Problem with return of premium.

I signed up for their cancer insurance in 2004. Also added was an ICU policy.

Not sure why, but I am finding a LOT of people have that added to the policy. It's been 20 years, so I cancelled the policy and since I never used it, I am awaiting my return of premium. Only thing is I won't receive a return of the ICU premium. Why, I asked.

I had no return of premium fee added for that, they answered. Evidently, you must add a separate return of premium fee in order to get it back. I noted that I paid the return of premium fee. Oh, but that only covers the cancer policy, they say.

Well, no where does it say that. And I am sure their agent never said that, so now I'm out $2400. In hindsight, I should never have bought this. Such a scam.

Used our money for 20 years and then charge us for something we didn't need. I'm sure that's how they train their agents.

User's recommendation: Do not buy their insurance. If you want a return of premium, invest the monthly fee that you waould pay them and get a actual return on your money.

Even IF there was not a return of premium on the cancer policy as well as the ICU policy, your claim that you are “out money” and “sold something you didn’t need” is ridiculous. You had twenty years of peace of mind if the policies would be needed. I can’t believe over $2400(33 cents a day) you would have such a poor attitude.

What is wrong with you. I'm so happy for you since you have the money to pay for anything you want but we would like to be able to eat and keep a roof over our head.

Not to mention our meds, car to get us to dr. appts, etc. We have to budget every penny we get. I guess $2400 is just chump change to you.

You'd probably like to see soc. sec. cuts and medicare cuts.

These are how we live. Not sure how old you are but I can just imagine your age and politics.

I’m not trying to be a jerk, thank God you didn’t need the cancer insurance and glad the same for the ICU policy. I take issue with your logic that the ICU policy’s $2400 in total premiums was a scam.

You had the assurance for 20 years of access to the full amount the ICU policy was written for. If you invested that 33 cents a day instead, it would have grown nowhere near any amount to cover anything.

Ive wrote a report on why my policy needs canceled and still have yet to be able to cancel it. Ive called 3 different time an and have gotten no answers!!

Cancel my policy

I had called 2 previous times and one lady transferred me to another as where I was hung up on . I then called again and got spoken to in Spanish. I actually got results from the young man that spoke Spanish to me . He then chose to speak American to me where I received the response I needed . All I wanted was to cancel my policy

Sending me on a phone number of circles just to be put on hold and disconnected

Can never get ahold of this stupid company I have no information on my policy hadn't for years they never send you anything in the mail I have not moved when you call their customer service they just put you on hold and you sit there for hours and hours and days and days and never can't get through to them had to close my bank account to keep them from screwing me over

Called got another number from them then called it got another number they wanted me to call then got the original number that I called from that person the operators are rude and lack customer service skills this company is one of those perimid things to cheat people-oriented do it

Lies from Reps

I have been lied to by the reps this whole time. Now I'm looking at going to the Mayo Clinic thinking I had this as my secondary with deposits to my account to help m out towards covering loss of work and living expenses, which I specify brought up in conversation and got flat out lied to my face through zoom. What ?!? I don't know what to do now that I need thousands of dollars I have to come up with in less than a month.
