EveryDry Basement Waterproofing

Updated by user Dec 09, 2011

I still stand by my 2009 statement about EverDry basement waterproofing. I strongly tell friends NOT to do business with this company.

I was laughed at when I asked them to come out and look at my sump pump -- so bfarger -- you were lucky and must not live in So. IL.

I have never been treated so shoddily by a business and my basement is still not dry! 2011

This company will preach customer service but will not comply after they have received all the monies owed. Once you pay them, they don't care.

They provide a $40 yearly Maintenance Service - but that is worthless also. You have a problem and you call; they say they will be out but you never see them.

I got the 2 sump pump motors. One was a backup. they plugged up the hole out of the basement for the backup pump - so that will never work.

The main sump pump turned on and never turned off. I came home to my basement filled with electrical smoke.

I'm sure a fire would have started eventually if I hadn't noticed or smelled the electrical smel of burned wire. I do not recommend them at all.

I've been looking at various complaints for Everdry, and I must say this is another one that just doesn't seem like it translates...

First, in response to another comment here, you've got to understand that there is a difference between intentionally not standing behind a product, and the company going out of business...

Also, I must say I disagree with the annual service fee being "worthless." I pay my fee, which as I recall I had the option to decline- and so far I've received a free sump pump replacement, as well as a couple small leaks repaired for free. I've been dry since the repairs were done, and I didn't have to pay for the repairs, which was nice.

As I've said in a few other posts, I was referred by a friend to Everdry, so I know that I'm not the only satisfied customer...

everdry, southbend indiana office. High pressure salesmen.

refused to give written estimate and made verbal offers only. greatly exagerated problems in basement and indicated possible future lawsuit to recoop repair costs from contractor's insurance carrier.

when the 2nd saleman finally left he took all figures and papers with him, apparently to leave no proof of the scam. everdry wasted 5hrs of our time and we feel thankful to have escaped their clutches.

The company has left home owners in southern Illinois and eastern Missouri "high and dry" as far as their worthless "lifetime transferable" warranty. I have paid for the warranty every year since the early 90s and all of a sudden they are out of business in this area and won't even return my calls or e-mails to them.

I agree, this company is full of hot air, they are only interested in saying anything and doing anything to get a sale, without any regard to the customer. Brent, the owner of the northern Indiana office, Is just some young want a be businessman, who just craps on people when they try to do business with him.

I don't even think he's old enough to be taken seriously as a businessman. Someone should teach him some business etiquette.
