$3000 and didn't do what I brought it in for

I bought my RV here in 2017. Every few years I bring it in for a complete checkup.

They really push up-sells hard in the service department. This last time I was very clear, I'm open to upgrades but I'm crossing the country and need everything checked out. Like always, they pushed thousands in upgrades. I did the roof seal, upgraded roof vents, "battery service", etc., to tune of over $3000.

When I picked up the camper it wasn't washed (I had paid $150 for a wash). They tore the awning off towing another camper past it in the service bay and had to replace it. When I went inside the camper it was filthy with dust and bugs and the smoke detector was beeping for low battery. When we tried to hook it up to travel the battery was dead.

When I checked the propane tanks one of the hose fittings was broken and hanging. We had to cancel the trip, the camper was simply not trustworthy.

I had to go over the camper myself and replace lines, replace the battery, and ops check everything that I had paid Expore USA thousands to do. They focus so hard on upsells that they don't do what you paid for.

User's recommendation: If you use them, block the upsells and force them to do what you are paying for.

Asked for full payment prior to viewing

Buyer caution. I am not the type of person to leave reviews but in this case I must.

We are from Canada travelling 30 hours drive time. Agreed upon a price until they expected full payment wired prior to us viewing the unit. We were perfectly ok with a reasonable deposit and full payment once viewed which protects from scammers in my opinion. Salesmen said they could not do without full wire transfer as this is their busy time and they may miss out on a sale.

Big risk on our part trusting a dealer we know nothing about. Explore USA has no risk involved in this deal once we have wired full funds. As a business owner risk is part of the game but not when one sided. Do Not Send them or anyone else money with out confirmation of who they are or if the product advertised is even on the lot.

The whole deal seemed shady and high pressure. To many red flags leaning towards scam.

  • Asking for full payment without seeing unit

This is the worst business I Have ever had the misfortune of encountering

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My first RV purchase was through this company. I can NOT expound on how atrocious the entire experience is.

I specified that I did NOT want a huge RV, nothing over 30 feet since this is my first one, the salesman assured me that he would keep me under the 30 feet. Guess what ladies and gentleman, My RV is a whole 36 feet!! Two of the three papers specifying the length of said RV in the contract state that it is under 30 feet, one does say that it is 36. Misleading much???

When I picked it up the technician told me he normally installs the hitch 2 inches below the recommended installation, I said he's a professional, well he wasn't. My hitch was installed too low which led to a blow out on the first time towing it somewhere the very next day. When I tried to contact the company the next week to say hey, this isn't what I asked for, they told me it would be a trade in and I was out of luck. Well I kept looking and that's when I discovered that the paperwork is misleading and doesn't match up for the length of the RV.

When I called to speak to a manager about this discrepancy I was told it would be a trade in and asked if I would like to speak to the original salesman who lied to me about the RV, ummm who would want that?. The title was not in my name at this time, which I also specified, the next day I called again and spoke to a different manager, explained the whole situation, again, about the different paperwork and not yet titled in my name, he informed me someone would call me back shortly. That didn't happen (are you shocked? I was not).

Another fun thing to note, this company does not have names/numbers/emails listed on their website other than names of the top three people. So even though I attempted heroically to find emails of higher ups I could send my concerns to I was unsuccessful. A week later I emailed the salesman that I originally purchased it from because that is the only email I can find, and he had a superior call me back. That is the ONLY person and time this company has called back.

This person gave me his email and asked me to send him the documents. I did. That was last Tuesday. I havent heard from them since.

So today (11/30/22) I decided I would just cancel the warranty to reduce my loan.

Called them to ask about that and once again talked to Mr. Adolfo. He informed me that someone would be in touch with me shortly. SHOCKER.

No ONE has been in touch with me and no one will be. I also attempted to email the aforementioned person and he has also not responded. I do not understand how this business has continued going for more than a couple of months if this his how atrocious their customer service is. DO NOT GO HERE.

THEY WILL LIE.

THEY WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS. THIS IS A SCAM BUSINESS

My service advisor did not try hard enough to get things covered on my extended warranty

Original review updated Oct 05, 2022

My service advisor my trailer in and decided to go on vacation .After his return he and did not even try to get in line for repair or even have a person look at it for parts or repairs . It's now been 3 months and my camper is still there and I had to get the service advisor s boss evolved to get things covered or even considered.

All in all first time customers not happy with the service .

He did not call me for updates at all. I chased him down many time by just showing up at the shop and talking with actual people that do the work

( the mechanic) to find out what if anything had been down.

User's recommendation: Keep on the service advisor for up dates. I had to call my guys about 3 to 5 if I wanted an update because he would never return phone calls I would go up their and talk with the mechanic first to see he was was going to blow smoke up my ***

Take Advantage of Seniors

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought my first motor home from ExploreRV last March. It was a 2019 model with low mileage.

Since purchasing, I have had it back in for electrical repair twice and finally fixed elsewhere to the tune of $1400 after their tech blew the electric. Terrible service.

I think they saw an old woman coming and took complete advantage. Be very careful when buying or getting service from this company.

New RV Defect - 75 days at dealer for repair and not yet fixed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

So went to speak to our RV dealer (Explore RV USA) today about our Cruiser RV that are with them for warranty repairs. It has been 75 days and we need it for a trip at the end of the month (from 26th).

The kitchen sink fell into the cabinet and spilled about half a sink of water into the cabinets.

Sink was only fixed into position by 2 tiny “brackets”. No glue or anything else that was supposed to keep it in position.

Service advisor not available but then spoke to the manager. He says my unit will be ready for pick up on the 26th but that the repairs will not be done. So we will not be able to use the kitchen.

I asked if they have a similar unit we could use and he said no, we should our unit just with some limitations - we cannot use the kitchen.

That means no sink, or cabinets, no stove or oven, or food preparation space in the RV. Also there may still be some mold in there.

He also said that he will get his Regional Manager to contact me.

I am not getting any feedback anymore from the manufacturer nor from the dealer (or their regional office).
