Ordered futon mattress. Was told it could be delivered on Friday, but needed it sooner.
I arranged to pick it up on a Tuesday in Easthampton as Mattress Firm was picking up a mattress on Wednesday. I arrived at warehouse with a friend who took time off of work with his truck. Was told it was "oversold", but may get discount on a better model. I explained that I wanted that model and could not wait as my old futon was bad, and my back was acting up, as was visible with my back support belt.
Called Maynard store to speak with owner, was told he was interviewing, and after explaining situation I would be called back. Went to store and was told I could pay 50% of the increase in price to get a better model. I explained that was unacceptable as mattress should have been tagged at warehouse and if one was not available I should have been told so. Store help was not empathetic or interested in goodwill to a customer (repeat customer at that).
Friend is in retail (as I was) and was also appalled.
Owner NEVER called back, and neither owner or Northampton manager responded to my letter. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
