Verified Reviewer | Redondo Beach, CaliforniaScrewed us over and kept the money
These people made false promises to help my family and I. First told us that they could amend the taxes and everything would go away.
They said because our audit situation has house fire paperwork to back why we couldnt prove anything, that it would be easy. They failed, so we went into offer in compromise. The person working on that one promised that it would be easy. That us being a single income family due to a disabled family member, and being unable to get a loan on our house cause one was fresh in a job and no built up equity after having to sell the rebuild house fire house because of estate purposes, that it was a guarantee.
However, when the IRS started asking for information that we already gave the company, and they were asking for it again, we refused to give it again. They told the IRS that we refused to give them paperwork, and screwed the whole offer in compromise.
We paid almost $2000 and they did nothing but mishandle a task and paperwork. Don't trust these people.

Unprofessional Business
At first, they talk a lot to you and say "it's easy to resolve all your tax problems." Once you give them money, they will never give response from you. When they do get a response, they always want more money.
These employees are unprofessional and non-skills. The managers are very con!
User's recommendation: Run from them!

Verified Reviewer | Cleveland, OhioTreated very disrespectful
8/25/22. Tried to have a power antenna installed @ Finishline on my 84' Buick.
(I have a new one in the box supplied). I was quoted $600 ($100 an hour labor), technician said that the fender had to be removed and there was a lot of labor involved. I told them I watched 3 YouTube videos and only the wheel and wheel well had to be removed and labor was 2-3 hours. (I am disabled and would have done the work if I could).
When I said, "I guess you don't want my business." I was asked to leave out the side door.
If you are not sure how to perform the work or just don't want to do it just say so. I would have understood.
User's recommendation: try another shop

FINISHLINE TAX SOLUTIONS, LLC Tax ID 320******** Zip Code 77054
May 2020
Finishline tax solution submitted an offer in compromise form 656 to the IRS on my behalf. It was rejected
by the IRS because it was incomplete.
Approximately June-July 2021 I filed bankruptcy and was recently discharged in approximately May 2022
Until I filed BK 2:21 bk 04349 I pleaded with the company (Finishline tax solutions) to finish the process until I
was not able to contact them or get a call back until I filed a complaint with the BBB in early 2022.
The company finally responded and only offered me $500 (non-negotiable) refund out of the $1700 I paid them
claiming that they did file my 2016 tax return.
I felt I had no choice but to accept the $500 at the time.
Reason for the complaint: I feel that paying $1.200 is excessive for filing one tax return on my behalf and not
completing the offer in compromise as promised. I want more of my refund back from this company and
willing to pay a reasonable amount for filing a tax return.
Reasonable is about $150 as charged by most tax
preparation companies.
No documents are attached. I only have a copy of form 656 filed by the company and a copy of 2016
tax return the company filed on my behalf.

Horrible company/ Completely Fake/ Scamming/ Under handed
Horrible company and a complete waste of time and money. I made a mistake on my 2018 taxes and received notice from IRS saying I owe 5k.
I contact Finishline to deal with the IRS and was informed to stop making payments to IRS and send them $300 a month for 6 months. I put my 1st pay towards the balance in Oct. 2021 and monthly payments of $300. After 5 months of waiting, Finishline came up with a payment plan of $72 a month for 6 years.
I could have made payment arrangements with IRS instead of paying this fake company. After a few months, I did my taxes and the IRS took $5580 so they have been paid in full. I decided to contact the IRS and was informed at no time did Finishline Taxes contact them by email, fax, or phone. For the entire 6 months, this company did absolutely nothing concerning me with IRS to help with my solution.
They charge my account but did not do their job. They will only scam you, take your money, and will not contact the IRS. They tell you to stop paying the IRS so you can pay them to do absolutely nothing.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Currently seeking guidance on reporting them and getting my money back.

My refund for1900.00
I am a senior and a disabled veteran. I contacted this firm hoping that I could get my Internal Revenue bill deceased.
Based on the review, you stated that you could help me. So the cost of this review was $1900.00, which i thought was very expensive. So moving forward believing that this firm could help me . After talking with Steffany Jackson, Senior Tax Analyst and Manuel Vasquez, my records showed that I had money in the bank, own cars, which I thoughts it had nothing to do with getting my (IRS) bill deceased.
So based on the review and research, i am requested my money to be refunded back to me. I have a serious complaint about the final results.
Please contact me!!! Thanks!!!

Verified Reviewercancellation of my account and the refund of 780.00
I didn't get 780.00 back. They kept 600.00 and after a long time refunded 180.00. They are a horrible company
Very poor service and treatment. Paid $780.00 up front and got absolutely nothing but lies.
I got nothing that I was promised. Could barely get anyone to talk to me.
So I told them that I was cancelling my account and that I wanted my money refunded. And they agreed to it but no one as done anything yet

Scott Curley = Michael Avery at Finish Line Tax Solutions
Scott Curley is at it again. I signed up with his new company Finish Line Tax Solutions, paid the 2500 and got nothing.
They promised me the moon and gave me dog *** A little internet searching shows that Scott Curley is now using the name Michael Avery. I found out that Michael Avery is Scott Curley with about a 10 minute internet search.
Do not give this scam company any money. What really *** me off is that I was referred to them by Optima Tax Relief, who I though was legit, but I guess they are a scam company also.

You can’t blame this company if you refuse to give paperwork that was asked for. That’s all on you.
If you would read the information, I said I had already gave them the information multiple times. When I wanted an accountability for my sensitive documents, they choose to tell the IRS that I was refusing to give documents.
I didnt refuse the IRS, I wanted to know why they needed the same documentation again. Mishandling of documents can lead to identity theft.
