Jonathan Baltuch is a fraud and a thief

He is also owner of Shoes Only Travel
Original review posted by user May 09, 2013
Baltuch and his wife booked 3 cruises that I know of, under the name of Fine Food and Wine. They included air fare and hotels. He collected the money from hundreds of people and did not pay the vendors, even though he sent out confirmations for cruise/air/hotel reservations to his clients. He collected approximately $15,000 from me personally, then I found out he kept the money and filed for bankruptcy. No cruise, nor air fare. Furthermore, when the host frantically scraped together the funds so as not to lose the cruiseline, Baltuch fought our Amex disputes by telling them he doesn't owe any money because we're still getting a cruise! So most of us are still fighting with Amex to obtain refunds in order to reimburse the host. Apparently he has already started another vacation business, only a few months later. How long will this scam artist be allowed to rip people off?? ID

Cruise Cancelled without Refund
I am writing this letter to inform you of my extreme dissatisfaction with FineFoodandWineCruise.com. In April, 2012, my wife and I booked a Mediterranean cruise through the aforementioned company. The cruise was hosted by the Merry Edwards Winery and on the Windstar Line. On December 19, 2012, I was first notified by the Merry Edwards Winery and then by a Mr. Jonathan Baltuch, President of FineFoodandWineCruise.com, that due to a contract dispute between FineFoodandWineCruise.com and Windstar the cruise was cancelled. The total cost of the cruise was $8,720.00 which included travel insurance and port fees. On April 17, 2012, I made an initial deposit of $2,950.00. A second deposit totaling $2,500.00 was made on August 27, 2012. In addition, I incurred costs related to the trip of $2,786.60 in airfare and $2,061.60 in lodging. Consequently I have paid out $10,298.20 of which I have recovered only $1,415.00. To date I have $8,883.20 that has yet to be refunded. Attempts to contact FineFoodandWineCruise.com and have my money returned have been unsuccessful. I am in the process of filing a claim with Travel Guard (the travel insurance company through which the trip insurance was purchased), but have been advised that this type of trip cancellation is not covered.

Fine Food and Wine Cruise collected deposit money and cancelled the trip without repaying customers
We signed up for a cruise through finefoodandwinecruise.com since we were interested in the winery that they featured. We paid deposits totaling over $7000 and were about to pay the rest when we learned from a email written by Jonathan Baltuch of the Fine Food and Wine Cruise company that he had cancelled the cruise. He did not pay Windstar or the winery that attracted us to the cruise in the first place. He refers us to credit card companies and Trip Guard Travel Insurance for restitution. He owns another cruise company called ShoesOnlyTravel.net. I would be very wary of giving this man money. Trip Guard Travel Insurance is looking into the problem but they tell me that they do not cover contract disputes.

Fine Food And Wine Cruise
They have now done the same thing to the Tobin James Cruise scheduled for Tahiti and French Polynesia in April. They are filing for Bankruptcy next week.
The company and the owners have stolen over a million dollars on that cruise alone.
Jonathan Baltuch seems very dishonest. He should be investigated for fraud.
He takes money and cancels the cruise and won't return the money?????
He doesn't even answer phone calls or emails???? He also owns ShoesOnlyTravel.net.
It is unbelievable that this guy (Jonathan Baltuch) can think he can get away with this
Jonathan Baltuch and his wife, Lori Baltuch, are crooks and seem to be running a Ponzi scheme. They should be investigated for fraud.
