Door Hinges Need Replacing

The door hinges on the front door have dropped which means that the door is not working properly. I would like them replaced. The door was fitted as well as some double glazed windows approximately 12 years ago so it is out of warranty.

User's recommendation: they are very slow to respond.

We’re good, now very poor

Everest Home Improvements - We’re good, now very poor
In the late 1990s we had a new front door, and a few years later some windows. Everest in this period lived up to their catchphrase. In 2016 we had a conservatory fitted by the Everest Conservatory company - bad move that dragged on for 6 months. That particular subsidiary went into administration and no claims can be made at all. In 2018 we had more windows fitted by Everest Windows; we figured that as their windows were good and they were separate from the bust conservatory subsidiary, that we were still in good hands. Yesterday, we noted in one of our bedrooms, that the outer pane of a triple glazed unit was cracked; presumably due to the recent heat wave, no problem we thought, only 4 years old. How wrong we were - they declared in June 2022 that they went into administration and all guarantees would not be honoured. They then tell you that you can get a survey for £125 but that does not rectify the defectmay as well just go somewhere else then. There seems to be a cynical pattern here; the company continue to trade and then periodically; when their poor standards come to light, they go into administration and then seemingly start all over again with the same people. You may be lucky and have a trouble free process but if you think that the lifetime guarantee or the 10 year promise is something to give you confidence moving forward then you are entering the lottery and hoping for the jackpot.

User's recommendation: Don’t go anywhere near this company.

Faulty letter box on door

Contacted Everest and they wanted a fee to come and have a look. The unit still has two years left of warranty but they still want me to pay which I refuse to do as the warranty is still in place.

User's recommendation: Keep away from Everest.

Everest Home Improvements Customer Care Review from Sutton, England

Everest windows advertise ALL the time on TV and currently have a sale on so I keep hearing during every ad' break so I called for an estimate for new doors and windows. Their logo is "fit the best, fit Everest" and they are supposedly one of the largest window replacement Co's in the UK yet they have nobody in my area who can come and give me an estimate. If I lived out in the sticks it would be completely understandable but i'm just 20 mins from Wembley Stadium in N W London. I'm a 30 minute drive from Central London, 20 minutes from Hampstead, 20 minutes from Watford and 5 minutes from Stanmore tube station. Totally unbelievable and they're probably one of the most expensive window companies out there as well. The lady I spoke to said we're always recruiting for new sale ppl so when we have someone in your area, we'll be in touch! You'll have to imagine what I replied!!!
