Poor service

Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Poor service

I just came from my parent’s grave and found this site. Please show more respect for our loved ones.

My family are so disappointed. I realize the decorations after the holidays needs to be updated but they could do a better job.

Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond VA are Crooks!

I do not want to get into major detail on such a personal issue so I will explain my horrible experience simply. I went with Forest Lawn in Richmond VA 4000 Pilots Lane Richmond, VA 23222-**** (*04) 321-****.

I couldnt believe the amount of hidden fees Lisa Price left out. when we first agreed on the transaction I thought everything was set. Then when it comes time to pay the bill her personality changed I could not believe it. I don't know how crooks like this stay in business.

They take your money and charge you bogus hidden fees while you are in a grieving state of mind. They dont tell you about these hidden fees until the end. This company is horrible and I urge everyone to stay away.

I don't know how they stay in business. I have been seeing more negative reviews lately which means hopefully people are catching on.

Forest Lawn Another View

Forest Lawn Another View

Friends - These people would not allow my mother's funeral to be held in their Cathedral Chapel in Long Beach, California, because we did not use their mortuary, even though I had purchased 3 crypts in their mausoleum years earlier. Their behavior in this matter was outrageous. You can read more by going to http://wwwforestlawnanotherview.com

I have always considered Forest Lawn to be a class act. Apparently, that is all it was, an "act."

What you will read on my site is the letter I wrote to Mr. John Llewellyn, CEO, with no response from him until I took to the internet with this story, then it was from an employee who thought she could "help."

A love one just passed away a few days ago we rushed to Forest Lawn since I own a burial site to set up the final moments. I spoke with representative of Forest lawn and paid in full the digging of the site chairs etc.

She orderly trained stated her condolences and continue to state the fees and paid. The following day we called to re-confirm and another rep informed us the timing was not good anymore and that we had to change to a half hour later. Our minds go in so many directions and no matter how many times you ask why these representatives act as if they are God themselves, and is their way and no other way. They don’t care if you are in pain and you better be ready to accept whatever they say.

The level of empathy is grossly measure by how much are you giving to this place. We did not do the mass or any other service and therefore the level of service will be diminish by how much you spend at Forest Lawn as is like going to the mall the more you buy the more they will like you.

It is people and business like that, that is making our society less tolerant and big business like Forest Lawn that hires these uncaring people. Please post your pass experiences and don't be afraid to show what really happened only because it will ruin your love ones meaningful experience memories of their burial but I am sure they will jumping with Joy to know some one is standing up this giant that thrives on pain and anguish and takes advantage of death.

So im getting the same nonsense, my dad & mom have bought & paid for their burial plots like 20 yrs ago & in 2012 my dad paid for his cemaition & ssevicees to be held @ forest lawn of Hollywood Hills where 10+ relatives & friends of the family buried. I cant believe they will NOT allow us to have his service to be held there.

what a MAJOR dis-service to my family & my dad's final wishes. Money is paid & its just the sevices!!! WOW!!!
