Terrible. I joined the gym around six weeks ago and all seemed well.
Today i received an email telling me that the gym was being enhanced and Fitness 4 less were asking members for a contribution, the email went on to say that my contribution would be debited from my account in January! I contacted the gym and was told that the 'enhancement fee' is explained in the terms and conditions.
The gym should have told me about any fees before I joined, simply helping themselves to my bank account and then pointing at their terms and condition is completely unacceptable. Needless to say I have cancelled the direct debit and will be joining a proper gym.
Simply, Fitness4Less isn't trying to save money
The worst part about this whole thing is that, if you dont have enough funds one month, They will charge you a fee that is more than the original monthly payment, which is dumb and only makes it harder to pay... Fees fees fees is all they know and this is how they make money.
I was told when signing up that it was only 20 dollars a month, no yearly fee, no cancellation fee.
I wouldn't say that any particular gym is to blame, but the entire companies motives are completely bogus... Save yourself and never get a gym membership at Fitness4Less...

I have been a member of fitness for less for more than a year. I don't feel like all types of customers were kept in mind when creating the gym. They charge a monthly fee of $19.99, maintenance fee of $ 20 once a year, and a cancelation fee of $75. I was told all of the fine print before I signed up, but I did not throughly do my research nor did I expect my overall experience there to be like it was. If I did my research I would have discovered there are so many other gyms that offer the exact same service and better without the maintenance or cancelation fee. Another issue is that It is so easy to apply for a membership however difficult to cancel. I searched all online and there is no place. I searched online for a direct number for the main Company and I couldn't even find a website. The website did I did find was a generic one the same exact website for all 4 local branches. They don't have a direct person to speak to or contact if there any comments questions or concerns on the website There is neither a place for customers to put there reviews of gym on the website. I feel like the website was put up just to have a website. They probably haven't looked at their own website years.
My near seat branch is *** They are nice when you go there, but they do t know too much about the place. They always tell me to go online, call the manager (who is never there or there at awkward times) or they tell me to call the head company.
It is really annoying to see money taken out of my and I haven't been there in 10 months :-/. (I know that's a long time since I have worked out ) on top of everything they haven't sent a courtesy letter to inquire why I haven't been attending the gym.
As far as the equipment. It is okay. Nothing spectacular. It's literally average equipment. It not brand spanking new but it's not old either.

Fitness4less in Clinton, MD.
Fitness4less gym in Clinton, MD has a tricky way of locking you into a contract. Their pitch to potential customers is that there is no membership fee.
However, I am now locked into a 2 year contract and if I choose to cancel it will cost me $75. An annual fee has been already been deducted from my account and I have not been there 1 year yet.
There was no notification about upcoming deductions which has caused me to have an overdraft in my account. When my contract is up I will NOT be signing up with them again!

Fitness 4 Less is a huge scam
This gym had signs up for weeks saying $0 enrollment & $10.00/month.
When I went in the enrollment was $199.00. Monthly dues are $19.99/month plus a year "maintenance fee". I've run health clubs in the past and should have run from this one. Unfortunately for me I didn't. Now that I've moved and need to cancel there is a $175.00 cancellation fee.
This was the one in Clinton, Maryland. However I imagine they all have this caliber of ethics. They should be ashamed of themselves.
A maintenance fee for a place that was always dirty and didn't provide ANY ammenities. Give me a break!
A cancellation fee is insane, especially considering they contract doesn't state that there is a cancellation fee.

DONT JOIN BECAUSE YOU WILL BE STUCK. I am a member of Fitness 4 Less at the Clinton location.
When I signed up I paid the 39.00 "initiation amount", (which is really an enrollment fee with a different name). My main reason for joining this gym was because it is month 2 month and I was told that all I have to do is give them a 30 day notice to cancel. HOWEVER, THAT INFORMATION WAS HALF ***! THERE IS A $75.00 CANCELLATION FEE.
AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORST, EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS, YOU STILL WILL BE CHARGED THIS FEE! Another issue I have with this gym is, they charge you $40 a year for "maintaning" the equiptment. So can somebody please tell me the *** my $40 is maintaning? Because the gym in Clinton is run down.
The equiptment in this gym is limited and old and the bathrooms are awful. The only good thing about this place are the classes and even they are getting old.
So don't believe the month 2 month no contract deal. There is a contract and you will have to pay to get out of it.
As a senior citizen I am appalled that I must pay $75 to cancel my membership. I sent a statement from my doctor that stated that I will not be able to exercise.
At my previous gym, to cancel the membership, I simply needed to send a certified letter. Fitness4Less is a scam and a rip off.
It is only for the young. I am sorry I enrolled.,

Tried to get info regarding cancelling my membership by emailing customerservice@***.com and it was returned undeliverable...not surprising...
When I signed up the gym in Clinton was not open yet and my enrollment fee was $0.00. My son joined three months ago and his enrollment fee was $69.00. Sounds like a bogus complaint...
