2004 Ford F150, 53,657.5 miles, bought Brand New with extended warranty. LOT OF GOOD THAT DID! 2015, truck is 11 yrs old, warranty is 10yrs or 100,000, their defect with the timing chain with the oil. What the heck. We babyied this truck so we could keep it, paid off and enjoy it! Wasn't cheap back in 04 at over $35k. We haven't even had a new muffler and have this problem? Our hometown mechanic (we trust) couldn't do the work. Didn't have the Expensive tools it required! Fox Valley Ford, whom we bought it from had to do the work. Oh boy! Taken for a RIDE! David Owens, the Service Mgr, said bring it in Monday, will be 3 to 5 days. No communication from him, I had to call him for updates! Didn't hear anything and called Friday, 5 days now, doesn't know? Called Sat, talked with Ed, expressed my frustration, oh now Enterprise is getting me an suv? Now, really!! Should have talked to Ed from the get Go! It's now Wed, the next week and the truck is ready for a Tune of $3400 some odd dollars, what! It's a FORD problem!!!! HELP! Contacting all media to help on this one - NOT RIGHT!
