Poor workmanship waste of money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • Sales pitch was good, but reality differed.
  • The water pump was placed in a bedroom and moved.
  • Warranty requires annual payment; resealing was charged.

I called them as I thought they were the best. Great presentation from sales rep but reality so different.

I had fully finished basement and they decided it was a good idea to put the water pump in middle of bedroom. Had to call them again to change the pump location. They forgot to mention that warrantee is only valid if you pay every year for it. After 1,5 years and some recent strong rain I again have the same problem with water in my basement.

They came back and ask me to pay to reseal outside as the sealing was gone. What a joke.

For the price u pay for their service you would expect better quality of work. Run away from them

Waterproofing $ air cleaner

AI Highlights
  • Everdry promised products and service did not exist.
  • Installation was poor.
  • Air test found no black mold; after-effects cost more than initial payment.

I made a very bad choice by hiring Everdry. Their products & service promised were non existent.

They do not care how their inferior products result in major damage to your home to say nothing about the quality of the air you breathe! I hired an environmental company to test the air and was very grateful that it was not black mold! The staff is courteous over the phone but the whole business is a scam! I have never heard a word from them again.

They did an inferior installation and did not stand up to their products.

As a result their after effects have cost me more than twice what I paid for the job in the beginning. So if you have money to burn hire them & good luck!

Did not show up and when did work did not happen

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • Scheduling issues: first appointment no-show and rescheduled.
  • Customer seeks refund and to hire another contractor.

I had to call multiple times to get the appointment scheduled (30 days after they took my money) for them to fix a foundation crack. The 1st appointment they did not show up, when I called they told me they had no appointment.

They rescheduled for the following week. The repair was to fix the crack and apply stable wall to the interior wall of the call space. When I asked about the crack being fixed, the repair person nastily told me he was not fixing any cracks and proceeded to pack his stuff up and leave. When I called the office I was told they can not handle anything with service on Saturday and someone would have to call on Monday.

I now want my money returned and I will contract someone else to do the work. I am very disappointed in this company they did not have good customer service and did not live up to the contract that I signed with them to fix the crawl space wall.

EverDry - Waterproofing Service Review from Atlanta, Georgia

AI Highlights
  • Paid $16,000 for Everdry's dig-out package covering walls and a sump pit.
  • They did not fix the bowing wall; fraud claims accompany extra-cost beams.

I went with everdrys package of digging on the outside and inside, covering walls and a sump pit. Cost me $16,000.

The reason I went with them was because I was getting water in basement on a bowing wall. I'm no longer getting water but the wall is bowing further and gonna cave soon. The reason I went with them was because they said u had to relieve the hydrostatic pressure on that wall. Well they never dug on that part of the wall because they said they were afraid of collapse.

It has substantially bowed worse and they will not fix that wall. Bottom line is I believe this was fraud. Paid for the whole package and they didn't complete. Argued multiple times about this.

They said they would add some vertical beams at an additional cost. $16,000 not enough? Just beware of what u are getting into. Now I am putting up my own beams to hopefully fix the problem.

Wall might be too bad so I might end up jacking the house and replacing the wall.

Every time j think about it my head explodes. Buyer beware.

Not trying to take sides but if your wall is bowing then you absolutely have to relieve the hydrostatic pressure by installing a drainage system. It is years and years of standing water and poor drainage around the home that causes bowing.

Most waterproofing companies only relieve hydrostatic pressure but some do offer beams for bowing walls.

Beams are usually a separate charge. check your paperwork to see if you were charged for them and then Contact a structural engineer to correct the bowing issue.

AI Highlights
  • Salesman lied to get more money.
  • Crawlspace was dry; sealing claimed; leaks fixed after a year.
  • Paid 15k; same work could be done for 5.5k by a competitor.

I had everdry look at leak on one wall of a 1/4 basement. The salesman said I also had water in my crawlspace and would need the foundation sealing and drainage around the perimeter of the house.

When workers came they said the crawlspace was bone dry and that 3/4 of the foundation could not be treated as contracted. There was not enough foundation. The salesman lied to get more money. I called the company several times & no one returned calls.

I spoke with the head worker about an adjustment on cost, he said he would relay the request. It took a year of return visits before leaks, that were not there before, were fixed. I paid 15k and could have had the same work for $5500 by their competitor. There dehumidifier is a joke.

After reporting to BBB I was told that the cost was based on the job, not on what work was done. So now I pay $50 a year to maintain a warranty. I wonder if it is any good.

Too many workers & not enough knowledgable leaders. I would not recommend.

EverDry Waterproofing Of Atlanta - EverDry - Deposit Review from *** Georgia

This is a recent picture of James Scuka and his wife Jamie Scuka. They BOTH are CROOKS!

They both have started NEW businesses! DO NOT USE EITHER OF THEM FOR ANYTHING.

They BOTH belong in JAIL!

Ripped me off $4,000! They took a deposit, illegally endorsed a check & never even started my roofing job.

The 'free' inspection that never happened

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • Everdry called to confirm the appointment for me and my husband; ex on the deed and remodel paid.
  • I canceled after they offered a free inspection.

Everdry called to confirm the appointment for me and my husband. I indicated that I am no longer married, a point I had made when the persistent salesman made the appointment.

The caller asked if my ex was still on the deed (as if that matters). I indicated that he is and asked if that's a problem. Everdry stated that I could gladly pay for the 'free' inspection, so I canceled. I guess I should have reminded Everdry that I just remodeled my kitchen and refinished my floors, and not one contractor asked if my ex was still on my deed or if my ex would be contributing to the payment for services rendered.

BTW: The renovation is paid in full. Thanks, but no thanks Everdry.

Preferred solution: Learn from your poor customer service

I just had the EveryDry rep ask me if I had a husband at home too - like a woman can't afford a nice home on their own. Tacky!

Very pushy salesperson and expensive quote. Be cautious folks - get several quotes and talk to your neighbors.

I know this is old, but I find this very interesting.

Everydry came around offering "Free Inspections" in my neighborhood yesterday.

They were very persistent about the whole, "When is your husband home," thing. I find that very odd, especially in today's world.

Why would it matter when my husband is home? I've never had anyone ask me something like that before.

They actually showed up to my house for an appointment. My wife got held up at work (her schedule isn't very flexible) when they found out she wasn't going to be here they said they had to leave and could not follow through with the appointment.

I offered to do a video conference with her through the phone and they said no they can't do that. My wife seems to think that both parties need to be here so they can get both signatures right away.

My roof leaked after instaltion and they will not fix

AI Highlights
  • They did not start the job and delayed.
  • They damaged items and hid them; rain worsened.
  • Stay away; they won't fix; roof and TV damaged.

They did not start my job, it took them forever, they broke things in my home and tried to hide them, after the job was done we have had much rain...they kept telling me they were going to fix it, they did not....I have given them months...finally Jamie told me they have no intention of fixing what they did wrong and that it was my fault....time for a lawyer...the damage is to the roof, not the siding and all contents, including the TV that was hanging on the wall . I would stay away from this company. I am sure they will move and change the name of the company again, this seems to be the theme from all I have read!!!!

MCDONOUGH — A Buford roofer faces charges in Henry County that he took thousands of dollars from customers without providing services.

James Lee Scuka, 39, of Clarecastle Drive, is out of jail on $15,000 bond. He has been charged with theft by deception.

One warrant alleges Scuka, a self-employed contractor for Everdry Roofing, accepted two checks totaling $8,885.47 for roof repairs but failed to complete the work.

Police allege Scuka “knew the company was having problems and that the work wouldn’t be done.”

A second warrant alleges deposit account fraud and felony theft by taking. Police allege Scuka accepted a $14,439 check from a McDonough customer and failed to complete the work.

When the customer balked at the amount and demanded a partial refund, police said Scuka wrote a check for $6,279.19 that bounced.
