the Fred's in Fulton, MS. I find myself going there less and less.

The selection of merchandise is lacking as well as the appearance of the entire store. Most of the times I have shopped there, only one person is checking, even though there is a line.

The employees and managers are not friendly either.

Lastly, for the past 2 or 3 weeks the doors at the entrance have been blocked off with a sign that tells customers to use the exit doors. Isn't this a fire hazzard?

I am very disappointed in the customer service and the store.

One registar open with 5 people waiting too check out, finally open another register and the clerk services the last person in line after severalv other customers have been waiting for 10 minutes.

I informed the manager about the lack of customer service and she explained the person that got waited on when second register opened was the clerks son, as if that is a good excuse. I called the customer service phone number, left a detailed message with call back number and received ZERO reply. I will NOT go to a FREDS store again, DOLLOR GENERAL and WAL-MART will get all my future business.

FRED'S, YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR STORE WORTH GOING TO THE PEN OVER!

I was told that I could no longer shop in their store with my backpack on. Fred's, "YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR STORE WORTH GOING TO THE PEN OVER!" I used to shop at this store all the time before they were taken over by new management a few years ago.

They used to have real nice employees and I used to love shopping there. Now, even though I leave my backpack outside the store, they act like they think that i am going there to steal. I don't as much as I would, because I just rush in real quick and try to get out before someone is tempted to rip off my backpack, which is often filled with stuff from other stores I've shopped at, as well as DVD's and books from the library. I always feel very unwelcome in their store and hardly ever go there anymore, even though they are the closest place to me.

I miss the nice people that used to run the other store.

I like to keep my backpack with me when I go shopping, beacause I can't think straight to decide what to buy when the whole time I am worrying about someone ripping me off. Also, they often have real long lines to checkout there with people saying stuff like "This is worse than Wal-Mart!" So again, I wanna say, "FRED"S, YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR STORE WORTH GOING TO THE PEN OVER!"

I wrote the previous review. Just to let everyone know that I haven't been to this particular store in months.

The last time I went, I was buying a 12 pack of coco-cola and I put down all of my change to pay and the boss lady that happened to be checking me out that day said 'WHAT'S THIS?" real angrily, and she said that next time that I had to have everything rolled up or not to shop there. There wasn't enough coins of pennies, nickels, dimes, or quarters to make a roll even if I had one. Several other employees were laughing at me and I was very offended at the rude way that she treated me. I realized why she was so angry that I had given her change when she went to count it, and I saw that she didn't know how to count change?

I had a dollar in my hand that I was going to hand her as part of the payment, but she pretended to count the money, and it was obvious that she didn't know how to count because I watched and she was saying amounts that didn't match what she was counting, and then she came to the total and said 'Ok, you can go now!" and so I figured, well maybe some extra change must have magically appeared out of thin air to make up the difference. If she had known how to count, she would have said 'You need another dollar" and I would have handed it to her, but she counted out loud and then came to the total and said that i could go. i don't think that someone who doesn't have basic elementary school skills should be working as the manager of a Fred's Store. That is why she was so pissed off that I handed her change, because there were two other ladies there watching and she didn't want them to know that she couldn't count.

Well, that is the last time that I went to that store. I don't appreciate being treated rudely like that. And she is the same woman who told me that I couldn't shop in her store with my backpack on. You know, you don't run a business that way.

Insulting customers and telling them that they have to leave their backpack outside of the store. I think that they should fire her, and get someone who knows how to count change to be the manager. Shame, shame, shame. I haven't been back, even though it is the closest store to where i live and it would save me alot of time.

I really do miss the nice folks that used to work there. they never complained if you paid with coins (they knew how to count change) and they were always really nice to me. I am sure that this manager woman has treated other customers poorly, and her store has probably been doing much worse financially than it was when the previous nice folks ran the place. Whenever I pass by the store, I think that no way am I going to go back into that store.

Not unless i find out that she is no longer the manager there. If I find out that they got some all new nice people running the place, i will gladly return and give them my business.

i think that a basic requirement for working in retail is that you should know how to count change. And another basic thing is being nice and friendly to your customers.

Inmarr Rebates RIPOFF!

In August I purchased three bags of Arm & Hammer cat litter. There was a rebate offer on each bag for four dollars.

I submitted all the required information in a timely manner, but the rebates were declined. I called their customer service department to inquire. I was told that my submission was received past the deadline. I have proof that this isn't correct.

After the agent placed me on a long hold, she returned and told me that I did in fact meet their criteria, but she could only honor one of the three rebates. This is NOT what I was told initially.

At any rate...The loss of $8.00 isn't going to break my budget one way or another. I'm venting because I think their business practices are deceptive and should be called out as such.

I shop alot of Fred Stores and since moving to Nashville Georgia 31639 the Freds Store on 719 South Davis Street has the poorest Supervision of managers. everytime I go in that store employees are smoking outside one register only open and today i went in manager and 2 employees on which wasnt on company time is gossiping about a dollar general employee at register with customers full hearing all of it,I feel its not professional and really makes business look bad, I am considering not shopping that store anymore unless it gets more professional workers and Managers to make it a great place to shop and not like a beauty salon gossiping and smoking outside standing by propane bottles and actually have registers open and employees presentable
