Swindled and lied to

I have had problems with Fortbend Lights since the beginning of our initial arrangement. I continued to use them because I invested over $250 in the lights.

Each year, they were late, like days late, and then would quote about $200 more that they asked for on the phone. Juan Barron, the owner, informed me today that he only does houses if he is making $600. Therefore, he will not be putting lights on my house this year, and I may not have my lights back. He also informed me this week that I owed him money (unbeknownst to me) and made up an elaborate story that he never received payment LAST YEAR...then changed his story that he did receive payment, it just wasn't enough money.

REALLY? Do not do business with this company. They will be days late, charge you too much, and then manipulate in order to make more money.

I easily found someone else to do my lights- $100 for installation, and $100 to take them down. Yes, my friends, $600 is TOO MUCH!

Fort bend christmas lights company is rude and is a rip off

Fort Bend Christmas lights is an awful company! In November of 2010 I hired fort bend christmas lights to line the front of my house with Christmas lights.

then in 2011 they came out again and it was a disaster. A man fell off a ladder at around 10pm. I couldn't even believe they were there that late. we repeatedly asked him if he wanted us to take him to a hospital and he said no someone is on the way.

we waited with him and attended to him. a few days later I called to check on this person and Juan picked up and told me that he was badly hurt and I apologize because i felt bad but it was not my fault. I asked when they were going to coming back to finish the work and he said in a couple of days that turned into three weeks. I only got to enjoy my lights for a little over a month.

when it came time to take down they threw down all the lighting cord and the bulbs that were mostly broken and still screwed in on my front porch. I never called to complain I just carefully picked it up and threw it away and swept up the broken glass cause there was no salvaging this. today 10/12/2012 I called to schedule putting up my lights and Juan told me that the reason they did not store them for me as they did the previous year was because they were no longer going to service my area cause it was to far and they took on to much work. I said then you should have told me that day and had then carefully remove my lights and help me properly store them so they could be used gain.

not throw them on my front porch and break the bulbs still screwed in making it impossible to remove. He agreed with me. I said that they should come and do it right this year and he said no. I told him that I was going to go to the BBB and he said while I'm at it that I should also put how I didn't take care of the man that fell of the ladder.

What great customer service Juan has! For one he was never there. It is also not my fault nor responsibility but as a decent person does we did help him.

Juan did not try to resolve anything with me but he did manage to insult me. If you are looking for someone to put your lights up this company has bad work ethics and customer service.

You can't even depend on Juan taking care of his kids. He is very irresponsible and don't trust him with your money or wife.

I agree. They were supposed to come in last week to install my lights.

But never showed up nor did they call. The next day they said that they would come in today. But once again, did not.

He wouldn't even pick up my calls. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
