I am sharing my experience to warn other consumers about FootballTicketHome.
I purchased two tickets for the Chelsea vs Aston Villa match on 27 December, which were meant to be a birthday and Christmas gift for my child. Based on this purchase, we arranged and paid for hotel accommodation and transportation to London.
On the night of 25 December, just two days before the match, FootballTicketHome informed me by email that they could not provide the tickets due to supplier issues.
They offered several options, including a full refund, which I accepted immediately.
After confirming the refund:
No refund has been received
No confirmation has been provided
The company has stopped responding to emails and messages
Because of this extremely late cancellation, I lost £390 for the tickets, as well as additional hotel and travel expenses that could not be recovered. More importantly, this situation caused severe disappointment and emotional distress to my child, as the trip was planned around a special family occasion.
What is most concerning is not only the cancellation itself, but the lack of follow-up, lack of transparency, and complete loss of communication after promising a refund.
