I would not recommend this company unless you have absolutely no other choice and are willing to bend over and take it up the a**. I've struggled back and forth with this company and I'm pretty sure they have an a-hole list where they give difficult customers slower speeds. Internet went out 2 Feb 2017. Called to get the tech support. He ran the test and said most likely the modem, but they could not send a replacement, had to have a service call. We get an appointment for the 6th and get stood up. When we called, no one could "find" the appointment, but they had the tech call that said the internet didn't work????? Just signed up for exede was promised to have off peak time and that was a lie. I ate thru 27 GB in 6 days either something is wrong with my online school or this company is fraud. The system was installed in my basement which does not get all service bars in my upstairs bedroom the signal is weak and my computer keeps crashing while I am doing my homework. Always have a problem getting on line! When the installation was done the man that did it assured me we had a very good signal. At first it was, but then it has steadily gone down, which was the reason I got rid of HUGHESNET, and chose Exede, but they're just as bad, signal has gone from good to bad! Had Hughesnet which was a nightmare. Paid over $90.00 a month and never got the service they promised, but was locked into a two year contrat!!! And it looks like I chose another internet service that does not provide what it promised but still expects to be paid for crappy service and I'm locked into their services if thats what you call it for two years!!!! hi my name is thelma turner and i just got off the phone with exede and they have taken my xmas money to... i had to cancell my card to keep them from taking more money off it..... thier customer care service cancelled my account and now they r saying that i have to start all over again.... and pay them to do it all over...... so yes im looking for a lawyer to..... if u have any thing to add or help im in.......... my story is to long to put on... Just got off the phone with Technical support at Exede internet service to complain of slow internet speeds. I have the 12 MBPS 150GB plan. The last two nights my speeds have been 3 MBPS at best. The person I talked to tonight tested the speed himself and stated yes they are slow. But they is nothing I can do, It's caused by congestion. I said I'm paying for 12MBPS and he said Exede can provide up to 12MBPS but not responsible for slower speeds... Read more
