Taking advantage of young people that are trying to establish credit when they put down a some money and then put his payments on a rent to own which he would have doubled or tripled what the reclinni

Never go back to crooks ,put my son who wanted to establish credit after a good down payment and they put him on a rent to own on a reclinning bed which he would have to pay double or triple of what the bed was worth.You guys take advantage of young first time buyers

Poor warranty

We bought over $30k of furniture here about a year ago. After a year, the furniture quality is OK - no better or worse than most places - the same veneer over particle board everyone else has (desk, shelves, dresser).

The mattress has been awesome, admittedly. But here's the thing - avoid the useless warranty crap. They pitch it hard, telling you it will repair or replace your furniture no matter what happens to it. I call BS.

We got a tear on our couch within a month of purchase, file a claim, waited for response, filed again, were told we then filed to late, appealed with evidence of first timely claim and won, and have been 'waiting on parts' for over a year. If anyone from Exclusive Furniture wants to reach out to me, feel free - my info is on file - David Cribbs.

This is the review I left. I would like to know how you have 4.8 stars with so many bad reviews and why you stopped responding to bad reviews, was it too overwhelming?

I recently purchased a fairly expensive leather couch with powered recliners from Exclusive Furniture.

I made it known to them that I needed the recliners to run on battery packs because I have no walls to put it against for electrical outlets. The recliners work on batteries just a SLIGHT issue. The chaise which is uncomfortable if not reclined is completely sealed and you are unable to put a battery in without cutting open the bottom of your couch. Which would void the warranty you pay for.

J the salesman and Greg the manager were suppose to see what could be done about it but it has been a couple months and very little communication has taken place, except to make excuses. I should have known not to purchase from some place that will not take returns for any reason. They obviously know their products have issues. FYI don't buy furniture here unless you want to have issues that won't ever be resolved.

I would guess all the great reviews are family members or people they paid!

I forgot to mention the couch also does not fit together properly. Also it makes a squeaky rubbing sound when you recline, poor quality.

Technician came, unable to access the battery in the chaise without cutting it open.

Quality of the furniture and customer service if you have issues after your purchase! $4200.00 later I have a leather couch that makes noise everytime you recline. Doesn't line up and has no access to the battery in the chaise, which I told them I needed because I don't have a wall nearby to plug it in. They do not care after the sale!! The technician was just here and said, yes the only way to the battery is through cutting the bottom of the couch open. Really you should not have to cut open a brand new couch.

Furniture repair

I bought a sectional sofa set in March of 2020, by October one of the sofa's was broken. There was a repair guy sent out to fix the sofa in October, however in July the sofa is broke again. At this point the couch is longer under the company 1yr warranty. I personally feel like I got screwed over because the sofa broke 5 months after purchase. I have spoken to a customer service representative and was informed there's nothing that can be done.

I purchased a reclining sofa in March, 2021 and it is already falling apart. I am the only person sitting on it so it is not from too much use. I tried to call and complain but they don't care. Bottom line for them is get it sold and get the customer out the door. Move on to the next person.

On Oct 31 bought a floor sample from Richmond store and I went to pick it up at their warehouse and did not give me the table and after 2 hours I left. We agreed that they will deliver it and they delivered when I was not home; so after I got home I inspected and saw that the table and chairs had scratches that they were going to fix. Also, found that the bench was broken and they had fixed it with a piece of metal and one of the chairs's leg supports was missing.

Poor Customer Service

I purchased a living room set including a recliner in October on 2019. In June the electrical on my recliner stopped working.

Since I purchased the warranty I called them to file a claim. I was told to send in a warranty claim including pictures which I did the same day. A month later they sent out a tech to take pictures again. He told me he would send them in and they would order the part that was not working.

I called them 4-5 weeks later since no one had called or came by to fix the chair. I was told that the parts had not been ordered and they would order them now (which never happened). I waited and waited and still nothing. In August a customer service rep from Exclusive called me and said since it was during the first year that they take care of the warranty items.

She asked me to email her pictures of what was wrong with my recliner. So I did that day (since I already had them from June when I sent then to other warranty company). A few weeks later a tech comes out and what does he do he takes pictures again (4 sets of pictures at this point and still a broken chair). He told me he would order the parts that day and it would take 2-4 weeks to come in.

I called in September to find out the status of the parts and was told they were ordered on August 14th and would not be in until November (Due to Covid). I called back on September 17th to speak with a manager (Emily) and explained my frustrations. I asked her if she would just put in a request for an exchange on my chair. She told me she would ask and let me know the next day.

Today is almost a week later and still have not heard anything. I would NEVER purchase anything from Exclusive Furniture again. They have the WORST customer service.

My recliner does not work without the electrical box working. So I have had a chair that was not cheap for almost a year and 8 months in it stops working and I cannot get it repaired or replaced.

bought couple of bedroom and living room furnitures from grand parkway location with a promise to deliver the items 3 weeks after...only for the delivery driver to show up with a partial order on the day of the scheduled delivery...this location refused to apologize for the unavailable item even though they gave us a call the day before delivery to confirm everything they were bringing....sad part is, I gave out all of our living furniture few days before the scheduled delivery date...now exclusive furniture left us to sit and eat on the floor...A little bit of communication and apology could have helped the situations but instead they are playing the role of a victim...they only have sweet mouth b4 we made the purchase but failed miserably with their promises....

No this issue has not been resolved it's not my fault that your manager at the Cypress location did not clarify the difference that we owe.The amount that was given to us was paid and no other contact until I came in the store on today 10/12 all I got was text messages from about 3 weeks ago.This is ridiculous I will never deal with this Furniture ever and will let all the people I know not to shop here a RIP off

I spent all of my bonus money on a sectional here. They delivered a sectional with cheap cushions not what I sat on in store as confirmed by delivery guy. They were out in a month. Took 3 months to get 3 cushions rather than the 5 I needed. My second request started in August of 2019. Its February of 2020 and after numerous calls, texts, and emails I dont have them. I am so upset. This couch is cheap and ripping...they are horrible. I should have stayed with Gallery furniture. My old couch from there is in better condition at 5 years old!

Bedbugs in the beds

I have called spoke with management and corporate because I purchased a bedroom set and my mother purchased a bedroom set and after they were delivered and set up we got bedbugs! Never had bedbugs before and we are very clean people. They will not assist with this for a unknown reason and the lady I spoke with acted nonchalant and was rude. I spent cash money as well as my mother on the same day. I will never go here again or recommend anyone else here seeing we are out of thousands of dollars to buy bedbugs. I will be contacting my attorney and the Atkins army about this issue since there is no help with this place!

I visited the Humble location a few weeks ago in need of a living room set. In the past I have purchased furniture from this location. So I decided on a set I like. My daughter was also with me. She just moved into her new apartment. I figured I'll purchase her a dining room set. So I'm looking at about a 6,000 dollar purchase. They wanted to charge me for two deliveries. Technically we had two deliveries. I asked if its anyway way they could waive one of the delivery fee. He went to the manager. Came back and said the manager said he couldn't do it. I work in retail myself. Matter fact in the delivery department. On several occasions we have to waive the delivery fee to take care of our customer. They lost a 7000 dollar sale over 100 dollars delivery fee. The next day I get a text message from the salesman. Asking to come in to make the purchase. Sorry I will never do business with this business again.

Hi,

I procured furniture from Exclusive furniture and financed through Synchrony Bank (Exclusive furniture offered) and they said that offer is for 5 year for zero free interest and hence I asked them to set up accordingly. Recently I got a bill from Synchrony bank for Interest amount 1400$.

When I contacted the Exclusive furniture they said that the promotion was for 2 years and not 5 years. I tried to explain to them that if the promotion was for 2 years than why I will keep the monthly payment across 5 years and not 2 years but they asked me to reach out to Bank.

When I called Synchrony Home they said that my promotion ended and since I did not pay the full amount -( Let me tell that I was still paying them minimum payment as per automatic payment set up) and hence they charged interest for 1400$ for last 2 years. I told them that first thing no one informed about this condition and again as always they kept on saying I have to pay.

My furniture cost is 2000 and they ask me to pay interest for 1400$.

They are making money by cheating customer and that too in the Covid situation when people are already dealing with bigger crisis and these companies was not to make money by forcing them to pay something which was not genuine.

I told them that if Bank would have called me I would have paid the total amount as I was in impression that have 5 years of promotion.

Bank asked me to again talk to Exclusive furniture..and this was going back and forth. I offered to Bank that I can pay their principle 100% now and they can close the account but instead they said I still need to pay the Interest

I cannot pay 1400 interest for 2000$ furniture and hence asked Bank to do what they feel good but I am not paying any interest.

Seriously these people are forcing people in depression and tension.

Horrible Customer Service

We purchased furniture from them after waiting for hours for them to process my financing, we left the store with them saying that the furniture was going to be delivered, then the financial institution they use contact me to confirm that they open to credit lines, two different cards, dealing with them on the phone has been very hectic, they put you on hold for at least 30 min every time or they just end up hanging up. They don't have established delivery schedules they kept switching the time!!!!!
