Face Down Solutions - Very Unhappy and Dissatisfied

Had eye surgery for retinal detachment, this was my third surgery. Each time I had rented a special chair for keeping face down.

This chair rented from facedown solutions is the worse I have ever seen. Extremely difficult to put together video doesnt even match up in some area to the chair I received.

Spent $225 and cant even use. Company now says cannot return even though I just received today.

They are unreliable. Not delivered when promised.

Delivered night of my surgery, so no time to set up and get used to it as promised . No customer service at all, in fact very rude. They told me to call UPS to see when they would deliver. I had just had eye surgery!

*** old, uncomfortable equipment.

Totally useless. Very frustrating experience.

This company is unmindful of the needs of older Vitrectomy patients who live alone

This company charges $189 for the first week rental of a face down chair required for recovery after vitrectomy surgery. They deliver it by UPS in a carton that is about 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

They say they told me ahead that I would have to save the box and repack this very heavy face down chair and either pay Ups to pick it up, or bring it to Ups myself. I don’t remember that, and know I would never have agreed to it. I threw out the box before surgery. Forget that I am not supposed to pick up something that heavy, and certainly can’t drive, they are justifying the $95 for pick up by saying I should just go out and get another giant box!

And it’s my fault I threw the box away. Actually, since they know people are limited after surgery, or SHOULD know that, they should have told me about the $95 additional for packing and pick up when they arranged the rental.

They justify also the expense of sending someone out. So my advise: Unless you have someone who can pack this for you, find a company closer to home with more upfront information about pickup.

For those who are unfamiliar with vitrectomy : this is a delicate eye surgery whereby the vitreous humor material in the eyeball is removed in order to surgically repair other parts of the eye. It requires a minimum of 4-6 weeks of recuperation time and physical activity should be carefully undertaken when necessary but precludes any heavy work, etc.... Please allow me to wish you a full and safe recovery.
