Square Enix ENDORSES online harassment and stalking on Final Fantasy XIV
- - Ongoing stalking, harassment, and defamation by a player for infrequent play, with repeated reports to Square Enix and little GM response.
I have done PvP in this game for years and there is this person who stalks me whenever I am online to snipe me in matches with her linkshell (basically communities or almost like a guild) and defames me because I no longer wish to play with her.
This has been ongoing for almost two years! I only play this game once every few months or years. I will come back to see how the game is doing and will always hear something new about her or what she has said behind my back whenever someone who used to play with her wants to play with me.
I have reported her with several times to Square Enix (probably nearly in the double-digits now) and usually it is some copy-paste message with grief tactics and whenever speaking to a GM it's always about "having my back", only to find out the GMs wasted my time.
You can indeed stalk, harass, and defame someone, but you can't say *** even though the same studio released a game called Final Fantasy XVI, in which the word *** has a literal 15 minute compilation on Youtube, can't make this stuff up! They can and will ban you if someone reports that, but nevermind stalking, harassing, defaming, and any degenerate and indecent behavior that's unacceptable elsewhere.
