Verified Reviewer |Mono case is not what I ordered
Hello,
I recently bought an Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty guitar Long and Mcquade in Vancouver BC Canada. I saw the guitar and hard shell case that the Majesty came with in November of 2022 and placed my order based on that guitar and case I saw.
I was very disappointed in seeing the Mono case that it comes with now. It's a glorified Gig Bag and I can't understand why a guitar that cost $5400 would come with such an inferior case.
I am hoping for you to please exchange this case for the previous hard shell cases that the Majesty came with. I really really hope you guys can do this for me as I absolutely LOVE the guitar. But, if I cannot get a proper case, I don't know if I'd keep it.
I bought my guitar from Long and Mcquade Vancouver BC.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm really really hoping I can just send this case back and get the old hardshell case from you.
User's recommendation: Make sure you are good with the new Mono case.
Amazing Customer Service
First of all I’m not a pissed customer. The guys at Ernie are Amazing helpful and friendly.... Never talked to a Machine at all.I like that.
Lying National Sales Manager; faulty guitars; warranty worthless
I bought 3 Music Man Albert Lee guitars. All three had fret sprout and cracked neck joints. When I called Ernie Ball/Music Man Guitars, the technician said to send the guitars to them for warranty neck replacements. When I called back later that day to get the RMA, the National Sales Manager, named A.J., essentially called me a liar and said that the technician never promised me new necks on the defective guitars.
After sending in the three guitars, AJ then refused to repair them under warranty even though he knew that 3 guitars with the exact same problems was a defect issue.
Horrible company. I will never buy a guitar from them again. Buy from Fender or Gibson, but not Ernie Ball.
Hope the $90 the Ernie Ball company saved by not repairing the guitars costs them in the loss of customers.
Beware any company that lies to its customers.

Musicman dead G string!
I purchased a 1993 all original Ernie Ball music man stingray bass over the internet, and although it had no warranty and I took a risk buying it, I believed the music man brand was a brand I could trust. After receiving this bass and plugging it in I noticed that the G sting was incredibly weak, and most of the notes on this string were dead.
I then changed the strings and the battery this made no difference. I then adjust the pickup to factory settings it made no difference. I then adjusted the G string side up so high it was almost touching the string, this improved the sound slightly. Taking this bass around to my local music store, I was told I would need to replace the factory preamp or the pick up or both.
I then decided to type music man weak g string into Google and was amazed at the amount of people in forums from all over the world talking about this very issue. I have just found out the the guy that imported this bass from the U.S. for $1300 resold it to me a week later for the same price. I then contacted music man to get some information and was told a weak G string is part of the guitars sound, as it was designed for slap and funk players, yet most of the guys that bought these were heavy rock players.
Now I know this bass is second hand, and I can respect that, but to be told I would need to purchase a revised preamp from them for $65.00 + postage and handling + the cost to have it repaired with no guarantee it will fix the problem is just not good enough. How could I have any faith in there product again.
I took a chance and its going to cost me big time...and that's ok. Next time I will put my money in a brand I can trust.
