The owner of Euclid Shoe Repair, Jun, is truly a ***

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I came here because my normal shoe repair is too far and I was being lazy. First of all, he over priced me saying the jobs would cost $70. When I called my normal place to get a price match they told me the same jobs would cost $50. While I was on the phone the guy was super short with me saying he can't wait on the line. After I got off the phone I asked for a price match. Straight up told me no and then gave me a attitude. This is no way to do business. I will never ever go here ever!

Btw.... Don't come here with expensive shoes. He thought my Tory burch were Michael Kors and offered to do the red rubber sole on my Christian Louboutin after he asked me if Louboutins were different bc normally people don't say the Christian part.

So I took my shoes to my normal shoe repair the price for the same jobs ended up being $30

I usually tried not to write bad reviews but the attitude at the end Just did it for me

Thanks for the reply but the reason why I said "normal shoe repair place" is because I'm not trying to promote any other place, this review was purely about your shops attitude. Also the way you conduct business. If you read my other reviews on places, I normally don't write negative reviews unless there's blood spilled. But I'm sure the person replying back to this yelp review isn't the same person that was there at the shop that day (the accent)

So if you weren't even there, how do you even know what had happened before you write the that the price quote was fair?

Anyway, don't bother replying, in the end, the price was ridiculous, tried to charge 70$ for a $30 job. When I didn't want to pay 70$ the person gave me an attitude, gave me an attitude when I was on the phone.

Beware! Someone else posing as owner

None of the posts on this website (and likely in other websites like this one) are from the actual owner! I am a personal friend of the owner and he is fighting to find out who is falsifying stories, posing as the owner, and posting offensive replies.

None of the posts are from the real owner!! Just because some people are dissatisfied with the service at a small business, it does not mean that said small business should be "bombed" on yelp and google+. Small business owners are trying to make a living for themselves and I know the owner here at Euclid Shoe Repair conscientiously puts effort into his work and is always fair to his customers.

Again- BEWARE, none of the posts from the "owner" below are from the actual owner. Someone else is falsifying his identity and posting wrongful attacks at this owner and at this business!

That definitely was written by the owner of the business. If you get bad reviews, it is due to being a *** to customers.

It is pretty simple. Nobody feels bad for a "small business".

You are small for a reason. The reason being that you suck as a business owner!

Did something change with this place over a year???

They must have changed owners or repair staff, because they are not great anymore. Sorry to say....They've gone down in service and up in price!

They charge premium prices for delayed, average services. Customer service is really subpar and forget about talking to them on the phone. They drop calls easily because they don't know how to use the hold button properly. You can't get away with what they first quote you without them doubling/tripling it. Since they already have your shoes, you can't bother with retrieving them and trying someplace else...very sly....

They "delay quote" you at the time you drop off your shoes, mentioning that it shouldn't be very much.

Then, they call you, and wham, it's this costs this and that costs that, this is not included, so that is also this much.....Okay, at least $50 for something that you thought was for $20 or less. So you think about it hard, hmmmm are these shoes worth that much?... And then, when you ask them when they can get it done, they tell you that it's approximately a week, but no guarantees...they'll call you when it's ready.

So I did this once, thinking "hey, they must do a really good job for these prices"...but no. I had a pair of shoes resoled for $70. These were a $100 pair of shoes when new. When I got the shoes, not only did they not polish (apparently it's not included in the $70 service!!!!) but they couldn't even wipe it with a napkin. They were dusty and dirty. Seriously, for these prices, how can you not simply wipe it? It only costs $5 to shine shoes at your local car wash, but they can charge $70 for labor and parts for the soles and glue. I got my shoes 10 days later, and that was after I called and asked about it on day 7, day 8, and day 9....

Again, what a liar.

I am now positive all the reviews on this site are true! :p :p :p

Funny... looks like the owner is trying to be slick.

What kind of person would write "so unbelievably purposed review in order to harm small business." if it was not the owner. Stop crying :cry :cry :cry :cry

BEWARE: OWNER IS TRYING TO LIST GOOD COMMENTS ON THIS WEBSITE!

Hi all! Just wanted to let you all know the owner of this business is now trying to leave good comments on each bad review under the name Anonymous from Los Angeles.

I am sure the owner is going to read this review and change the name he is using. DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE POSTS IN THE COMMENT SECTION! He is trying to falsely change his businesses appearance! After reading a number of bad reviews I believe this guy (Jun) bought the business and is driving it into the ground.

It appears he has also got several review removed on Yelp! - Jeckles

THIS GUY / BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE YELP BOMBED!!!

After having an approximate 20 minutes conversation with the owner of this company, Jun, via the comment section of this website, I can see why people think this guy is a *** I believe he is acting this way around his customers and is losing tons of business! Not only did he blame his customer for the problems he is having, but called them all ugly (which seems like a strange way to describe a unsatisfied customer).

I think this guy needs to learn his lesson and get yelp bombed, bombed on google+, bombed on yahoo business, and bombed on insiderpages! - Jeckles

To quote the owner of this business on the previous comment: "The problem is that all the people who think I am problematic so far are ill-intentioned reviewers." Don't you think you may have made these so-called "ill-intentioned reviewers" so mad that they felt the need to write comments about you? How pompous can you be blaming your customers? Jeckles is right you deserve to get bombed!

Guest

The problem is that all the people who think I am problematic so far are ill-intentioned reviewers. I know I don't have to respond to every bad review but this is a minimum guidance for a good customers in discerning the truth.

I understand your mind making deformed review, however this situation will be generating a better circumstance on my business so I would thank you on your concern.

By far the worst shoe repair place in Orange County!

I'd chosen Euclid Shoe Repair for the rave reviews I saw here, but after my experience, I'm a bit baffled as to why the feedback is so positive. I needed a pair of shoes stretched and two bags to be worked on (reglazing and odor removal -- one used bag still smelled of cigarettes). I was told that in a week, my shoes and bags would be ready.

Long story short, I returned in a week and nothing had been done; the man up front admitted he hadn't even started working on my bags because of an event he had to attend, and when I went home to put the "stretched" shoes on, the sizes of the shoes hadn't even changed. When I returned the next day for my bags, the initial problems hadn't even been fixed -- he admitted he couldn't get the glaze to match the rest of the bag (even though I pointed out in the very beginning that I'd already taken the bag to a different repair man, who had also failed to fix it), and seemed to have just sprayed the second bag with a mint freshener that hardly even masked the cigarette smell. (I've since found that just airing out the bag outdoors did the trick.) I also brought back my shoes, and asked him to restretch them; when I came back in yet another week, the shoes had been stretched, but this time they were uneven.

On that last visit, I decided to forget about the shoes and just ask the man for a refund for the bags; I had paid $60 for both, and the little to no time that'd been spent on them really showed. The owner came to the front, he was hostile and offered me NO REFUND. I won't be returning.

Do Not Go Here!

Dropped off 2 handbags for repairs. One old, one I found on sale & loved only to find a latch broken. It was a great deal so I thought worth it to have fixed instead of return to Saks. He wanted $40, negotiated to $30, paid up front. BTW-he said he "really wanted to fix them for me" He gave me a week. 1st visit-closed. 2nd visit-"What did you leave here?" 3rd visit-he can't find my bags. I look over the counter and they are sitting at his feet, untouched. I told him just give me my bags back!!!! Tells me a story how he was sick for 3 days, blah, blah, blah...4th visit-poor Lil Old Lady is on 2nd try to pick up her new tennis shoe that he needs to put a lift in, she leaves empty handed! AND my bags are at his brother's- WTH??? Again, he states " I really want to fix your purses" I reply, " I don't think you do! Cause if you did, you would!" 5th visit- closed 6th visit-Finally get my bags, so excited, 1 is OK, 2 he didn't even touch except to take a strap off some old piece of *** bag in his store and put on my Rebecca Minkoff bag! I was LIVID!!!! Told him to keep $10 and give me back $20-had to settle for $15.

That ***!!!! And I returned the Minkoff back to Saks because I could not stand the sight of it since it reminded me of him (& it was still broken!)

Total time my poor purses were there=5 weeks!

Plus, when I told him what a horrible business person he was-he finally spoke clear English and told me to leave & have a nice day!

He seriously should not be in business and I will be reporting him to the BBB!

New Owner/Operator does *** work

Last week I dropped off two purses for a simple repair. To my surprise the owner/operator Joe was not there but a guy who introduced himself as Jun. Immediately Jun was hesitate in attempting to fix two very simple zipper repairs. He made countless excuses as to why he could not make the repairs. This should have been a big red flag and I should have not left the purses there (NOTE: When Joe was still running the place he could do any repair).

After leaving the purses there approximately a week I got them back. The repair work was some of the most *** work I have ever seen. The switch marks appeared to be done with a home sewing machine. If they were done with an industrial sewing machine you could easily see the difference. Further, there was glue marks as if he knew his sewing machine would not work and decided to glue the zipper back together.

Upon pointing out this flaw to him, Jun became extremely confrontational and offered no refund for his work.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS BUSINESS APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SOLD RECENTLY. THE OWNER JOE IS NO LONGER THERE. THE NEW OWNER JUN DOES BAD WORK.

NEW OWNERS = BAD SERVICE

Walked in to business and asked if they could repair the tips on a pair of stilettos. The woman behind the counter said, yes, she examined the shoes and said we can repair for ten dollars.

She then called a man to the front and he said, yes, ten dollars. There was an older hispanic woman standing on the same side of the counter as I was and she said in spanish, 'thats not enough. twenty dollars.' The couple looked at her, then looked at me and said, 'Its going to cost 20 dollars. Is that okay?' I told them that's how you do business.

No, its not okay!' They handed me my shoes back and I left. Very disappointed, but I'm not *** either!

I would never refer anyone to this place of business. And its such a shame because they (not the old woman) seemed like nice people.

Worst shoe repair EVER!

I went in to repair my shoe. All they needed to do is add some glue to stick the sole together.

Well they ended up sanding the side of the sole now it looks weird. I would definitely not recommend this place for shoe repair. The owner JUN was confrontational and made the lamest excuses as to why my shoes came back so jacked up.

All he simply needed to do was repair the issues he caused and refund some of my money, but he decided he would be a *** instead. GO SOME PLACE ELSE IF YOU NEED SHOE REPAIR WORK!

JUN is the worst repair guy EVER!

BEWARE THIS BUSINESS HAS BEEN BOUGHT OUT BY A ***-ARTIST! The owner (and nicest guy in the world) Joe has sold the business to a man name Jun.

I gave two of my wife's purses to Jun to repair and he did the worst job ever. Both needed zipper repair and he used the wrong color thread when repairing them. When I asked why he used the thread he said, "it was all he had".

He refused to refund my money nor would he repair the damage he did. As I said BEWARE JOE IS GONE AND DO NOT BRING YOUR REPAIRS TO JUN!

Does NOT get jobs done on time!

This is a review my mom wanted me to do for her lol.

She said she took in a pair of high heel boots. When she went to get them he wasn't ready and told her to come back some other day.

She got frustrated because she said days, weeks passed by and he wasn't ready.

So, she had me take her there and told him to just give her the shoes back and she paid him about 20 for an unfinished job. The owner JUN actually TOOK THE MONEY and would not apologize for not completing the work on time.
