I worked at fedders in Columbia.tn in 2000 they shut the plant down and moved to Asia I had a 401k investment with them and im really needing it in a bad way now how can I go about getting it

I have had my 18000 btu fedders for 53 years with no problems.

It is a little expensive to run not being energy efficient but still a gem. Priscilla cacciatore

Today, I was cleaning the filter on my air conditioner, and it dawned on me how old it really is. My family has lived in the same house since 1974 and had the same air conditioner since the 1980’s.

It still works perfect and it cools the whole house within a matter of minutes. We’ve only ever experienced one issue with ice coming out of it when it was on too long. Other than that it’s an outstanding product. Thank you for keeping my family cool in the summer time.

Hello, I'm looking for a manual for a fedders air/ heat unit # FESI HHD018 H 12 D I can't find it on line anywhere can you help me? TY Francine

I was given an e-mail address of airwellfedders@***.com to send in my original invoice and warranty. I have been unable to contact the company via e-mail or phone.

The warranty is 5 years. This unit should be under warranty if I can find them. I have called every telephone number available through the paperwork and their website. All that can be reached is automated voicemail.

I have not been able to speak to a person since I called this morning and the woman with whom I spoke gave me an incorrect e-mal address.

Very frustrating to deal with this company. I would never buy another one of their products.

bought a fedders late last year (2012). Installed this year and is not working.

can't get a human to answer any questions. Mail boxes are full and you can't leave a message. Sent an e-mail and it was never answered. this ac is still under warranty but I can't get any dealers in my area because there aren't any.

You are given a whole bunch of phone numbers but they all say the same thing and you can't get a live person to help. This company is a scam and I hope that they are not still selling any products.

I had purchased a Fedders 1.5T Window A/C on April'07 in Gurgaon, India.

Within three months of its use, the a/c had a gas leakage. Upon complaining with their local office, they started negotiating as to how much I was willing to pay towards service charges, when the a/c was well within the warranty period.

Eventually by the time our a/c was repaired, winter had arrived. So the device lay unused for next 7+ months.

This April when we turned on the device, in less than a week of usage, the a/c once again spotted a gas leakage. We followed up with both local agent and Fedders local office, but they say it has passed the warranty period by over a week and that I will have to pay for gas refilling. Moreover, they are not willing to offer guarantee that it will not leak again.

Since each gas fill by them is about 20% of new a/c cost itself, refilling the gas without guarantee would be like throwing good money after bad.

I had decided to purchase Fedders A/C hoping that a US brand will be better than Korean brands. But alas, this Fedders product is a made in China product of such poor quality that I am regretting my decision. On top, at Fedders India office seems to be suffering from high attrition and everytime we call, there is a new person incharge of customer care/ servicing, which does not help either.

Lastly, I have written to who's who at Fedders but no one seems to care. So much for the their tall claims on customer service.

By selling such cheap chinese products, Fedders seems to have lost its value proposition in its fight against Korean & Chinese companies.
