Franklin Sussex - poor service

I had an issue last night, went in to drop off my truck. One person with nose to computer typing away.

Receptionist - asked if I was dropping off which I replied yes, was told someone would be right with me. Two other employees walking around with their thumbs performing a self vapor lock test (if you know what I mean). I waited and then thought, I am not feeling respected, appreciated or that my time was being well spent. I asked the receptionist to cancel my appointment and drove out.

Went to a local garage - spoke with the one mechanic on duty who immediately took the time to discuss my matter. Guess who has my business.....

Dealership is a joke

This dealership is a joke. My car broke down at 24,000 miles due to transmission failure. my UConnect bluetooth module was not working either. at the time of transmission repair my car had a cold air intake, exhaust and metal intercooler instead of the stock plastic one (mainly becuase the intercooler mount melted from how hot this car ran stock. ) Transmission was repaired no questions asked. however the bluetooth module was not fixed because the dealership had told me the car was too new and they didn't know why it was locked up and acting like it was.

The car functioned fine for about another 30k miles. -- at 59k(ish) miles the transmission was behaving strange and telling me auto stick was not available. I went back to franklin sussex. they looked at the transmission and flashed new firmware due to a "Safety Recall" I came and picked up my car. However i was charged a diagnostic fee to tell me my uconnect was locked up (which i already paid for back when I found out my Uconnect was locked up the first time i went in for service) and it would cost me $450 to fix. outraged I asked to speak to Jim, telling him that It should be paid for since the issue was documented since 24k miles. Jim turned me away and told me he wouldn't budge on helping me.

So now not only was I out 120$ for a diagnostic fee that I told them i didn't want because i knew the reason the bluetooth wasn't working. at this point they wouldn't stand behind their product. Car goes in 3 days later (For transmission issues what a surprise!) This time they blamed it on a wiring issue. stating that it was an electrical short causing the transmission issues. and I was charged $247.

Annoyed I paid it and picked up my car and was on my way. 2 weeks later my car goes in for transmission issues yet again. Mind you every time my car has gone in for service it has had the same parts on it and no questions asked. I was also put in a rental no questions asked. Paid for. This time i was put in a rental. They told me that they would call me and let me know whats going on when they can get to it which was about a week from then. A week goes by and Pam calls me telling me that Jim would like to speak to me. Jim gets on the phone and proceeds to tell me that he isnt going to fix my car because my modifications are the reason my transmission is having issues. Annoyed we went back and forth on the phone for a little bit. Jim admitted that the modifications weren't the reason for the transmission issues - unless the car was tuned very very heavily the parts I had on it would not do anything to the transmission. yet he would still not honor fixing the car even thought there were no new parts added and it was in the same condition as it was when it broke down and 24000 miles and the "engineers came to look at it and okayed it for repair"

2 days later im blind-sided by a charge for 547.51 for the cost of my rental. Furious i called the dealership and Jim told me he isnt covering my rental and that I was Informed when i got the rental that it would be on me if they didnt fix the car. The funny thing is I didnt speak to jim about my car until i had already received it back. when I was given my rental I was given a reservation number on the phone drove over two days later. handed my keys over to Pam and had enterprise outside waiting for me.

Frustrated I reached out to a buddy of mine who is a mechanic for the company. He let me know that the transmission has been blown from the start and they didnt fix it because the dealership did not want to take the hit for a transmission. nothing that was done to the car had any relation to why the car wasn't functioning.

Needless to say I will never refer another family member or friend (Which i sent alot of) to get a car from here. we will all go to different dealerships for service. and I am going to let everyone know about the service and mistreatment I received from this dealership.

Avoid this dealership at any cost. they will try to nickle and dime you where as Precision in Butler will really take care of you. Drive the few extra miles.

The biggest problem with this service department is the *** sitting in the managers office. Lying *** with no integrity at all. Lets the advisors take a beating for everything that goes on there.

Terrible Service department

Called 2 weeks ahead of time to schedule an appointment for a Dodge Ram recall. They checked and said they had the recall part.

Took it over along with someone to pick me up so I could leave it one day ahead of time so they could work on it at their convenience. 2 service reps were there but had their faces stuck to the computer screen. 5 minutes later "someone will be with you". 10 minutes later I leaned in a little closer and finally got a " anybody helping you" response.

They started to log my recall in, went out to the truck for the mileage info, sat down and said we do not have the part, not until January 2017. So wasted a lot of my time and someone else's time.

This not the 1st time I have had terrible service intake department experience here. So we will not go back to Franklin Sussex Automall.

2014 Dodge Dart engine failure manual transmission

After owning my new 2014 Dart for less then 7 months the engine blew. They replaced it after the car being in the shop for over 30 days.

A month later the car wouldn't start after several tries it finally started with a very loud noise and huge puff of white smoke came from the engine. I drove it straight to the dealership. The car was in for a day and they said there is nothing wrong it could of been caused by condensation. I brought the car back several times because the engine made a very loud sound especially when idling.

They said nothing wrong but it could be the tires. I replaced the tires and the car still made loud noises and was especially hard to shift gears. Everytime I brought the car in they made me feel ***. Well on a Sunday evening with my 3 kids in the car the transmission blew to peices.

It made such a loud noise and white smoke all over the neighborhood. I shut the car off and we ran for our lives. It was terrifying! The car was towed to Franklin Sussex Auto Mall.

A few days later I got a call from Jim and he said it was caused by driver error. Said I drove the car rough and that is what caused the transmission to explode!!!!! and it is not covered under warranty. The car has 30k miles and I don't even know what it means to drive rough???

I use my car for my occupation I am a realtor and to drive my 3 kids around. No idea what that means to drive a car rough!

Now I'm without a car and there is over 4k in damages. The transmission exploded and there was metal shooting everywhere and put holes in the car.

2012 jeep

took my 2012 jeep there after i smelled smoke & it died on the road. i had it towed there ,they told me it needed an alternator & battery they put them in but it still wouldnt start for them ,after 2 weeks & contles phone calls they admitted it was in gear from being towed (DAH),it came to over $2000 .When i went to pick it up it was dead they said my key was no good & it would be $240 for a new one,well instead my new battery was dead,Scott in service tried telling me it sat to long & they have brand new cars that need jump starts(new chevys dont need jump starts)I came back again they said it was ready & it was dead again.total incompetance!!!!!

INFO HE NEVER CALLED MY INS. CO AND HAD ME DRIVE OFF THE LOT WITH MY NEW CAR 60 MILES!!!!!!!!

TO MY HOME WITH NOOOOOOOOOO INSURANCE.I CALLED DEALERSHIP SO FAR NO RESPONSE . BADDDDDDD SERVICE .IF I GOT IN AN ACCIDENT OR BETTER YET PULL OVER BY THE POLICE .I WOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND MY LICENSE SUSPENDED//////.JUST TO INFORM YOU I AM A NYPD RETIRED POLICE OFFICER.I AM REALLY PISSED OFF AND LUCKY NOTHING HAPPEN TOO ME ON MY RIDE HOME

Beware!!

We were excited to buy a new van - we went in and started working on numbers where they gave us an interest rate. We were approved and told to come in to sign the papers.

Before signing we said- Did anything change? Nope nothing changed. This is all the same we talked about yesterday? Yep!

Well sure enough we realized months later that the interest is over 4% higher than we agreed on. We were in a hurry because my husband was late for work.... SHAME ON US and we will NEVER EVER make this mistake again. Now onto the next nightmare- they deal with ALLY AUTO!!

High pressure sales,

I purchased a 2014 dodge caravan yesterday, I was conned into signing papers that did not have the right purchase price. I was separated from my fiancé so he could not stop me from purchasing the car.

They told me the price was $20,000 when in fact they charged me $25,000. Devious sales practice. They told me the deposit I left was refundable when in fact it wasn't. They charged me too much for this vehicle.

I want my old car back now!

and to return this car. They tried to conn me into buying 2 cars instead of one.

Don't buy any cars from them

I had bought a used car from them and within two years had Major problems when I told them about a exhaust leak they told me there was none and told me this three times until my flex pipe actually broke and I had to call the main guy because the other service mangers were nasty then after arguing with them they finally fixed it mind you only had the car at that point for 2 months and they told me wear and tear *** I know how a car works. ...

now two years in and I have to replace a oil pan and alled then and they said there is nothing they can do cause they give you a 30 day warranty on it. ..

bunch of people that don't know what there doing ... never again will I go there!

This company has ripped us off for thousands of dollars fixing our car!!! They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ETHICS!!!

They are condescending and liars! When I complained about what was done to us the 5 TIMES we had to bring the car in, they tried to explain how a car works like I was an ***!!! I wonder if BILL SNOOFER knows whats goin on at his dealership??? I will NEVER buy a car from them again!!

Sold me ***

Bought a new 2012 dodge ram 1500. a weeks later oil on my driveway.

Told they need to replace rear main oil seal??? Only had 800 miles on it WTF are you kidding. Had bad experience with rear seal. They get fixed but only last a year or 2 before leaking again.

so looks like its gonna be a pain for the rest of the time I own this junk.Man has dodge gone down hill.

Have owned a ram since 1987 and I will NEVER buy another one again. I see a ford or chevy in my near future

This company absolutely does not care who you are or what you will be driving. they will do anything to get you into the showroom.

they propped up a light fixture on my car and said it was fine. they replaced brakes, but never lubricated the brakes so now they are shot again. DO NOT listen to a word Steve Nardone says. He is a ***.

they sold me a certified pre owned vehicle that was "looked at and guaranteed". I have had my vehicle for less then two months and have brought it back to them 5 times. that is unacceptable. When buying a car you shouldn't have to bring it back to the seller, especially a well known company like this.

They refuse to fix any issue on my car and want me to pay for the labor. WORST PLACE EVER!

Believe it when you hear or read anything negative about this dealership. Nothing but lies and deceit from everyone there!

You would think after purchasing four vehicles with them they would respect you enough to want you to come back.

I should have known from Bill Sniffers limp handshake back when I bought my first truck to go somewhere else. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP !!!

EFranklin Sussex Automall in N.J. has salespeople that are lying cheating ***.

They will quote you any price to get you into the showroom. Avoid this place at all costs. Especilly avoid a salesperson called Nina Lusic as she is definately one of the worst low life people on the face of the earth. Calls to the sales manager were never returned.

I also called the better business bureau on this dealership.There were also two other customers that were upset by the practices of these salespeople and walked out of the showroom yelling. Still waiting on a response from chrysler.

Yes, Nina is a low life, lying, typical scam artist...and the reason why no one called you back nor did Nina receive any repercussion for not calling a customer back, is because Nina is in a relationship with one of the managers. Take it from someone who regrets purchasing a car from these people as well as a family member who purchased a car from them and was later told by someone who understands financing well that they were ripped off beyond belief.

These people are ruthless. Stay away from these people.
