Appoint made by the store and canceled without notice

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

To not show up for an appointment made by the store is shameful. I have had Diabetic Ulcers and was due for new Shoes and liners.

I already have sore places on the bottom of my feet and Foot Solution pulled a No Show on and appointment made over 2 months ago and no one called, text, or email me a notice.

For a Diabetic this is a DEATH SENTENCE. I have had a close friend and a uncle that had a leg Amputated in the last 2 months and you pull this- criminal- no one offered and excuse- inexcusable

Foot Solutions - Did not stand behind their product

Spent $399 for custom arch supports for my husband he has a low back injury & I was told he would be able to walk further went back to the store to have them adjusted 3 or 4 times finally had them remake the soft support instead of the hard one went back to the store once for these finally took out the supports and his back pain improved was promised by salesperson that as long as he let them try to fix them she would refund our money 10 1/2 months later the owner says it’s been almost a year so unfortunately we can’t do that a total waste of money & a lot of extra pain my husband went through would never recommend their products to anyone unless you have money to throw away

Disrespectful service in Glasgow. We were shouted at for pressing the entry bell several times.

The signage was unclear. Was spoken rudely to on the phone today when I asked to change an appointment. Was told that I change appointments frequently which is a lie.

I’ve spent £700+ to be treated like this? Never again

Absolutely agree. I have never done a customer review but feel very compelled to in this case. I FULLY believe this is a husband & wife con-artist team.

Have not received item paid to have made 8 months ago.

On September 12 of 2018 my wife and I paid $286.86 to have a pair of compression stockings made for her swelling problems related to her cancer surgery from the Foot Solutions franchise at 414 Sawdust Road The Woodlands Tx 77380 phone number 281-292-****.We live 375 miles from this store and are in the area about twice a year to visit family.Matty Kremer who fitted my wife originally said it would take a couple of months to be made.We contacted him several times and he said it would be a few more weeks each time for different reasons. It has now been 8 months since we paid for the stockings and have yet to receive. For the last 3 months we have called and only get their answering machine. We have left at least 3 dozen detailed messages and still no return call from them.I even tried an email and no response. Please contact me by email roy.duncan@***.net or by phone 956-571-**** to help us resolve this problem. Respectfully yours Roy Duncan

Very rude manager

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased two sets of insoles to replace the ones in my everyday shoEs. Even although I only paid 2.50 for each set I assumed they would last more than a few weeks before crumbling into nothing.

I took the disintegrated insoles into the store to show them. The words out of the managers mouth was ‘what did you expect for 2.50. Look at the shoes you have them in. ‘

What an *** He offers me a pair smugly and I told him it was an inferior product and that I didn’t want them.

I would never shop in that store and by word of mouth they will lose a lot of business. What a horrible way to treat a paying customer even if it was a small purchase.

Buyer Beware

What brand-new product would you buy for $400 that you couldn’t return? Can you find a return policy on their website?

I used my customized arch supports in products purchased from this store for about a year before finally giving them up. What a relief! As soon as the arch supports came out, I stopped suffering from foot cramps, leg cramps and shin splints that plagued me every time I walked since buying them.

On my first visit I told my “skilled fitting professional” that I was a retiree on a fixed income, but I walk a lot so was willing to invest in my feet. Barb assured that me as their website claims, with their “broad range of footwear and the most innovative Perfetto arch supports …we’ll come up with a solution for minimizing or alleviating your foot and foot-related pain and discomfort.”

Barb said I would be comfortable walking in Finn Comfort sandals all day, they would last 10 years and they were guaranteed. Her sales pitch was so good that I spent far more than I’ve ever paid for sandals and walked out the door in them, meaning I couldn’t return them. I went out of town that weekend, bringing only my new sandals. The leather was so stiff that walking was agonizing and by the time I got home, my toes were all cut up. When I returned to the store, Barb stuck bright blue cushioning tape along the insides of my pricy “comfort” sandals and gave me a hard time about allowing it to happen.

The sandals never got comfortable because the Velcro straps were either too loose around my feet and ankles, or too tight and hurt. When I walked, it felt like I was pitching forward. But having invested so much, I kept trying to use them. Within a few months, the stitching was all broken and the soles very worn. I took them out in Spring 2018 and realizing the level of deterioration, contacted Finn Comfort. Turns out the guarantee is only for re-stitching, a $35 value. I would have to pay $80 to replace the soles. I didn’t really believe Barb’s absurd puffing that they would “last 10 years” but I was hoping for at least as long as I’ve enjoyed with much cheaper sandals!

Barb also special-ordered athletic shoes for me. These were too large, my heels slipping out of them when I walked. I tried to return them before wearing them outside, but she told me the arch supports wouldn’t fit in a smaller sized shoe. She convinced me I just needed to tie them differently and the slippage would stop once I broke them in. Of course, once I wore them I couldn’t return them. Again, I got the condescending message that I was the problem, not the product. I vowed never to go back.

Still I’d spent nearly $800, so resolved to give my feet and body time to adjust to the shoes and arch supports, and faithfully followed the instruction sheet provided. But whenever I walked, I would wake up in the night with pain in my feet, shins and calves that kept me up for hours. Still I kept trying to “adjust.”

It finally dawned on me that while my personal arches do fit my feet, the arch in the shoe itself and the arch in my supports don’t line up, throwing me off kilter when I walk. They also impact my gait and balance differently depending on the shoe. Lightbulb moment: It’s likely only a person who can afford custom-made shoes can truly benefit from custom-made arch supports.

It seems the sole goal (no pun intended) of Foot Solutions is: Make. The. Sale. My $400 arch supports and $265 sandals are now in the trash. The $130 athletic shoes still slip and will be donated. I went in to the store with 1 hammer toe, a bunion and back pain. Now I have 2 hammer toes—one on each foot—a bunion and back pain. I’m another year older and about $800 wiser and deeper in debt. But at least I no longer wake up to the nightmare tortures experienced when I was using my arch supports.

The owner told me Foot Solutions doesn’t fear negative reviews. I replied that if just 1 person reads my story and decides not to walk into his store, then I will have achieved my aim in writing it.

I tried to return my product and also brought up the $350 OVERcharge. They refused to refund any money at all, and even refused to give me my receipt back (she had asked to see it).

She just kept pulling it out of my reach and saying "No". I only got it back after threatening to call the police (to which she said " You'd BETTER not!". I'm now disputing the entire $985 charge. Admittedly, there were red flags galore when I had my foot "evaluation" with Maddy.

I was just so excited at the prospect of fixing my foot pain that I ignored them. Clearly that's what he's counting on.

Lesson learned! In my opinion, he's just an excellent con-artist.

Slippery shoes

I bought a pair of shoes from foot solutions in Plymouth Devon they cost me £199 I wore the shoes on and off for a fortnight, when wearing them on wet surfaces I kept slipping my feet even slipped off the foot pedals whilst driving, today I had my fitting for the insoles and took the shoes back as it was like wearing a pair of ice skates, they said that I could not have a refund or exchange.I feel cheated out of my £199 and asked them for the number for head office which I rang when I got home the lady on the phone said that she had contacted the owner of the company and that he would get back to me but hey ho still waiting for him to contact me, at the end of the day I have spent £470 in total for shoes and soles which in fairness I can not afford but thought if it was good for my feet really not happy about this situation

BUYER BEWARE - NO REFUND POLICY

I brought my wife to Foot Solutions in Largo, FL hoping to find a quality pair of shoes that will help her walk. The sales pitch we received was impressive and she left with a $280.00 pair of shoes. Our excitement turned quickly to sadness when she discovered the shoes caused her so much pain she couldn't wear them. Living an hour away, we went to the store the following Saturday planning to return them. A sales person encouraged her to keep trying and made an adjustment to the arch. After another week of attempting to "get used" to the shoes, my wife's pain was just too unbearable. I kept encouraging her to try maybe an hour or so then to go back to her old shoes as the sales person suggested on the previous visit. On the last day she wore the shoes she developed a small split on the ball of her foot. Being diabetic she became scared and made it clear she would never put the shoes on again. She was very upset.

I took off work and made the hour trek to the store again expecting to simply return them. "The shoes just did not work out," I explained. I was told very firmly and matter-of-factly that since the shoes had been worn, they would not refund them...period. I explained that they had encouraged her to keep trying on our last visit, but the manager was very cold in telling me that once we left the store we were "on our own." Basically she told me that my wife had the opportunity to wear them in the store before we bought them, but once she wore them outside the store they would not take them back. I explained that we'd be willing to come back someday and try another pair, but obviously the little bit of profit they made on this one sale that clearly did not work out for us is much more important to them than having either one of us ever buy from them again.

That is a red flag of a store that likely won't be open for very much longer as repeat business or customer loyalty is not important as compared to a quick buck in the moment.

This morning, by refusing to take the shoes back and treating me as a fool and a sucker in front of their other customers for having my wife walk out of their store with a new pair of shoes, not only have they lost my family's business forever, I will definitely share our negative experience with everyone we know. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE.

FROM FOOT SOLUTIONS OF LARGO:

Thank you for your feedback.

We are happy to work with our clients at no extra charge and for as long as it takes to find something that works. In fact we offered to do that several times when you were in the store and we called at the end of the day to again offer to work with her.

Like many other reputable retailers, we will give a refund if an item is in like-new and unworn condition.

For example, Amazon.com will reject returns on fashion items (including shoes) that are not in “new and unworn condition.”

We gain nothing by having your wife stay uncomfortable. We are a locally-owned small business that prides itself on giving superior customer service. We have served thousands of satisfied clients for over 13 years, many referred to us by other clients and by local doctors. We want to find the right solutions for our clients and for your wife.

In your comments you said “we'd be willing to come back someday and try another pair,” but in the store you told us that your wife did not want to come in and would cause a scene if she did come in.

Please let us help her.

Unfortunately we can’t help her find the comfort she wants without seeing her and her feet, so we again offer to work with her to make her comfortable. Thanks again.

The staff at Foot Solutions have been nothing but amazing. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my orthotics were correct, even resizing me and ordering a new set to ensure my comfort.

They are always willing to help and explain how the process works. Lauretta, the owner, is even willing to work after regular store hours to ensure I'm taken care of. Barbara and Maureen, who are sales staff, have never hesitated to assist me every time I've come in, even though it may not lead to a sale for them. They will work to solve any issues that you may experience.

They are great people.

Shoes are virtually useless

I paid $147 for a pair of sneakers at foot solutions that would keep my ankles straight while I walk/stand. I have serious pronation problems that were causing severe back pain.

I bought these, but they don't protect the tops of my feet from getting wet, even just a drop! They are also slippery...they are not non-slip...the manufacturer was useless to help, stating they won't work if you walk in grease....I work in a donut shop...I don't work around grease...I slipped at work, which was why I called the store to complain. Anyway, the store won't help me because the company won't take responsibility...I would expect better customer service from a company, but this is the new America...nobody takes responsibility for their actions/faults. These might be some great shoes for some people, but they don't do as much for me as I'd hoped.

I don't expect miracles.

After all, I'm on my feet 8 hours or more some days...but I did expect to be able to wear my shoes at work without slipping and sliding everywhere when the floor is mopped...I have worn better cheap shoes that didn't do this...I would expect better performance from something I paid that much for. I'm furious, and hope to let others know that these people have lousy customer service skills when it comes to actually parting with a few bucks to reimburse someone after they are injured by their products when they don't perform to the standards they claim.

You said it all. Nobody takes responsibility for their actions. Including customers.

The person who sold you the shoes was obviously not trained in proper shoes for your work atmosphere. I owned a Foot Solutions and we never told anyone that shoes were 100% non-slip.

Yes, there are shoes labeled "slip-resistant." Most slip-resistant shoes are for water, very few handle grease. Unless you buy from Shoes for Crews or some other place that your work refers you to, you're at risk for falling in a greasy setting - even just a small amount. I agree with Foot Doc. The best thing for you would have been a pair of orthotics.

Shoes are an important component with orthotics. You wouldn't put a $200-300 product in a pair of shoes that are not known for quality and/or stability (i.e. Keds, K-Mart/Walmart shoes, etc.) Your health is everything and the benefits you received from properly made orthotics is worth purchasing them - even if you have to pay for them. Very few insurance providers pay for orthotics.

They would rather pay for the surgery.

Consider their cost equal to or less than a Wii console, Iphone 6, radio-controlled cars, etc. When your feet hurt, everything hurts.

Guest

while these shoes may have done wonders for some, they didn't help me at all, and my cat ended up putting holes in them with her claws. I paid too much, what a surprise. They were nice shoes, but lousy for work, and don't wear them in the rain!

Guest

I purchased two pairs and ended up with very smelly sweaty shoes. That I would have to take my shoes off outside and head straight to the shower.

I finally got the problem under control and refuse to wear the two pairs of shoes I purchased.

Guest

Dear Sir

The shoe was never going to improve your posture. The truth is you should have been custom fit for an orthotic. Not that Dr Shoals junk but a rigid orthotic that corrects your mass displacement. I send many patients to Foot Solutions and most often have with fantastic results. I think the truth may sound something like this. You were taken through a process that informed you that you needed a custom orthotic,

Yet you deferred due to price and asked if they had a shoe that could

help. This is a common scenario and i would submit to you 350 to 400 dollars is a small price to pay for a better quality of life. The shoes only house the product you needed to improve yours. To work in a Foot Solutions requires over 1200 hours of pedorthic training i wish more retailers would require this type experience
