HORRIBLE COMPANY
NOT HUMANS, REPTILES FROM ANOTHER PLANET IN HUMAN BODY.
THE EARTH IS FOR HUMANS, VERY SAD. THE GMs KISSING THEIR COWORKERS *** THE HALLWAY, WHAT A SHAME. THEY THINK NOBODY KNOWS HAHA.
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Don’t buy cars from them, they are not from this planet , not humans, no heart.
Illegal tactics
Searched for a car online, and sorted by lowest price. Found a deal and clicked button to inquire. Very next day I am told the actual price is 15k higher.
Employed illegal bait and switch with website online.
User's recommendation: Be wary of dishonest company
"BAIT AND SWITCH"...WHAT WONT' FERMAN PROMISE YOU FOR THE CHARGE OF $135 FOR A NDIGNOSES
NEVER, HAVE I FELT SO MANIPULATED BY A DEALERSHIP. INSISTING THAT I WAS APPROVED FOR A "CUSTOMER ASSISANCE PROGRAM" (TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT) THROUGH THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE, PROMISING ME A LOANER CAR WOULD BE WAITING FOR ME, AND THAT THE CHARGE OF THE DIAGNOSIS ($135) WOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
HOWEVER, IT WAS ALL LIES. THIS I LEARNED ONLY AFTER I PAID TO HAVE MY MINI TOWED TO THE PALM HARBOR LOCSTION FROM SPRING HILL. WHY? THEY MANIPULATED ME FOR A $135 TRANSMISSION DIAGNOSES.
THAT LIES ARE MANY, AND THE HELP IS NONEXISTANT. WHEN THE GIRL WHO MADE ALL THE PROMISES SAW ME SHE PRETENDED SHE DID NOT. SHE COULD NOT EVEN MAKE EYE CONTACT. IF FERMAN WOULD TREAT ME LIKE THIS FOR $135, WHAT WOULD THEY DO O SOMEONE THAT PURCHASED A NEW CAR FROM THEM?
WAIT, I KNOW HOW THEY WOULD TREAT YOU....JUST READ THE COMPLAINTS PRIOR TO THIS ONE. RUN, DO NOT WALK, RUN AWAY.
TOO MANY OTHER CUSTOMER ORIENTED WONDERFUL DEALERSHIPS IN TAMPA. WHY GET SCREWED BY THIS ONE

They will put your life endanger!
I recently took my 2010 Clubman S in because the clutch had slipped. The car was perfectly functional, but the clutch pedal release was really high. After dropping off the car, I get a call and told I must be willing to put up $1500 for a diagnosis fee, even though the car is under maintenance and warranty. And if I wanted the car fixed it would be $3000. There is no doubt the clutch is nearly 100% done. Ferman refuses to do it under maintenance because the clutch may have a millimeter of life left in it. I call MiniUSA and they tell me that is the service managers decision to make. Thanks for nother MiniUSA. So decide to pick up the car thinking I will drive it a couple of more weeks and then they clutch will be completely out.
When I pick up the car the service advisor asks me if I have the number to roadside assistance. I laughed thinking he was joking. As I left the dealership I could tell right away they had done something to the car because is was much worse. Since I had to get to work I could not turn around and confront them. By the time I got to work I decided I would not return to Ferman, but rather take the car to another dealership.
Long story short, the other Mini service team immediately told me the clutch was bad and it was dangerous that I was driving the car. The car is at the other shop now having the clutch and whatever fixed under warranty, that Ferman wanted to charge me for.
Avoid this place for service. Oh and they best part is when I got the survey and sent it in to Ferman I got a voicemail from someone telling me there "technicians must get paid". I am not sure exact what that means, but I guess my money is greener than Mini's money? All I know is to Ferman money is more important than the safety and satisfaction of the customer.
Remove service and customer service from their biz!
After recently purchasing a $36,000 new Mini Cooper, I was fed too many lies to recount (from the inept sales team) to the service team (who continued the farce and fed me another pack of lies!)
These people should not be granted a business license if the words "service" or "customer service" are involved in their business!
Save yourself a lot of headaches, drive to Orlando or Wesley Chapel; it will be worth it in the end; don't deal with the Tampa schmucks, you will regret it! You will be adding to your purchase burden, now in need of an attorney!
Mini makes a great product but the Ferman Mini Tampa franchise gives BMW Mini a bad name!
Poor handling of customer
I recently visisted this dealership in pursuit of my MINI purchase. Chris Amato in Sales, was the person I was talking to. He handling of the costumer is so poor and rude. When I asked for a quote, he told me to go and check on the website showing his arrogant attitude. When I complained about him to their sales coordinator, then he emailed me asking if I require a quote and he can give.
But then, he gave a rediculous quote including dealer prep fee and other charges. When asked for details there is no response. Overall, I came to a conclusion that this dealership is very bad in handling customers. I would never buy from this dealer.
Regards,
Pissed costumer.
Ferman Mini of Tampa stands behind their word
I had a major issue with Ferman Mini of Tampa bay regarding the finance maanger who I felt treatment me rude and unfairly.
The FM, Pete, Gulotta, resolved my issue within hours and was able to reimburse me my trade in value. He was calm and courteous throughout my rage and antics. He is a true professional and is williing to keep the pride and reputation of Ferman upheld. I never thought this siuation would get better and to my surprise, the dealership stepped up and fixed my problem.
Glad to see there are people out there willing to help.
Poor business practices
I had a bad experience with this dealership, Ferman Mini of Tampa Bay, a year ago- I was ignored by reps while browsing and actually bought my car from the Orlando dealer 2 hours away instead. I came back because it was closer than driving back to Orlando.
I wanted to trade my 2010 Mini for a 2011... I decided to do this on my own because I had a great experience the first time at Mini of Orlando last November when my fiance accompanied me.
I told the Palm Harbor rep that I wanted to spend no more than $300 a month. The dealership interpreted this differently than I did apparently.
I am not a finance person so I expect the expert in this field to be knowledgeable, forthcoming, and detailed. When going over paperwork, I expected the finance guy to review everything with me in detail no matter how elementary the concept. What I conceived 'balloon payment' to mean and what it actually means are dissimilar. I didn't question this in the paperwork because I thought 'balloon payment' was the same as payoff amount without the finance fees, trade in fees, tax, tag, etc.
This sleazebag knew what he was doing because I also told him I wanted to stay under $300 a month for payments. If I didn't want to spend more than that, what made him think that an $11000 BALLOON PAYMENT was okay? He knew I had the wrong interpretation of this word and didn't go into detail about anything on the paperwork and just pointed where I needed to sign and rushed me out.
I learned my lesson to do my research fully because you can't trust people to do their jobs.... or have morals about what they are doing to people who don't know as much as them.

I've had multiple dealings with this dealer, both in purchasing cars and in later having them serviced. In almost all occurances, I've been very happy!
(I did get a service advisor once on what must have been a bad day) I've bought 2 cars from Ryan George there, and have to say he's been the moat pleasant person I have ever dealt with on any major purchase. He's been very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the process of the purchase (one was a special order car) and each time went over every feature on the car, even taking the time to make sure I knew how everything worked. After the sale, he's followed up with me to make sure all is good, and even checks in if he sees I've been in service for anything that wasn't routine maintenance to make sure all is good. I know Ferman has a standard fee to look at a potential problem (probably most dealers do) but I'm sure its not anything like $1500, so I'm calling BS on this post as it is the farthest thing from what I have ever encountered there I'm my 3+ years as a customer.
I also find it ironic that they got 3 horrible reviews here within 1 day, and otherwise no bad reviews here since 2010.
I'll be back for service, and back again to buy when I'm ready for my next car! David in Tampa
