Hi i have same problem with the soup mate pro plastic bowl smelling like plastic/electrical which goes into the soup that's cooked it's that bad i can't eat the soup......don't let tv shop (or where ever you got it from) get away with not giving you a full refund (even if it's out of their 30 day money back if your not satisfied, this is only their policy and it means nothing when it comes to the law) By law they have to give you a full refund if the product you received does not match the product at the point of sale, when this product is advertised it says it makes delicious mouth watering soup, that's where you get them! as the product i received made soup that tastes like plastic and is inedible!
i asked them for a refund they said no as i was out of the 30 days, i am now going through the office of fair trading and won't give up till i get all my money back, make sure we all do this as there has been so many people not satisfied.
My soupmate also smells and after a short time no longer works :(
