Poor buyer experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Purchased the car unseen as an out of state buyer. Car was very scratched when I got it.

Paid for the car 45 days ago in full. Still waiting for the title. Alex from accounts called me an was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Use of abusive language and hung up.

DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR HERE. There are plenty of other dealers.

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM EXCLUSIVE MOTORS!!!

I purchased a used Subaru from Alex at Exclusive motors at 2499 Arden Way, Sacramento, on Sunday May 7, 2023.

The car started knocking badly when I drove at a higher rpm.

I checked the fluids and found it low on oil, anti-freeze and windshield fluid. Odd but I filled all fluids. It was still knocking at higher rpm so I made an appointment to have a qualfied Subaru mechanic fully inspect it. Finally, June 2nd, the day of the appointment arrived.

The inspection diagnosis was not good. The car was leaking fluids, had cracks, and other damage. He recommended an engine replacement due to the rod knock, as well as other items, be replaced. I called exclusive motors.

Lisa answered. She spoke with George who advised her to have me speak with the roman at the service department. She told me, Roman, with the service department, was in a meeting but would call me back. Over 2-hours later, I still hadnt received a call from anyone at exclusive motors, so I phoned.

I advised roman of the inspection results. I explained the problems the mechanic found with the car and read him the inspection report. I even told him the mechanic offered to speak with him about the inspection results. Roman became a bit agitated stating I hadn't purchased an extended warranty and how they fully inspected the car, etc.

Finally he appeared to have calmed a little and said perhaps the work they had done had faulty parts which may have failed. We agreed to have the car be brought in on Wednesday June 7th so they could correct/replace any faulty 'under warranty' items that might have failed. Unfortunately, I never made that or any other appointment. the car broke down on the freeway and had to be towed home that very day, Friday june 2nd!!

Today it's still sitting in my driveway since its not driveable. The post inspection mechanic had advised me the car could breakdown anytime due to the issues but he didn't know when it would happen, just that it would. I sent an email to Roman and a text advising the car had broken down. To this day, not 1 followup text, email or call.

No concern whatsoever for a customer who purchased a vehicle with them, was given devastating inspection results and now has an undriveable lemon of a car. I just purchased the car May 7th and it died June 2nd.

The positive reviews on yelp is why i decided to purchase through exclusive motors. HUGE MISTAKE.

1ST issue I had was with a faulty RecovR anti-theft device I purchased with them when I purchased the car. They FINALLY got back to me and issued a refund for the faulty anti-theft device but ONLY after I deleted my yelp review.

George stood there in the lobby with the cash in his hands until I removed it.

So, even if i had purchased an extended warranty for the car, I wouldn't have purchased the highest tier. I was already paying quite a lot for this car.

This vehicle shouldn't ever been sold to anyone in its condition! LEMON

Never Refunded Monies Owed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased a vehicle from Exclusive Motors from George (salesman). I live in Nevada and he added NV taxes, license and registration fees to the price of the car.

I was also charged CA taxes. I thought the issue has been resolved only to be told another person is handling the refund. After speaking with Judy and going over everything again, I thought it was resolved. Many months later I still have yet to receive the refund (I kept in contact with Judy).

I was told by Judy, Tish was supposed to send the refund, which I never received. Upon contacting Tish, she initially said she would get the check out. Then I am contacted by George who claims to have no knowledge of this.

Then proceeds to send me the copy of the contract with the purchase price of the car, which is higher due to George writing the Nevada tax fees in the price of the car, and now claims that was the purchase price of the car. This is at best shoddy business practice, and I believe it is unlawful to make false statements on a contract?

Avoid!!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM Exclusive Motors at 2707 N Hayden Island Dr

Portland OR, 97217.

Sold my pregnant wife a car with a damaged air bag and refused to fix it, even after a certified mechanic stated it was damaged before purchase. Purchased vehicle and dealer stated car was in exceptional condition. The next day, the vehicles air bag light came on and would not go off. Took the vehicle to a mechanic and stated the air bag impact sensor was broken which would result in the air bag not deploying in an accident.

Also the passenger seat belt was missing which is another safety concern. Mechanic than stated these issues were a problem prior to my purchase of the vehicle. I spoke with Exclusive Motors regarding these issues and they stated they would call me back to address this.

They never did. I have called them continuously and have left a message without any response since.

This is by far the worst dealership I have ever seen. Their mechanic is a joke and barely knows how to change oil.

The owner is even more of a joke and if he wasn't a 500lb giant I'm sure customers have been so mad he woulda got his *** beat 20 times. U must have down syndrome if u buy a car from these people.

I bought a vehicle from Exclusive Motors in Portland, OR that had expired tags. I payed for title transfer and registration at dealership.

After repeated calls asking where the tags were, I was told I had to pay for the registration and title transfer &then would get a refund. After so many false promises, I highly doubt this will happen.

Additionally, the dealer requires $1000 down to save the vehicle and claims they can keep your money if financing falls through.

After having an attorney view the paperwork, they can't keep your money and it even states that in their contract. Don't fall for their BS.
