Regular missed appointments

We have the preferred partnership with Furr, which is required to get annual maintenance on our generator. For the past 3 years the same thing has happened when I set up an appointment for annual service. They set up the appointment 2-3 weeks out so they can order the kit. The day of the appointment no one shows up and when I call I am told the appt was canceled because the tech did not have the kit. They will then reschedule 2-3 weeks out so they can order the kit. This happened 3 years in a row. I am fed up and will probably end my use of Furr. It is a shame what has happened to this company I have used them for years and had them replace HVAC at 2 homes. This last HVAC install was a disaster but that is another complaint.

Poor workmanship quality

I bought a new water heater tank on 8/20/21. Since then it has never work properly. Four times the technicians have come and every time is something difference. The latest is a part for the exhaust has to be order. Main time I have no hot water, which has forced me to stay at my hotel longer than expected. Further, when the water heater tank was installed they failed to properly install the gas feeding, thus putting me in harms way. It seems odd that the exhaust part was not replace in the initial installation of the water heater or is it your company policy to take short cuts and put your customers in harms way.

User's recommendation: FH Furr a your own risk! No sense of customer service, and don't be fool with how nice they are.

Unsatisfied Customer

BUYER BEWARE!!! Brought a brand new Top of the line Lennox Furnace from FH Furr 5 years ago. During my yearly scheduled maintenance they tell me that mold is building up on the inside of the furnace and I need to spend $1300.00 to install a UV light to kill the mold. Now, FH Furr know this is a problem with furnaces but instead of them preventing the problem when they install the furnace and inform the customer they wait until it happens so they can get more money from the customer. Just be aware if you buy a furnace from them theyll be back for more money. I am a Very Unsatisfied Customer.

HORRIBLE COMPANY - SCAMMERS...FAULTY PRODUCTS. BEWARE.

This company should be sanctioned for misrepresentation and faulty sales practices. I was sold a *** HVAC system (I believe it was refurbished) because it NEVER WORKED PROPERLY SINCE IT WAS INSTALLED. This company sold me a $14K HVAC system they deem to be their "gold standard" that has been faulty with nothing but problems since I made this purchase a few years ago. The system needed a new motor within MONTHS at which time I insisted a replacement unit. The motor is the main component to a HVAC system and NO HONORABLE HVAC COMPANY would not have insisted a replacement since a new system IS UNDER WARRANTY. IF THIS SYSTEM WERE BRAND NEW LIKE I WAS SOLD, THE SYSTEM WOULD HAVE THEN HAD A WARRANTY THAT EARLY IN THE GAME. IT DID NOT HAVE A WARRANTY WHICH IS WHY I BELIEVE THIS UNIT WAS REFURBISHED OR THEY WOULD EASILY BEEN ABLE TO SIMPLY REINSTALL A NEW SYSTEM. THEY HAVE REPLACED A THERMOSTAT THAT BREAKS DOWN EVERY SINGLE SPRING, I have had MULTIPLE inept and inexperienced team members and "managers" to my residence to fix all the issues I've had for them to keep resurfacing. I now have NO AIR CONDITIONING ALL OVER AGAIN RGHT BEFORE SPRING..RIGHT ON TARGET because this system NEVER CAN TRANSITION FROM HEAT TO AIR CONDITIONING WITHOUT BREAKING DOWN. ALL OVER AGAIN, THE AIR CONDITIONING IS NOT WORKING AND THE THERMOSTAT IS NOT WORKING. MY ELECTRIC BILL LAST MONTH CLEARLY INDICATES THAT I'VE BEEN PAYING FOR A SYSTEM THAT'S OVERWORKING ITSELF - UNABLE TO PRODUCE AIR CONDITIONING. Air barely comes from my vents when the system is "functioning" at all and it's been a mess. Prior to this install, I had a 20 year-old system in place that worked far better than this one. The only reason I replaced that system was the age in fear of it breaking down. Had I known, I would have kept that system as long as possible. No excuse as to why the "cadillac" of all HVAC systems would be sold to me REFURBISHED AND DEFECTIVE. THEY SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED. The company has a slew of bad ratings on Yelp AND with the BBB. The "owner" does NOTHING to resolve major issues - she either ignores the issues or sends inexperienced employees to my residence to NEVER resolve the matters. I have not had a comfortable enjoyable home since this DEFECTIVE HVAC SYSTEM was installed at the price of $14k (I'm still paying on this POS). Meanwhile, what they're good at is upselling BS you don't need to try and "optimize" their *** SYSTEM that doesn't work. This is their game. They install a *** UNIT then try to tell you that you need all these supplemental attachments to make it work effectively. I've been lied to, scammed and because I'm a single woman - I've been victimized of faulty and fraudulent sales practices. Now that she sees I'm a single woman and has come to the realization of who I am, she's stopped responding altogether. Thanks to Yelp, I've been in contact with other people who've been scammed by this company and we may initiate a class action suit I'm not the only one this has happened to. Their "remedy" is to continue sending *** employees to my residence to NEVER FIX THESE ISSUES to last. This is clearly all by design too. I paid them nearly $600 to simply take a hose to my outside unit a year ago to clean it which was a rip off. It was not even why I CALLED THEM OUT HERE. It was an upsell I regret because no new system should have required it. I now have to pay another company that has 5-star ratings to come to assess this POS. This will be the evidence I need once and for all to back my claim. They claim to be a Christian company as a cover to gain trust from potential suckers who believe such claims. No Christian company is this corrupt. BEWARE OF THE HIGH GOOGLE RATINGS. THESE COMPANIES ARE INFAMOUS FOR PAYING PEOPLE OFF OR GIVING DISCOUNTS IN EXCHANGE FOR GOOD REVIEWS AND GETTING THEIR BUDDIES IN ON THE SHAM. THEY BUY OFF YELP AND BBB. Beware of false prophets people!

User's recommendation: SAVE YOURSELVES THE MONEY AND HASSLE. USE ANOTHER COMPANY FOR YOUR MAJOR HVAC PURCHASES.

FH Furr Price Gouging tactics

In July of 2016 I purchased a Lennox AC and Heating system from FH FURR because I saw that Costco had them displayed at a kiosk in their store. Usually when we think of quality we think of Costco in most cases. So their reputation means alot. I received the excellent service and even forgave them for messing up my thermostat and not giving me the wifi enabled one like I had initially asked for. They never fixed the issue to my satisfaction after multiple attempts through email and phone with my sales Rep. I am writing this review because when I purchased this system I didn't have time to do the research I usually did and when your AC is out in the heat of the summer with 100 degree weather you kind of just want to get the issue fixed ASAP. I trusted Costco to have my back, and realized they completely went off the mark on this one and trust me I will be letting them know. After a spending a year watching neighbors and friends get the EXACT SAME AC AND HEATING systems for HALF ...YES you read this right ...HALF of what I paid, I decided it was time for me to write this review and share it with everyone so that you won't have what happened to me happened to you. I paid almost $14K for my system. The average A/C and Heating system with labor shouldn't cost AT MOST over $4K, maybe $6K the most. NOT $14K. Don't let this type of price gouging and highway robbery happen to you. Do your research and find a qualified competitor who will treat you right and not want to steal your hard earned money. This is how FH FURR does business. FH Furr did reach out to me in June 2017 in response to my complaint as written above to say they would get someone to call me.
