Previous comments are accurate. Scammers!

On-line scammers use this to extract more money after you've sent them money for a product they never intend to send. Quite disturbing how sophisticated they are getting.

Scam. Acts like you need to pay penalty.

I was on my social media. Went to a page for auto parts.

One guy said he had one. I sent him the money by Paypal. Then he said he was sending it by a courier name Expressdove.com. And then told me I had to pay the shipping.

Paypal wasn't able to send the money to them for some reason. So, I asked the guy to pay for shipping. He said he would. I get would the company hadn't gotten the shipping fee.

So, I then paid them. They told me that once it is delivered I will get back 85% of the amount I sent. I sent it to them, then they tell me that since I sent it past a certain time, that I need to send them $1k, and will get the 85% back.
I knew then it was a scam.

$1k for a part that was less than $200. Yeah right.

same scam happened to me on FB marketplace. buying a Datsun parts manual which are rare.

guy had the handle Datsunzjunkyard. Leo Oscar. a bunch of back n forth send him PayPal G&S first to an email, then he refunds me, then pay different email. finally says he can only do friends and family against my better judgement.

I pay him less $. asks for my email, sends me a weir looking tracking #. it kinda looks legit but then I get an email from express dove asking for insurance of $200. 95% of it is refundable.

bunch of pressure from Leooscar to pay for the shipping. I resist. he say he will pay 1/2. on and on.

brings up a bunch of religious Scripture to make him look honest. I refuse the BS. lost $100.

but better than losing $300. guy should wasted alot of time setting this whole thing up.
