Parkinson’s Department (Mr. Parkinson represents The Director’s Office at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services). When asked simply whether his department stood behind the statements on their official website (www.freshfromflorida.com) Mr. Parkinson seemed to change his story more than once, then “refused to comment” and was both abrasive and callous in his utter disregard for the concerns of Florida residents like myself, who come to the Department’s website seeking unbiased information and a better understanding of Florida State rules and regulations.
If citizens cannot rely on facts and statements made IN WRITING on official government websites (which were double-checked by Mr.
Parkinson), what CAN we rely on? Uncaring and thoughtless individuals such as Alan Parkinson are, in my opinion, the reason for many of our nation’s (and the world’s) problems.
