On June 24, 2019, I paid Ever dry $22,440 to waterproof my basement. I've had water in my basement during every hard rain since that date -- six times.

The first time, the entire basement was flooded with a couple inches of water. I lost a $750 love seat, a carpet, and an antique steamer trunk with all the original attachments. I had to pay a junk-removal firm to remove the items. I called Everdry twice and never received a response.

The second time, it took them nearly a month to respond.

They have "fixed" a different problem each time, making my basement a mess each time, and I'm still getting water in my basement. I have several other complaints, but they are too long to list.

This company does sloppy sub-par work at best

This company first off didn't do the work the salesman said they would and then the work they did perform looks terrible. They just slop cement everywhere and don't even try to make it look nice.

My 6 year old daughter could do a better job. They said they take pride in making things look nice and cleaning up and it couldn't be farther from the truth.

They have one solution, regardless of your problem.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I called them in for an estimate on some basement seepage I had. I explained I am trying to sell my house of 19 years and that I was just looking to have the minimum done.

The salesperson said he understood and that in order to give me the best option, he would need to cut into my finished drywall on 2 walls. He did this, and ran his air-quality test.

All this resulted in a very professional looking multi-page report with a quote of $32,000. He explained that he would not even entertain a less expensive option because their warranty was on the line.

My biggest complaint, he didn't hear a word I said, destroyed my drywall for no apparent reason because he knew full well he was going to pitch me their $32,000 solution.

Found another contractor to do an inside drain tile solution for $7,000.

Would NEVER recommend this bait and switch swindling organization to anyone.

Out basement is Neverdry with Everdry

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I would not recommend Everdry to do any waterproofing work. I have been dealing with this Company every six months and still having problems.

I am covered by the warranty forever so I feel that they go the cheapest route to make repairs. I have had to take off of work several times for someone to come and evaluate the issue & then again to have the work done. This is not only time consuming but a burden.

Everdry has stressed me out tremendously. I just want the job done correctly.

Everdry

I had work done in my basement with Everdry. They did an ok job but afterwards you pay $50 to keep the warranty every YEAR.

It should have a warranty anyway attached if your paying $17,000 on the job itself. I don't think that was fair.

Totally unprofessional

made an appointment they were dead set that both my wife and I be at the appointment despite having 3 young kids we were able to arrange a time where we both could meet. Received a call a day prior to confirm the appointment and was basically interrogated about what we were looking for.

If I knew what was wrong I wouldn't be calling them. The day of the appointment heard nothing at 2:05 for a 2:00 appointment received a call that they were running behind and wanted to know if they can reschedule.

I told the guy he was totally unprofessional and he blamed it in being just too busy. I will never USE this company and tell everyone I know on this planet that they stink!

7 out of 10 for Everdry Waterproofing Wisconsin. Have some minor complaints.

Just wanted to quickly report my experience with Everdry Waterproofing. I see a lot of negative complaints on here, and I understand that. I know everyone has a differing experience depending on their situation, I mean, I guess that's what you deal with in an industry like home waterproofing. Overall, I had a good experience with Everdry. Had some leaks, but they seemed to have worked themselves out and on the average rainstorm my basement is dry, and that's why I had it done.

I would however like to make a few points, maybe to help better their service in the future. One, the prices were a bit high. I understand the times are changing, but maybe you could offer more coupons? Two, the guys left is a bit dusty while they were working. The end of job cleanup was great, but I was having some dust issues while they were working- maybe try to keep it clean a little better. And finally, no one told me about any battery powered backup pump until my main sump pump went out. Had they told me about it off the bat, I would've had them install it while they were doing the initial work! Luckily, I hadn't moved many of my things back into the basement, so it wasn't a huge disappointment.

It's been some time since the installation, and like I said, I'm pleased overall. Apart from my few minor complaints, service was fair and prompt, and I feel like I got the full value for what I paid for. My basement is dry, and I have one less thing to worry about.

Find out for yourself- you can always have them look at your basement for free. Shop around, do your research, whatever you decide- having your basement dry and healthy is worth the investment. Good luck.

Everdry Waterproofing Wisconsin

I just wanted to say, dealing with Everdry has been the worst nightmare you could ever possibly imagine for me. They have been out to my home over 30 times in the last 2 years and no matter what they do it never seems to fix my water problems. I have had the people from this company lie to me, swear at me on the phone, never show up for appointments, show up for an appointment late, show up for an appointment without tools or anything to do the job with. And of course the list goes on and on.

It is now to the point where they won't even come out to service my home anymore. (So much for their lifetime warranty) Oh buy the way if you have basement stairs that's an excuse for them not to fix the water problems. If you have basement windows that's another excuse. They told me my windows weren't sealed so that was part of my problem. Funny thing is they were suppposed to seal my windows and never did. The only window that wasn't sealed has never leaked but they still used it as an excuse. They cracked my basement floor up and told me it was like that before they started. They punctured *** in my oil tank and I had to install a new one. Guess what they refused to cover it stating it was rusty and not there fault. It never leaked before they came out and started beating around it with hammers and trying to chisel and shove plastic behind it.

I have just about given up, I took out a second mortgage on my home to pay for a basement repair, and guess what, it was done improperly. Honestly this is very frustrating nobody will do anything to help me about it. I have contacted the Better Buisness Bureau, The Department of Consumer protection, and even the Federal Trade Commission. They all tell me the same thing. They can't get involved in personal disputes with a company, and that the only thing they can do is document it so that other consumers don't have the same problems.

Guess what I see allot of people who have similar problems. There are hundreds of complaints out there about this company. All I can say is I just hope everyone else who has dealt with this company and is having a problem with put in a complaint too. Whether it be your basement still leaks, there high pressure sales tactics, or whatever else they might have done to you please put in your complaints. The number for the Federal Trade Commision is 1-87*-382-****. Please make a phone call if you have a complaint. This company needs to be stopped. From what I have read there have been 13 lawsuits against this company for sexual harrassment against women, numberous complaints to the BBB. I know there is currently 6 in the state of Wisconsin. I have heard rumor of a lawsuit against them in the state of Indiana, and as you probably know the list goes on.

So here's the deal, the Federal Trade Commission tells me that they need to establish a pattern of complaints before they will do anything. Guess what every phone call they get makes a difference. Please speak up make a call if you have had a problem with Everdry regardless of the state you live in.

I have tried seeking legal action but I am having a hard time finding a lawyer to represent me with out giving them thousands of dollars down and most lawyers don't even seem to want to represent me. I even have proof that they system they installed is failing. I have had multiple other contracters come look at my basement. I even had a company come out and use infrared technology to show where the water was coming through behind the walls since I couldn't see through the plastic they installed. They also told me I had a ton of mold from my basement being so damp still. After all this and its still not enough proof according to the few lawyers I have spoken too.

I am disgusted that this company is still allowed to practice buisness, and that nobody is doing a thing to stop them. They need to be seen for what they are before more people like myself are made to suffer.

I too am a home owner and made the mistake of putting a home equity loan to pay for a service that doesn't work. 18000 yes that's 18 with 3 zeros we've had constant promises broken that they would come out to fix the problem but all we get are scheduling conflicts and it might rain so we cant do it today.

Yep, I've been a customer of Everdry for years, and they've always stood behind their work! Don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch!

Don't know the full story behind this complaint, but obviously not the same experience as everybody whose dealt with this company.

They did a good job on mine.

I made an error in my typing which I would like to retract. What I meant to say is that links to pictures provided show water coming in at multiple different places that ARE NOT my bilco doors or my basement windows. So as you can see my basement is still not properly fixed. EVERDRY offers a lifetime warranty but as the pictures show they are not honoring that warranty as I still have water coming into my basement. Instead they make excuses stating my basement windows or bilco doors are the issue. Yes my Bilco doors leak, but thats not the only area of my basement that leaks althought they want you to think that. Also they never made any attempt to repair or seal my basement windows. Yes my windows are old but I do not have water coming into them. All But one of my basement windows are permanently sealed and the one window that I can open and close has never given me a problem or let any water in. These are all just excuses buy the company not to properly fix my basement.

Here are statistics that I found on the wisconsin BBB site. As you can see its more than 5 or 6 complaints only one of which was mine.

And a lawsuit against them for sexual harrasment is not Everdry of Wisconsin. Get your facts straight.

and thats 6 complaints in 3 YEARS, to of which are this guys.

For God sake his house is over 100 years old and he hasnt had water other than through his old windows and bilco doors which he knew wasnt coverd under his warenty wich says this in bold letters on the back. and the did try to take care of the windows and doors even though the need to be replaced there old too.b

Guest

I know this guy ,the BBB and consumer protection has said that his complaints are not invaild. Most of his complaint has nothing to do with Everdry of Wisconsin, Why did he bring up Indiana??

This guy has 100 year old windows and a bilco Door[outside door that lead to his basement] that are allowing water in his basement. The 30 times Everdry has been there include the 8 days it took to do his job and, all the times he wanted a face to face and wouldnt let them do work.

Everdry has offered to do work that is not under warenty and the Spadys know this. People like this make it hard for the rest of us to get our complaints heard.

I worked for their corporate office in macedonia ohio and was a production manager for the everdry in saginaw mi.from the start they are a rip off. The estimator (salesman) will give homeowner a price, lets say 11,000 dollars.

If h.o. says no way they say let me call my boss and see what he can do.they come back and say we can give you a discount for being on a standby notice of 24 to 48 hours to start the work. We can do it for 10,500. H.o.

still says no. He then calls his boss again. He tells h.o. great news were overstocked on materials due to some jobs that cancelled because financing fell thru we can save u an additional $1,500.

H.o. says great I can do that! They sign contract. The salesman also has them sign work card agreeing materials are going to be ordered and theyre aware they cost $2,500.

They have a 3 day recission they sign (they are told this means they only have 3 days to cancel if they change their minds and if they cancell out of this window theyre responsible to pay for the materials they had to order) this is ***! The materials only cost around $350 and if someone does cancel all manager has to do is an inventory adj. They charge h.o. $1500 for the "pressure relief patented system" a crock with lid a submersible sump pump with gravel packed around it.

The crock cost them $20 and pump is around $85-90 only takes technicians about one hour labor to dig . Total cost for system is at least $150 they charge $1500 for the ez-breathe it only costs them $350 I took one apart all it was was an aluminum housing unit with a small fan in it. Its "guaranteed to expelled mold moisture spores pet dander.had numerous complaints from homeowners still having mold issues and humidity with the unit installed (yes it was installed properly) they use scare tactics about black mold with homeowners being exposed to it. But if breathing the mold is so dangerous why is it that the workers who work in moldy basements on a daily basis arent wearing respirators.

(If the company isn't providing workers with proper safety equipment then this would be an Osha violations and a lawsuit. Just like asbestos)

I'm struggling to figure out why this poster thinks anyone should listen to a disgruntled ex-employee bash their former employer.

It is also apparent that this disgruntled ex-employee doesn't understand that MOST costs of goods and services are marked up substantially in order to pay for things like - oh, I dunno - this guy's SALARY (which, by the sound of it, he didn't earn).

If this is the best that pissed consumer can do to bash a company, they should seriously reconsider their reason for being.

Everdry Wisconsin's idea of a finished basement

I will let the pictures Speak for themselves, but buyer beware of this company. These pictures are what my basement looks like after multiple attempts by Everdry to fix it. They now refuse to refund me and will no longer come out to my home to fix the issues. Look at the mold growing, the rust, on the oil tank and the water coming in. Keep in mind this what they consider a finished product.

We had spent close to 16k with Everdry to "Waterproof" our basement close to 3 years ago. Making such an investment seemed to be a great idea because it's something that needed to be done, and would hopefully be worth it.

Last week, water was coming from out of the sump pump, around all the outside bottoms of the floors and walls. We ended up having close to 5" of standing water inside of our basement. Some items were ruined that can never be replaced. Furniture was wet.

Drywall and carpet has to be ripped out now costing us thousands of dollars. Military items were damaged. The list only goes on.

Everdry will not return our calls whatsoever, and I believe that it is very unprofessional on their end. Something needs to be done

Ur such a ***.

Brett F Rkw

Excuses or not, what's in the contract? Unfortunate that you're still having problems, but if things are leaking that are not covered, why should they fix them? Were these items that are supposedly not covered outlined in the contract that you signed?

I apologize if that sounds insensitive, I'm just speculating.. I've just seen a lot of complaints on here with weak arguments...

I'm only saying that because I had some plants die on the outside from when they were digging- however, I was warned this might have happened, and it was noted within the contract, so I didn't put up a fuss. Great experience overall on my end.
