Getting parts and information
I have called Explorer on three times and they were most helpful. They helped me find various missing parts on my van and were able to help me get in contact with the right vendors even when they were no longer suppliers.
I did however have some problems when I called the Explorer Parts information because the search on line takes you to a company in Texas. These guys quoted me almost triple to cost with bogus shipping because they were clueless.
I suggested to the "real" Explorer to actually provide follow-up contact information including a phone number and the name of the person that is assisting in the transaction for easy follow-up.

Sunroof leaks, backup camera works only sporadically, tires had flat spots and could not be balanced
GMC Savana explorer van. Sunroof leaks.
Returned to dealer who kept it for 3 weeks before telling me that they could not find a firm to fix the roof. Wound up taking to a local trim specialist, who replaced the sunroof. In the process he noted that there is insufficient support for the sunroof. The backup camera doesn't work when it's cold or rainy.
The dealer worked on it and said it was fixed but I still have the problem. When I drove 65 mph there was a vibration in the steering wheel.
when I brought the van in the dealer said that the tires couldn't be balanced because there were flat spots. Dealer sent for new set of tires, but the new set also couldn't be balanced.
After waiting for almost 4 weeks the salesman finally have the dealer take the wheels off another van and replace mine. The front bumper was loose and sent to a body shop for repair. I discovered that the bumper is attached to the body by two sided tape-nothing else.
I suppose that in time the adhesive will dry out and the bumper will fall off. I feel that Explorer does a half-*** job of conversion and I definitely would NOT recommend that you deal with this manufacturer!

Agreed. Have a 2020 and the conversion by Explorer is horrible.
Multiple things have broken, towing performance with their “heavy duty tow package” is seriously lacking.
We’re in there every month fixing something new and their sales team is massively unprofessional. I’ve personally witnessed their lead western sales rep tell a disgruntled customer to “drive your van off a cliff” and “please die.” We’re about to sell ours, less than a year after purchase.
Trashy review from a trash talking person. Obviously both useless.
