It's prepaid, so you put in the amount you want, & when you can. I always check my amount and usage online, I keep track. Example, we can put $30Friday 2 days later (mind you Sunday is "free" ....BS) by Monday its off and NEGATIVE. We don't use that much power!!! It's constant it seems more expensive this way, they charge like crazy. im changing power company.

Your system is so screwed up for making payments on deferred payment plan the system does not separate it and it makes it look like your deferred payment plan is in default therefore you can't get any Arrangements on the account I'm on a fixed income and do not have extra money to come up with throughout the month I feel like you take advantage of low income people

Worse company I have ever dealt with. Avoid this company at all cost. Customer service reps are horrible can't tell me how my bill even got up to $400. Shady company.

My husband switched us from another Pay-as-you-go provider lured in by the "Free Weekends" offered. Starting out we put 40 dollars onto our account. About a week later we added another 100.00. A text came in stating that our current balance after that was like 130.00 something dollars. We were like yeah right.Sometimes *** doesn't register immediately, we just added 100 bucks, it should all be okay. We continue on with our busy lives because... Read more

Someone in the Houston area has been using my Social Security number to acquire utility service without furnishing a picture ID. This is the fourth utility company that has allowed this to happen May through July, 2015. They have been using my Social Security number to get service by phone or online. I have not lived in Houston since 2013 and NO utilities in my name for the past 10 years. When I call to report this, they want me to PROVE who... Read more

First Choice Power is a terrible company to get service from. They charge hidden fees and withold deposits after charging late fees without warning. Read the fine print carefully with this company. With multiple power services to choose from this company would be last on my list.
