Outrages Lab Bill
- - Yearly checkup included bump removal and a visit cost of $668.88.
- - Lab bill was $5401.94 with a patient portion of $3396.53, and billing says it's correct.
I recently had my yearly check up on 3/27. They removed a small bump on my arm and sent it for lab work.
The visit cost me $668.88 which is well with in reason (my part $226.16). I have always liked going to Forefront Dermatology.
Then I got the bill for the lab work which is $5401.94 (my part $3396.53). My son is a doctor in Phoenix and I contact him about the high cost. He was blown away.
He told me that there must have been an error. I have been in contact with billing at Forefront and I'm told this is correct.
I will no long come to Ridge View Dermatology (part of Forefront Dermatology). The office in Lynchburg does an awesome job but I feel like I have been taken advantage of.
There is no way the labs should have cost that much. My son said that should have been less than $500.

I did work with Nicole at Forefront and my bill was reduced. I was much pleased with how that turned out and would now rate them much higher now. In the future be sure to ask about cost before having anything done.
