Foscam needs to wakeup

recently bought two foscams on their bogo offer...good thing not much money involved it all seems to be a scam to get you to pay for their cloud service. It works ok as a weathercam but the other one does me no real good. I hate ANYTHING that forces me to use someone...

Support? What's that?

II love Foscam cameras but if you ever need any kind of assistance with them, you will not get it from Foscam. While they do seem to update their product pages on their web site, their support pages are grossly outdated. Sales and support forms and dumped to email addresses that no longer exist. Tech support by Foscam via the message boards is also non-existent. Oh, and if you like to use Chrome browser, good luck, because it isn't supported by Foscam. Though their 2013 web instruction page says it is. My advice is if you know what you're doing and don't have any problems, then Foscam is great. If you're new to IP cameras and streaming video or you run into an issue you can't resolve though, don't even bother trying to contact them. Just return the device and get something else. You will never hear from them - EVER. And if you do, it will be the same generic, outdated support from 2013 that's already all over their web page.

Foscam - No support

They are scam. They stop providing technical support and also state that their company has been sold to another one. DON'T buy Foscam. Their price range is not really cheap neither. Many other brands like Samsung, Nest are way more reliable. Foscam is based in China so if anything happens to your cam, you stuck. They are scam. Warranty Repair or Exchange

The vertical pan my Foscam FI9831P V2 quit working. Everything else on it worked fine. After paying the shipping both ways to get it replaced or repaired I received some older camera back. The older version 1 camera is not what I purchased. I purchased a newer version 2. The older camera uses an SD card not a micro SD like the camera I sent in. I guess now I get to buy an old SD card or an adapter. The version 2 that I sent back didn't interfere with the FM on our radio like the old version 1 camera I received in exchange. For some reason the old camera they sent back has a manual focus lens something I didn't have to deal with on the newer camera but have had to adjust twice now. Like others have stated, Foscam doesn't respond to emails and when you do get through to tech support after long waits, the accent is heavy and hard to understand. After what they did to me I can no longer recommend this company.
