AI Highlights
  • - Two payments merged, delaying mortgage.
  • - Partner died; I’m on disability with monthly Social Security, and Selene requires a certified death certificate.

Two payments of mine two separate money orders were put together as one payment making me one month behind in my house payment. After my partner that bought this house with me was killed in an accident, I was placed on disability/social Security.

Then it went to Social Security when I reached retirement age now I was only getting paid once a month the third week of each month.I asked Selene Finance if I could change my due date so I wouldnt be late every month I was told no. Falling on hard times after covid I am applying again i filled out the hardship letter and application, my friend and I checked page per page three times to make sure everything went into the envelope. Well Selene Finance claimed I was missing a page, so i resent that page in, I was then told that they needed a certified copy of my partners death certificate. I explained that they should have a copy from the last modification I did, one was sent in then.

I was told they didn't and I needed a certified copy of it to be sent in. Well since my partner and I were not married I can not get a copy of the death certificate without going brfore s judge and getting a court order. AS I mentioned in my oart one of this complaint I have been strung along already to pre forclosurev and have been given 15 days to cone up with this and copies of the original deed where we signed joint tenancy with survivorship rafts. Well, my house had been broke into after my partners death and everything that wasn't stolen covered the entire floor knee-deep.

They know this, finding anything is a miracle. So new I have to come up with copies of the deed as well, I can only imagine what they will come up with next besides all the fees that are being added on.

User's recommendation: Run and steer clear of Selene Finance.unless yoir into pain, suffering and you want tonn B lose your house and mind.

I guess I don’t understand. I get the SS third week payment, but for example, didn’t you get paid Wednesday February 21 and wasn’t that for February 1st?

I understand it is technically late with the bank, but your credit reports wouldn’t even reflect anything negative as you paid before March 1st the next payment due date. This scenario doesn’t lead to pre-foreclosure.
