Can't convert their file extension without paying $149

This company, For the Record is a monopoly. As a customer who needs an audio file I went the courthouse and bought it. THEN I HAD to download this HORRIBLE software to LISTEN to it. THEN TO SHARE IT you HAVE to BUY THEIR software for $149.00 to convert the file so others can hear it. THIS IS ROBBERY. To those who have purchased a CD from the local courthouse who uses For The Record software, and found you cannot share it unless you buy the manager from FTR, here's the solution. This .trm is OWNED by They have a monopoly on this, and you CANNOT convert it unless you pay them $150 for the manager that is required to convert the file. I called, and was told that, so here's what I did. Took my cell phone, started playing the CD via FTR's free download, recorded the court hearing, and instantly I had an MP3 record without paying FTR a dime. Thought I'd pass this on since they are forcing ppl to pay $150 IF they want to share the recording that THEY bought at the courthouse. COURTS DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE. IT'S A SCAM FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TO BUY YOUR CD'S
