What a nightmare dealing with Fred's.
I called to request a service call for our double oven on Jan. 24, 2023.
We had this same failure a few years ago and I told the scheduler which part was needed. An appointment was made for February 10th. On that morning they called and said that they didn't have anyone available to come due to illness or whatever. They then set the next appointment for February 23rd.
On the morning of Feb 23rd they called and said they wouldn't be able to come again. The next appointment was set for March 6th and the same thing happened that morning. Finally on March 17th 2 repairmen show up without the part that they were supposed to bring. Being a glutton for punishment I agreed they could order the part and get the oven repaired as long as it would be be prior to Easter when my wife would need both ovens.
On March 29th the scheduler called and said that the part was in and the next available slot was April 24th. I explained that I was assured that it would be installed prior to Easter which is April 9th this year and was told that would not be possible. At that point I'd enough and walked away from the fiasco that I should have ended much earlier. To top things off they quoted $200 more for the part than other suppliers and wanted $250/hr for labor.
To recap: 3 no shows that wasted my time and then on the 4th they show up without the part.
All this over a 2 month time frame. It appears that when they miss an appointment that your next opportunity will be pushed out to the end of the waiting list.

Complete and utter Disappointment
Lets just put it this way, I would rather hire my obese wheelchair bound neighbor then hire freds appliance. First mistake made, they send a unmasked cigarettes' smoking man into my house to contaminate it.
Second mistake, they decided to neglect details and ordered a wrong motor for my kitchen fan, that they wanted to charge me for. Third and final mistake, they did not stop sending me the bill for this motor until I broke down and came in to deal with there unpleasant reception crew.
Thank you freds for shining light upon what a business should never be. There is *** on earth, its freds appliance.

My husband ordered a fridge, dishwasher, and stove on 6/20. No delivery time was given.
I called three times to try and find out when they would be delivered, so we could get a plumber to install the dishwasher and ice maker tubing for the fridge. Every response was exactly the same. We will talk to our reps and get right back to you. Never happened.
My husband finally called last week and they were finally delivered on Thursday 7/16. They got the fridge in. Wouldn't touch the dishwasher. But did not bring the parts needed to hook it or the fridge up.
When they put the stove in, it wouldn't work. Wouldn't come on. When the plug was pulled on the old one there was no indication there was a problem. When they plugged in the new one, nothing.
No one knew if it was the stove or the box. They said an electrician would be out first thing Friday morning to see if it was the stove or the electrical box. Of course we heard nothing on Friday, so husband called again. They can come NEXT THURSDAY.
A week without the stove. He told them this was not acceptable. They said they would deliver a new stove Saturday. They brought a stove, it still didn't work.
The problem is probably in our electrical box. HOWEVER, the stove they brought to replace our brand new stove was a ding and dent floor display. NOT what we bought. They didn't say a word, but I knew immediately it was not the same stove we bought and I saw the big dent on the side.
They were never going to tell us! When I tried to call, they weren't picking up, although they were open. I called another store and told them to get a hold of the store here and get my NEW stove back. We did not pay for a ding and dent.
The salesman called and said he didn't know what they were doing..got that right. He has to order a new stove for us, but has no idea when one will get here. We can use the ding and dent until then. My point here is, the service has been awful...and they were willing to STEAL from us by giving us a "new" stove that was about 400 less than we paid for, with apparently no intention of ever telling us.
I thought stealing was illegal.
We will never ever deal with them again and would never ever recommend them. I would give them a minus 3 stars if I could.

We bought a GE Profile FS Self Clean Range from Fred's Appliance. We have had this range for less than 3 weeks and used it probably 3 -4 times during that time.
On January 17 our new range had a error code of F-200 and was beeping. I called the store to find out what the code was so I could figure out what to do to stop the beeping. All I got was some snotty women who would not call a tech to ask what the code meant so I would know what to do to stop it properly without damaging the range and she would not call a tech or even the manager so we could get answers. All she did was hung up on me.
This was at 4pm and the manager was still there so we could get our questions answered. She would not have a tech out tell January 28th to fix it. (She did not care that it was beeping with a code. And she had no answers on how to stop it and did not care.) This was unacceptable to us as this would leave us for almost 2 weeks without a range to cook on.
We called the store and found out the tech. managers name but of course by then he had left for the day. We went to the store to find out answers and asked for a manager and we were told he had left for the day. The salesman kept stalling and putting us off and after most of the sales people left for the night we were told the manager had just left.
(he was there when we walked in the door but did not want to talk with us) We finally got the tech managers phone number and left a message because he was gone for the day also. The Tech manager called the next day and promised we would have a tech out Monday morning on January 21 and was promised this problem would be taken care of. Buy this time all we wanted was our money back because we had been lied to by the store manager, their service dept and we were feed up. We were told they did not want a used appliance back because they had nothing to do with used appliances.
This range has big problems..it gets so hot to the touch on any metal part that it burns you. The clock has quit working and it cooks so hot that it burns any food cooked in it. Its going to start a fire. Well the service gal called today and canceled our appointment and rescheduled our appointment until Wed.
January 23. We are tired of their games and promises and want our money back sense they can not keep their word and have lied right to our face over and over..
They are not in good faith even trying to work with us. Is it to much to just want our money back?
