Be careful buying Timeshares

Maintenance Fees are like a monkey or burden on your back. The collection agency are very nasty. All they want is money and they don't care how they get it. We received this timeshare from our mother as a wedding gift but we inherited a headache and sometimes disrespect! The fees increases every year. Here are the new fees for 2020 for Atlantic Place in Atlantic City, NJ MAINTENANCE Fee: $840.10 MAINTENANCE FEES ARE DUE UPON RECEIPT A $35 Late Fee will be added on January 16, 2020 for all contracts with an unpaid balance at the close of business on January 15, 2020. Neither Atlantic Palace nor Resort Condominium International (RCI) can accept reservations and/or vacation exchange requests unless all Maintenance Fees are current. If you have any questions, wish to make a payment, or need to obtain an updated contract balance, please call our Maintenance Fee Payment Center at (800) 477-**** or (609) 347-**** x8700, Monday through Thursday 9am to 9pm and Friday 9am to 4pm. You can also make payments electronically via the web, with a Debit/Credit Card or by Check, at: https://my.equiant.com.

Horrible and Deceitful

I believe I signed up at an AMC movie cinema. Received a phone call, I won... I knew that was crap. Anyway I was told if we came down to a timeshare tour to see the hotel Flagship we would receive 4 free airline tickets on any airline, a free lunch buffet at Caesers in Atlantic City and some other items. Don't go it's a SCAM. When I received the phone call, I asked is everything absolutely FREE, they assured me it was. Although I suspected not. It rained the day of our appointment, I received a phone call asking if we were going. Again, I asked is everything absolutely FREE, they assured me it was. We felt we would take a ride, as we had no other plans. When we got there, the receptionist was a *** and rude. She assured me with her attitude that all was free also. Well the airline tickets have a CATCH, you must purchase hotel rooms with them otherwise it's worthless. This is clearly bait and switch and I complained vigorously and they sent over Heckle & Jeckle security. What A JOKE.. we were told to leave but we didn't, as I called the police. Nothing could be done... they said this happens all the time... when the weather gets nice, they hand these things out on the Boardwalk. Lastly, this is a timeshare presentation and they lie all about everything and even state they are the only timeshare in Atlantic City... more Lies. Don't go down, it is all a SCAM. The Flagship is also a dive and a horrible deal. We used the free lunch buffet at Caesers, but there is no free parking there and the parking cost us $25. We had expected this.... don't go on the tour... tell them to {{Redacted}}!

I don't need to be foul and vulgar as you suggested ; I know a scam when I see one. Simply put, a polite "no, thank you" spoken once and with conviction is usually adequate.You knew at some level that this was misleading, but your greed and desire to perform the impossible (get something for nothing) backfired and now you're angry. Too bad.
