I got a message saying I had a virus and I should not use my computer. It said I should call this number and they would fix the problem. It cost me $250 to have First Choice Tech Support remove the virus. Then the guy said to me for $400 dollars they would give me 3 years of virus protection and 3 years of unlimited tune ups.I agreed to pay the $400 dollars for unlimited virus protection and for the unlimited tune ups.The sales rep said call about every 3 months to get your computer tuned up.I call just recently for a tune up and was told that I only paid $400 dollars for 3 years of virus removal. Please don't use there services totally a rip off.

1choice tech support sent warning Of critical system failure

My screen went black, then blue with warning ..net frame error 895-system 32.exe failure. Then it changed to "BSOD;error 333registry failure of operating system-host:blue screen error OxOOOOOOCE...Thinking this was apple support I followed his instructions, next thing I knew He had control over my computer....Turns out...it was a sales pitch from 1st choice computer support not Apple...I feel my security online is at risk.

How do these people have access to my computer? To send a warning that my info is at risk of being lost or hackers can get my info, then having no I put to change what they sent...I couldn't,t ever close page....Please help...

First Choice Tech Support 3301 Quantum Blvd, Boynton, FL is a scam company that instals pop ups on both Mac and Pc computers claiming that your computer is infected with a virus. You will not be able to eliminate the popup. If you let them access your computer, they will steal your financial info and use it to charge your bank accounts.

How did First Choice number show up?

I have a Macbook. I was attempting to register a Visa gift card to make an online purchase.

When I clicked on "register" on the gift card site, immediately I got a full blue screen with a warning in large white letters.

Then I got a pop-up that had a phone number to call. The phone number was also on the blue screen.

I clicked the "OK" on the pop-up and it would disappear and reappear several times. Then I got a verbal warning through my speakers "DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER. CALL THE NUMBER..."

I called the number and found out it was "First Choice" and not Apple support.

How did this third party support company show up on my computer?

I allowed them remote access for about 3-5 minutes and sensed a sales pitch...refused and closed the window, and turned off my computer.
